| Hey sports fans, Now that D13 has experienced it's first spontaneous mission, you can expect a punishment and evaluation log to go up within about a week. Backtagging the mission is still totally alright and encouraged, but in the interest of keeping the pace and understanding what your character's will experience, we'd like everyone to know what punishments or rewards they're in for.
In order for this to happen, all D13ers will need to check into this post and rate your character's performance. It's up to you to do a small summary or just a few words, remember that D13 is looking for ruthlessness and efficiency so anything that prompts hesitation or weakness in your character would be an example of poor performance. This round in particular is special because there was no real success.
In a related note, D13 characters can expect a surprise of sorts that will be set after their punishments but the post may arrive before then. As usual, the quicker this gets done, the quicker character's can receive their evaluations. It should not impact their reactions too much, nobody will receive immediate severe punishments. |

| As some of you may have noticed, there have been changes to the mod team. Recently Yami and Ali chose to step down as mods and leave the game. Due to this, all helper mods are now just regular mods.
Pengu (Thor Odinson, Tres Jolie, Dave Strider, L4D Nick) has stepped up to be our new head mod, seeing over the game and District 13 in particular. Danya (Clara Murphy, Darcy Lewis) has taken on the task of being our OOC mod, covering lists, the wiki, atp, and more. Manda (Bucky Barnes MCU, Clementine), Fritz (The Initiate, Hannah Megido), and Sarah (Swann Honeymead, Molotov Cocktease) will be working as your IC mods, working on Celebrus, events, arenas, crownings, and still more. We look forward to steering The Games towards an engaging and exciting endgame with you all. We also would like to thank you all for your patience with us as we get re-situated.
Another thing we would like to make clear ICly is that the carrying of knives and other weapons is strictly prohibited for Tributes and they will be apprehended, questioned, and likely punished if found with weapons on their person. Further, anti-capitol speech is heavily monitored by the Capitol. Openly anti-capitol, anti-president commentary particularly on public network can also result in arrest, questioning, and punishment. If you are willing to have your character caught for this, please contact the mods to let us know what your character will be doing so we can work with you.
Final thing is that we have an upcoming HMD set for May first! This HMD is going to be mandatory and all players will need to post there to pass AC when it comes up before the arena. Players can also expect a write up of some end-game plans and thoughts some time post HMD.
EDIT: we'd also like to take a moment to remind players of the importance of using character tags on any posts or logs in which your character is a participant. Not only is this helpful in keeping track of your characters activity for your own personal AC use but also as a way for the mods (and other players) to follow your characters story in the game. |

| With each mod post we've mentioned a rough estimate of remaining Arenas and we've been slowly ticking them down. Right now as we've planned it we have two Arenas left on the horizon, which will see us through until September/October or so. We're getting down to the wire, but since we've had mod changeover and some changes in the playerbase, we want to open up a vote to all of the Games' players as to see if this is the direction the game should take in the near future. If so, things will definitely start picking up pace.
Once we start into endgame, things will be heading into war. Our intention as mods is to aim for something more interesting than standard NPC'd fight threads. We hope to bring some real action and drama in, both with District 13 and the other remaining districts, in order to have a fun and engaging experience for everyone. The Capitol will also be looking to claim soldiers for their side, and this ultimately may mean friend fighting friend through the streets. We want to hear from you what you all would like to see of the war, to see if there are any suggestions we can incorporate and any direction we can approach. After all, this is your story to write, even if we're throwing the curveballs. How do you want it to end?
Two things that we want to see come from the descent into endgame include both revealing the nature of the Tribute's resuscitations from death and the chips every Tribute has within them. Looking into the chips - which are what cause the character powers to be locked, among other things - might open the chance to unlock powers later during the war, if that's what the majority wants. At this point, it is only matter of justification whether fear of the powers would win out over Capitol's and District 13's desire to use them against each other in the absence of nuclear weapons. The purpose of this poll here is to get a general feel for how the players as a body feel about learning this (potentially triggering, let's be real we're talking about death here) revival mechanic, Tribute's memories, and of powers being used within the war.
So we're taking a vote!
We ask that everyone leave their thoughts of yes or no for powers, touching on revival and memories, and sticking to 2 Arenas, or extending the game further to a maximum of 4 Arenas, taking us another year before we hit endgame. We have also given the option of leaving suggestions, though this may be kept blank.
Please fill out the following:
You have until April 16th to respond to this poll or you will be considered as having no preference.
Thank you and Happy Hunger Games! |

| Hello everyone! We’ve made some major changes to the activity and credits system that all players must read and understand. We ask that all members comment to this post verifying that they have read and understand the new expectations. ( Important Info Under Cut: ) |

