The Final Battle

And with the end of the Last Flower Girl Plot, our Final Battle is ready to go! This will run much like an arena in that there will be rolls to determine who makes it to what part, a place to do buyouts, plotting, etc, and there will be events with each roll (most of them small, a few of them bigger). The first roll will go on up June 1st. Rather than have this go weekly, the rolls will be every three OOC days and will follow the events of one IC day. There will be eight rounds total. Plotting and all else will be on one page which the rolls will all link back to. We would also like to note that while there will be events with each roll, players are not obligated to play with each one. You are all 100% free to pick and choose!

Those who signed up for fourth wall will finally get their time to shine with the beginning of these battles. Once these go live, you may all finally reveal your secret!

We hope you'll all have fun and stick with us for the true actual endgame and aftermath to follow. May the odds be ever in your favor.

The Last Flower Girl - DETONATION PLOTTING

The major part of the portal plot has finally begun! Capitol-soldiers and all Capitol-offworlders (as hostage) are now entering the fray but disaster has struck! Characters will need to work together to stop the Destruction of Panem! How this works is as follows:

1. Those who want their characters to go home (especially at the risk of breaking the character if not) will get to do so! They may or may not have memories of Panem. The chances of memories are low but we're not going to stop you from having characters bring their chips with them! Characters who are leaving will have this last minute chance to shout goodbyes. Let us know in the "LEAVING" header if that's the case for you. (You are still, of course, welcome to stick around with NPC peacekeepers or with the 4th wall.)

2-a. Those characters who are staying are staying for life! They may not even go home on death, who knows, but keeping memories is something that will (need) to be dealt with later! Panem is your home now and you've got to fight for it. If your character is a native, this has always been home and so of course they'll be staying. Regardless, If your character is on this mission and staying please leave a comment under the "STAYING" header.

2-b. If your character is staying, what you'll need to do is place at least one comment from your character in the scientist thread! This comment is about taking hands to help the scientist reach the computers without being drawn in. Once everyone who's staying has commented ICly, the portal's ties will be closed for all but President Snow's, putting a bandaid on the disaster! After that, a third and final piece of this plot will be placed in.

Once this plot is wrapped, we will be heading into our Final Battle and true endgame. Make sure you mark your character in the appropriate comments. If we don't see your name we'll have to assume you're not sticking around!

The Last Flower Girl - Full Game Plot

That's right this upcoming plot is one for the entire game, or at least all the offworlders (which makes up the majority). You will receive more information of it with its posting, but it's with this plot that the mystery of offworlder illness will be solved once and for all.

It will start with a rebel investigation. Capitol offworlders will be coming in later. You should all be seeing this next week. Hold on to your hats everyone!

Breaking The Branches

With the nearing of the final battle comes the final surprises. One surprise is something that you, the players, can affect! We're inviting back the Tributes of the past for one last show.

Unlike in the Once Upon A Dream 4th wall, all visitors will be very much real, and unlike it's 4th wall ancestor Thicker Than Blood, these characters will be engaged in the fighting and will be doing so for the Capitol. To learn a bit about what that could entail, see here.

As for how they'll be serving the Capitol and arriving... that will be kept a secret between you players who sign up and the mods, at least for a little while. For this reason, comments will be screened until looked over.

Please note that exceptions to this rule will be:
-Those originally in 13 who were sent out to do work in the Districts will remain on 13’s side.
-Those who were killed in the Capitol will likely need a case made for them (particularly Panem Natives) and will remain pending until mod approval is received.

Characters who sign up will need to do so by May 16th so they can be added into the Final Battle Death Rolls. These characters may be killed, injured, and "captured" by 13 according to how the rolls go.

Your character does not necessarily have to be a Tribute to come back. They may have been a mentor, a petitioned-out Tribute, a guest in previous 4th walls, or someone new!

To sign up, please fill out the following information:

The actual Final Battle is estimated to begin on the first of June so gear up and get ready!

Rebellion Uprising Results!

Battle: 25%
Speech: 20%
Coin: 20%
Webb: 20%

These percentages add up to 13’s approval.

District Thirteen’s takeover had a 85% success rate! This counts as a surmounting win for the uprising! Congratulations! Evangeline Webb is the new president of District 13 (see Lysoke if you wish to have NPC threads). She will work closely in part with the offworlders. Meanwhile, all those held captive will be freed!

