Player Plot Post!

PLAYER PLOT POST

Sometimes we want to plot with our fellow players, but are either too shy to approach them, or we just don't get the chance. This is a place to brainstorm, bounce off ideas, and do anything you'd like, plot wise. Its sole purpose is to foster connection between players. These will be posted once a round. So make a friend! Or an enemy!

As with the HMD, please make sure if you use this post you use it both ways and reply to at least 3 other people.

Character: District and/or job: Basic personality: What has happened to them recently, in and out of the arena, and what can they normally be found doing in the arena: Give a brief summary of what they have been doing. Remember, especially in the arena, everyone would know what they had done. Upcoming plots, wanted CR or other things to note about this character: Anything that might grab someone, or they can get involved with, or pretty much anything that could spark CR that didn't fall into the above.

Character: Steve Rogers
District and/or job: District 9 Tribute
Basic personality: Good man who just wants to do the right thing. Honest, unintentionally charming, loyal ally and friend, he'll stand up to any bully he meets, protect you at his expense, and won't back down from his morals.

What has happened to them recently, in and out of the arena, and what can they normally be found doing in the arena: The most notable thing for Steve recently is his speech at the start of Arena 11 that got all the people who dropped up to that point exploded (it can be found here.). But before the arena, he was caught by the Capitol during the jailbreak and has his right cheek branded (still, even post arena).

During Arena 11, Steve kept to himself, but two of the more noteworthy happenings were how he killed Brainy to save MCUBucky and then turned off the alarm (car crash) which blinded, deafened, and concussed him, leading him to get caught by a bear trap and bleed to death.

Since dying, Steve was able to help citizens during the blackout, get kissed by Tony and Thor, and keep a low profile. A lot of people he cared about died and weren't brought back from the arena and friends brought into the game, he's assuming it's a prolonged punishment for speaking out.

Upcoming plots, wanted CR or other things to note about this character: I plan to get Steve to be an active part of the rebellion, as well as possibly taking more of a lead role. Really open to brainstorming and coming up with future plot ideas for the rebellion with people. I would love for him to get more CR and further develop CR to help this along.

One plot coming along is Steve and Tony flirting with a fake relationship to give them opportunities to work on the rebellion and Tony access to tools Steve is hiding. So, I'm open for that to be something to come up or be approached.

I would love for Steve to make some friends. It's not easy for him to do that, so I would love to develop CR and make him more invested in the people around him beyond a sense of what's right and duty. Also, I'm open to negative CR, but I like to talk it through, so anyone willing to really talk it out with me and such, I would be down with it.

There will be an open post for Steve very soon (working on it now), so feel free to keep an eye out for it and tag it!

So, I know we keep threatening it, but we really need to find a way to get these two talking again. I've actually been talking to reiko and one way it could be spun (and then set up) is that Jet probably felt like a giant dumbass about the way he and Steve met and has been somewhat actively avoiding him. This could easily be fixed by accidentally running into each other.

Also Jet might want to talk to Steve about Bucky because he knows something's wrong/something happened, but he's not sure if he should ask or if that would just frustrate Bucky which isn't what he wants, so Steve's the logical next person to go to. How does this sound?

I know! This is such a CR I want and I somehow keep dropping the ball on it. And yeah, this makes sense, since Steve also doesn't have a lot of reason to actively seek out Jet, so it's a nice balance of avoiding and not looking, then running into each other.

That sounds great. Steve wouldn't probably give all the details, but he knows it's something that can't be ignored either, so if Jet brought it up, Steve would talk with him about Bucky. Aka: I'm super down for this!

Excellent! Is there a time you'd like to do this? It could just be a log one of us throws up, I'm open to whatever!

And that totally makes sense, Jet would likely get it's kind of a private thing.

Would you be interested in some public tension between Steve and Lyle? Lyle wouldn't attack him or anything, but he would give him crap for "getting my friend killed because of your stupid speech" as part of his cover. In public, so as many people could see/hear as possible ;)

I would be very interested in that! Steve also killed Brainy, so maybe that could come into it too? Unless because he came back it would be less of a big deal for Lyle?

Steve seems to be developing a bad habit of getting the people Lyle likes dead.

It's less of a big deal because Brainy came back, yes, but Lyle is certainly more than happy to add that to the Epic Grudge of Epicness.

(He's hoping and praying that they'll be able to resurrect everyone who died in any Arena when they take over the Capitol. If not, his team is probably going to raze the Capitol to the ground and salt the earth.)

Excellent. Sounds great. Steve would probably take a lot of the verbal battery in stride.

(Steve is really under the belief there has to be since so many people come back with memories. That and he can't stand the idea that the people he loves are lost and gone for good.)

How about threats against his friends? Because Lyle's definitely going to be making eye-for-an-eye threats.

(Yes good. Hold that light of hope aloft, Steve.)

I definitely want more Steve and Sam, of course!

At some point I'd like Sam to get involved in the rebellion somehow, would Steve be open to letting Sam in on that?

Yep! Steve will totally fill Sam in on things, I also plan to have Steve vouch for Sam and try to get the initiate thread on the Lonestar post opened up to him.

And of course all the Steve and Sam things! Tags have been slow but I'll be replying to you today.

I would lohohohoooooove a thread between these guys especially considering they are basically the two big alpha masculine types of d9!! Would you be up for something maybe set during the downtime between the arenas? Gannicus still wants to have words about that lil speech Cap made at the start of arena 11.......

I would love this as well! This is a CR that needs exploring for sure. And yeah that works perfectly for me. Ah yes, excellent, have words with him over that. He's expecting people to be less than thrilled with him because of the speech.

Yyyyyeah Gannicus will pretty much have the classic 'killing innocent people with your loud opinions' kind of complaint, because his best buddy Spartacus gave a lot of heroic speeches and Gannicus kind of gave him that grief too :'| YOU REMIND HIM OF SPARTACUS, STEVE, that might be a bad thing.

Aang has revealed his age and alluded to the story of the iceberg on the Lonestar post, so he and Steve can trade 'I was frozen today' stories. Aang needs more friends, especially friends with hair to play with and who understand feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.

And I want to do more things with Bruce and Steve, but they're both the types to keep people at arm's length a lot of the time. Do you have any ideas?

Lol timing, I commented I think a little after you posted this! Probably won't share too much story wise on the network (he doesn't trust Lonestar very much), so they definitely need to hang out and become friends. Steve could use a friend who gets how heavy a burden the world can be.

Yes, I want this too, but yeah they kind of need a push to stop doing that. Hm. Well, Steve is going to get Bruce and in with the rebellion (hopefully)? idk if that'd help much. Whine about Tony? Although Tony is in a better place than he was before this last arena. I'm open to ideas if you have any.