| Hi guys, Due to some recent feedback and consideration of the roles Tower Staff (Escorts, Stylists and Mentors) play in the game, we would are amending the rules a little so that the differences between playing a Tribute and Staff are underlined. Staff players are integral to the development of Districts as teams and apping into a position is in itself a guarantee for CR between the player and their Tributes. As such, it's important to make sure that Staff are actively posting in the comms where Tributes can engage with them. In light of this, we are making district open posts mandatory (any open post made by staff players, specifically directed at their District Teams for escorting, styling and etc.) for Staff players, but we would like to reward this by upping the value of these posts. A post is worth 15 points now, a district open posts will be worth 25 points which is a quarter of your CR, but this only applies to Capitol Characters. One open post per cycle is mandatory per activity cycle. These can be network posts or in the form of logs. In addition to this, we would like to propose the addition of Contact Post for Staff only. For those of you who don't know what a Contact Post is, here is an example. It's simply a post for contacting Staff about queries and questions in lieu of making a new post every time. The threads on this post can be counted towards AC for both Staff and Tributes, but only threads on Staff Contact posts need apply. The reasoning behind this is the fact that the number of Staff is outweighed by Tributes and obviously they do not participate in Arenas. Feel free to use this post to ask questions, these changes will go ahead through the next activity cycle. |

| So, as many people here know, I've been planning my mod 'retirement' for a while now. With all the plots I wanted to run finished, I'm done, as of today, as a mod. It's been an honor serving you, and despite the fact that I burned out a while ago, this has still been the best modding experience of my life by far.
I'll be finishing up the Private Interviews plot, which should be up in a little over a week. I'm hoping to come back as a helper to write Panem Nightlies on occasion, but we'll see where life takes me.
With that, I would like to extend a huge thank-you to Reiko and Pengu for stepping up to take my place. I'm so excited to see the places they and Te and the helpers will take us from here. |

| Recently, a few things have gone down in the game. First, the head of police was found murdered in her home, and several Tributes were brought in as suspects to jail. There, they were branded with the marks of being 'traitors' and brutally interrogated. Many of their fellows tried to jailbreak them, but though some managed to escape for a week or so, everyone was eventually caught and sent back into the Arena. Those with brands woke with them despite being physically 'reset' after their death in the mall Arena.
During the Arena, a disgruntled Mentor used a Peacekeeper's security clearance to access the security grid of the Capitol and shut it down for three hours, during which there was a riot where many people died or went missing. The list of the dead and missing includes Tributes, Mentors, Stylists and Capitol citizens. During this, many Tributes and Mentors gained government secrets, stockpiled supplies or found hiding places.
As such, the Capitol has become much less lenient with the Tributes. Peacekeepers can be found on every corner, and they aren't afraid to taser and beat Tributes for backtalk. They will be harsh with anyone they see as not properly respecting their authority, and will constantly remind the Tributes that they have their loved ones hostage. New Tributes are advised to be very careful until this all blows over. |

| Hey Tributes and Capitolites, friendly neighborhood listmod here just letting you know we've been hard at work getting the player contact page as up to date as possible. However! We need a little bit of help from you. Yes, you! A lot of players are missing characters, contact info, or just missing altogether, so we'd like to request that everyone go take a look and make sure your entry is present and correct. If not, please comment on the post using one of the forms at the bottom and we'll make sure your entry is updated asap. Thanks so much and may the odds be ever in your favor. |

| We’d like to make a quick announcement before returning you to your regularly scheduled death match.
Sarah has decided to step down from modding in order to focus on real life obligations. Sarah has been with the game since it’s inception and she was instrumental in getting the game off the ground. We are grateful for the hard work she put into the game and wish her the best as she pursues other interests!
In light of that, we have asked a few players to join the mod team as help staff. Please welcome Pengu (Dave, Hans, Thor, & Très Jolie), Reiko (Albert), and Yami (Buddy, Enjolras, Garak, & Pietro) as helper mods! They’ll be in charge of assisting with the lists, improving the codes, processing some applications, and generally helping out with administrative duties. We are so excited to have them aboard and look forward to them settling into their new positions in the coming weeks. |

| Some updates from your friendly, neighborhood Spider-Terra! FAQ|The new FAQ is done! We recommend reading over it, just as a refresher, and because there are some little bits of new information. The links in the information masterpost will be updated shortly for this new FAQ. Also this is going to be an easier to update living document situation! So feel free to drop any questions there. Bidding|We decided to track this particular plot device a little more closely, for obvious reasons. We know it's a sticky one, but also one relevant to the world. Check out this post for more information on this game mechanic. Activity/Points|We got some feedback about activity, and decided to add another way to earn credits: CUMULATIVE COMMENTS ON A POST || +5 Credits for every 20 comments up to 200 || This does not require threads to be finished, or to necessarily involve the post maker entirely. It is to reward people who make posts which creates activity. We do reserve to reject these points if the original poster is inactive or barely active within their own post.So pretty much what this means is if you make a party post or a network post that 50 people tag into but all the conversations end up short and sweet, you can still get some points for it. Propaganda/NPCs|Expect to hear some news soon about this now that the Penny plot is pretty much resolved. We did get more signs ups than expected, so at least the first heat is going to be a smaller group, and we do apologize. We tried to plot it out with a larger group, and it just started falling apart. In addition to this, a new NPC regime will be stepping in. Our goal with all these NPCs is to have them just here to facilitate/hand-wave plot, so little to no threading out will be happening. That way plots can move faster, and end up more in the players hands. |