The Offworld Uprising

Hello Games! As you may have noticed, District 13 has hit the peak of its long term plot; Uprising. As Characters work out ICly what they’re going to do and how to take control without upsetting the citizens of District 13, we need to figure out who is doing what OOCly!

Right now, there are a few things you can sign up for;
The confrontation of President Coin; this may or may not involve assassination depending on the choices of those characters selected. 3 People max.
The confrontation of Evangeline Webb. 3 People max.
The uprising speech to the citizens of 13; this will be something meant to appease the citizens and convince them that everyone has to work together, that now when Snow is bearing down on them is not the time when they can afford to fall apart. 4-5 People max.

All the rest in District 13 will need to fight to defend those on these missions, blocking off the halls that lead to them and keeping their allies safe until the citizens can hopefully be appeased. They will have until April 22nd to reach 20 comments. This will affect the success of the Speech as far as how many and how willing the citizens of the 13 are to give up the retaliation and accept the off worlders. The aftermath of coin’s and Webb’s confrontations with also contribute to this.

It’s in the aftermath of this event that the offworlders will be in control of 13. For better… or for worse…

There will be a section for plotting, both the battle and the aftermath, with what roles the offworlders and allies intended to take to keep District 13 afloat.

Sign ups will close on April 14th. Make sure not to miss out!

Rebel Info Sign-Ups! For District 13

We return with another round of sign-ups from District 13! We’ll need about three (2-4) people to receive a new bout of information. The use for this will be revealed soon after. Please put your characters name down believe if you wish for them to receive info. Sign ups close after the 6th of April.

Calling Capitolites and Capitol Sympathizers in District 13

You are needed for a secret plot. We need character with new or old Capitol affiliation to move forward a District 13 plot. These characters will gain info that would be important to offworlders and the war but they will find something that makes it difficult to share this info with them (at least immediately). These characters may face some degree of torment for this plot which may be further discussed upon sign-up, and will also go missing for a brief time. (This will be largely handwaved unless there is desire for otherwise.)

For this reason we are also looking for characters who will search for those who go missing ICly. There people will then be passing this message (handwaved) to District 13 higher ups.

We cannot move this plot forward without these sign ups, but we do not need many. Just a few shall do. To sign up, simply comment under the appropriate header. This will need to be done by March 13th.

I'm Just A Crosshair Sign Ups

Hello Games! We are opening sign-ups for an assassination plot! Exciting! Please state here if you would like your character to perform an assassination. We can take one person from the Capitol and two from the rebellion. They will be selected at semi-randomly for this very important covert mission. We ask that those signing up can prioritize this. You will learn who this is for later.

Sign ups for this will be closing relatively quickly, the characters getting chosen on Thursday and the event for them going up a day later.

A Bloody Valentine

A Bloody Valentine plot is LIVE! See the Dance Auction here and the Investigation here!

Mods have decided that everyone signed up may go on this mission. Investigators will have received a prompt from the following characters: Firo, Altair, Shepard, Derek, Wesker, and Ermac. These people will have told at least two of those signed up. This can however be handwaved. (You may discuss here in plotting over what that message was.)

Investigators will need to look over and through each section to find clues. Fritz-mod will be keeping up with doing replies for these clue-discoveries. Each section should have up to three investigators and no more than that.

Remember, if all clues are found before February 18th at midnight EST, the Tributes will get away with it. If they are not, the Tributes will be caught!

There will be a chance later to send the findings back to District 13.

A Bloody Valentine: Capitol plot!

On February 11th there will be an opportunity for all Capitol-soldiers to preform what may one of the last acts of rebellion they can. If they are signed up OOCly, they will be involved in one of the most story important plots to date. This plot will be taking place ICly during a dance auction on Valentines day. Soldiers will use this as a distraction to temporarily slip away and investigate one of the facilities that have been spray painted with "You are playing with fire" since the beginning of the quarter quell. This plot WILL involve a fairly significant amount of gore and body horror, so be aware of that if you choose to sign up.

A small number will be chosen to preform this investigation. They will receive a message passed along from the rebel side detailing the task and they will then need to send a note back. They will have a chance to find a number of clues. If all clues are found before February 18th at midnight EST, the Tributes will get away with it. If they are not, the Tributes will be caught!

All others on the Capitol side will get to have fun with the dance auction instead! You do not need to sign up for the dance auction. You MUST sign up here for the Mission though.

If you wish for your capitol-soldier to go on this Mission, comment to the sign ups.

Volunteers Needed!

We need volunteers for a plot coming next month. This plot is super important to endgame reveals. What we need is for characters on the District 13 side currently working as soldiers to pass along a message to Captiol-soldiers with secret rebellion sympathies.

The Capitol-soldier receiving this message must be someone willing and able to spread this message to other Capitol soldiers before the plot goes down. This way, multiple characters will be able to participate in said plot.

State here with your character and their alliance (rebellion or capitol) if you would like your character to be a candidate for this.

This message must be passed during the District Liberation(s) coming this Monday.

Mad Science Showdown Plot + an important announcement

Hello, Games. We have a small bit of retcon to address, then something exciting. With the last plot, the power chip liberation, these powers were meant to have been received within the DC based upon IC voluntary sign-ups. They would then be taken to a room where they would receive these abilities as part of testing, albeit with them suppressed. There would be an injection process involved which will be further detailed. However, due to a small slip, a number of character got powers involuntarily, some of such individuals being from District 13.

For the following characters:

Bayard
Rick Grimes
Daryl
Ellis
Karkat
Wyatt

Please assume these powers were involuntarily given without their knowledge at an earlier date. This can be following their last arena death and revival. They would be considered a part of prototype experimentation.

For all other non-powered characters who received abilities, you may assume your character willingly volunteered or received abilities without their knowledge. Now on to the fun stuff.

Power Chip Liberation: Plotting Post

Heads up, players! The following plot, though instigated by District Thirteen, will affect and include characters in the Capitol as well.

As you might be aware, characters' superpowers are kept in check by the chips implanted in them. Every (former) Tribute has these chips, as they monitor other functions as well (for example, tracking and memory retention), although D13 will have disabled the tracking function. D13 has had hackers working on disabling the security systems that protect the manufacturing plant where the control tower for these chips is located, owned by Gowan Stevens in District Six. Once the hackers - who will have their own IC prompt - have disabled security, D13's soldiers will storm the plant and remove some of the restraints on people using their powers.

Unfortunately, the science behind the chips is imperfect, and D13 hasn't had enough time to perfect what it is they're trying to accomplish. D13 command has put emphasis on taking control of the powers, but the Capitol has implemented a failsafe: D13 will not be able to control who receives their abilities back, and anyone with a chip - Tribute, offworld Mentor, or even NPC Peacekeeper - will suddenly have access to unfathomable powers. And some of these powers are incredibly volatile or uncontrollable.

If your character has a chip in their arm, please comment below with whether your character has superpowers/magic in their canon, and I will RNG:

- for non-powered characters, a randomly-assigned selection of powers for this plot only.
- for powered characters, a description of any 'hiccups' or difficulties your character might face using those powers. These might include physical pain at using the abilities, difficulty controlling them, an intense mind-addling adrenaline high or more.

Gamebreaking powers will be capped. If you are unclear on how your character's powers should be capped, ask in the Questions thread. Please bear in mind that even characters who would not have had a chip (Panem natives) can still participate in this plot, but just won't have superpowers.

At the conclusion of this plot, powers will be turned off, but it's now D13 that has control over when they are allowed, not the Capitol. Powers being turned on becomes the nuclear option, as turning it on for one side means turning it on for the other. Both sides, naturally, will be working behind the scenes to try and figure out how to allow their soldiers to have powers while the other side can't.

Please go to the sign-ups below and plot! You may choose one prompt for your character to respond to; I have left them vague intentionally, but let me know if I have not provided you enough information to adequately plot out some character beats. In the IC post, there will be a lot more scene-setting and direction, and if the responsibility for NPCing for that prompt falls on the players, I'll provide enough information and leeway for you to throw Peacekeepers and civilians at your characters to your heart's delight.

The IC post should be going up on the 22nd or 23rd.

District 13 Mission 7 Sign Ups

War rages on, but there are still side-missions to be run, small strikes against the Capitol that are sure to aide the rebellion's fight.

A message will be sent to the communicators from Evangeline Webb: 'This is volunteer only. Please assemble in the meeting room for briefing if you are willing to aide in a small stealth mission. Those injured or currently being held for crimes against the rebellion need not apply.'

--

If you'd like your character to participate in the upcoming mission, please sign them up below. As this is meant to be a small mission limited to one or two teams, the teams might end up being rolled to be as fair as possible.

As stated in the message, if your character had 'Injury' next to their name in the last breakout or was captured by thirteen from Capitol forces, they won't be allowed on this mission. Sign-ups close at 12am on the 9th, if you have any questions, ask in the section below!

District 13 Mission 5: Under the Ashes

Once again, a notice is sent out to gather in a briefing room. It seems your resounding success in the last mission has earned some brownie points because there's one major change to be found here: information. For once, teams won't be flying blind in this mission. It seems the goal of the mission is far too important to wait till last minute to convey. A quick glance at the files spread on the table and mission runners will see their destination.

Recon on District 3.

Other notes mention that the main point of checking out the firebombed district is information. There's important information 13 is hoping survived the attack and it's your job to collect it. It should be easy, it's a dead district, no one to sneak past, but there will be plenty of ruble and destruction to sift through.

Now who's willing to get their hands dirty?

--

This mission will have two phases to it. The first is simple info gathering. There will be three goals that need to be achieved in regards to this information and three locations to search for it. Teams won't matter and will be decided later.

The second part of this mission is less complicated; someone didn't get their information right (or perhaps it was withheld) but the mission runners will be in District 3 at the same time a Peacekeeper patrol is passing through. The result is a shoot out. Players will be outnumbered and there is no way to win this fight, although it's certainly possible to put a dent in it. The goal will be to pull back and make it to the hovercraft in one piece, feel free to use the section below to plot out whatever interactions you might want. As long as the info was gathered and everyone makes it back on the hovercraft alive, it will be a mission success.

Note: Light character injuries are welcome, be advised that serious injuries could leave characters out of missions all the way into endgame, so plot wisely!

Sign ups will close 11:59pm EST on Thursday the 17th!

DISTRICT 13 MISSION 4: COMMUNICATION IS KEY + A NOTE

The time has come to see if all that team training and dream training has paid off: pack your bags, kids, it's time for a field trip.

It's no secret a new mission is to be run, they never are, the surprise comes with the announcement that you will be running it this time. That's right, no dream serums, no cozy fake environments, it's time to head out into the world and see if you're really as capable as you all claim to be. It's time to see if you really will make a difference in this war.

You're all called into a briefing room and told the mission will be led by 13's Bucky Barnes, but they need volunteers for the rest of the positions in the mission. They need people who are good with electronics, people who are good at being stealthy and breaking in and sneaking in, people who are willing to put their lives on the line an extra step by providing a distraction and those who are willing to stay back in relative safety and see to it that one of the most important parts of this mission is seen through to the end. Rest assured, all you fight-happy people, there'll be plenty of action for all.

There's no room for failure and should someone get hurt and be unable to keep up, it's likely they'll be left behind. With that in mind, it's time to sign up.

--

Sign ups end once the mission goes up on Saturday 22nd at around 1pm EST.

We'd also like to remind everyone that 13's info has been updated and includes new job opportunities for your character to play with as well as a new schedule.

The Tribute Parade & Caesar Flickerman Show!

For the first time, you're all about to get a taste of what the true Hunger Games are like. Since the quell began, there have been a lot of new and interesting events and showings to match that of the Capitol's new guests. But now, for the fifteenth arena of the seventy fifth quater quell, it's time to call back to the roots of the Games to remind our Tributes and us all what these Games really mean.

Drop & App Changes + Plot Volunteers Needed

With the end of the arenas, drops will be working in a new system. Henceforth, all drops unless otherwise specified will be considered casualties of war OR victim to the offworld sickness.

If your character is an offworlder and you do not specify at the time of drop, the result will be whatever is closest to the time of drop. For example, if there is an illness wave after the time of drop, they will die from that, but if there is a set battle or RNG event at the time of drop, they will pass from that instead.

If your character is not an offworlder but the drop does not specify their end result they will be assumed victims of war.

If neither of these results work, you must speak to mods beforehand. If you wish for your dropped offworld character to be victim of offworld sickness before war time, you may note so. As was established in the Thicker Than Blood plot, all dead offworlders return home void of memory. Panem natives will simply be dead.

The second thing we'd like to address today is that we are altering the rule that only three Tributes may be apped. With war time nearing and only one arena left, we are allowing more Tributes to be apped in, pending mod approval of your current activity. Should we reach our Tribute cap, mods reserve the right to temporarily rescind this rule (though it will not mean that anyone already with more than three Tributes will have to drop a Tribute).

Thirdly, with the final arena, buyouts will be permitted at the Cornucopia. After the arena we will likely be imposing some further changes so that points can be put towards something other than the arena. Stay tuned for that.

Please comment below to show you understand this.

And finally, we come to you all today with a special request. Read more... )
