PLAYER PLOT POST

Sometimes we want to plot with our fellow players, but are either too shy to approach them, or we just don't get the chance. This is a place to brainstorm, bounce off ideas, and do anything you'd like, plot wise. Its sole purpose is to foster connection between players. These will be posted once a round. So make a friend! Or an enemy!

As with the HMD, please make sure if you use this post you use it both ways and reply to at least 3 other people.

Character: Carlos
District and/or job: District 10 Tribute
Basic personality: B-movie caricature of a scientist; gorgeous, awkward, brave, obsessed with science
What has happened to them recently, in and out of the arena, and what can they normally be found doing in the arena: That expose aired, giving everyone a good idea of what the Capitol now thinks Carlos is. He's also been seen spending a lot of time socially with Cecil Palmer, but insists they're not dating. In the Arena, he's mostly been running from Gamemaker traps and being rescued by anyone and everyone (although he blinded Kevin) and will be dying within a few days by falling down a flight of stairs.
Upcoming plots, wanted CR or other things to note about this character: Carlos will be involved in that sickness plot as soon as he's back in the Capitol! He'll also be looking to show that he's settling into the Capitol, completely cooperative, and act as though he's going native when in fact he has connections with both the Initiate and Brainiac's subversive rebel activities. He'll be passing tech for Brainy and looking for opportunities to do more municipally-approved science.

I would love for Carlos to have negative CR, especially from people who would be disgusted by how willing he is to cooperate with the Capitol. I'm also super down for threading with sick Capitol characters so that Carlos can run all kinds of weird, complicated tests the purpose of which he can't even begin to explain. I also wouldn't mind people being starstruck by how ridiculously attractive he is, especially since when he comes back from the Arena, his hair will once more be perfect.

While Nasir will admire Carlos's perfect hair, knowing more than a thing or two about the importance of keeping hair full and luxurious even in the thick of battle, he will totally hate Carlos for being cooperative with the Capitol. So while he would have liked to extend an invitation to Team Hair, he'll have to hate him.

Which is my way of saying I'd love negative CR with these two, bonus points if they eventually get in on the rebellion together and it turns into positive CR over the long run.

Oooh I like the sound of this character arc. I'm thrilled about the idea of Carlos managing to convince people he's pro-Capitol, and then turning out to be actually trustworthy the whole time. Yes please!

And let's be real, Carlos isn't nearly beefcake enough to get into Team Hair anyway

Hey! I think Carlos and Sigma could make an interesting combination (Sorry I'm going slow with the log, I've had some RL problems lately) outside of the Arena. Sigma is also rebellious (and father figure to the Initiate) but wanting to work with the Capitol. Perhaps outside of the Arena, these two mad scientists could become friends?

Stephen Reagan | Capitol OC

Character: Stephen Reagan
District and/or job: District 6 Escort
Basic personality: Easygoing, easy-to-get-along-with social butterfly. Horrendously sheltered, horribly naive, well-meaning but wrong about a lot of things. He's being weaned off of the Capitol kool-aid.
What has happened to them recently, in and out of the arena, and what can they normally be found doing in the arena: He's throwing watch parties, worrying about things he's discovered about the Capitol, and trying very very hard to pretend everything is still fine. Stephen is looking for ways to make bidding easier on his Tributes, and is going on a date with Natasha. Other than that, he's been keeping pretty quiet: all the attention lately has been on the Arena.
Upcoming plots, wanted CR or other things to note about this character: STEPHEN IS SITTING ON PLOT INFORMATION. He did some digging when the Tributes' families disappeared and found out some interesting things that rebel elements might be able to use. If someone gets close to him and earns his trust, he'll confide in them.

Also, I want people to keep making him feel horribly uncomfortable about his life and make him realize that the Capitol's abuse of power isn't limited to a few corrupt officials that can easily be replaced. Stephen is meant to go full rebellion, and anyone willing to push him in that direction would be a+!

....casual flings are always good, too. Stephen will sleep with pretty much anyone if they're a) attractive and b) totally a terrible idea to sleep with. He doesn't do it on purpose; it just happens.

Oh, please do! That's okay, Stephen is terrible at realizing when he's being manipulated. Just ask his older brother. I'd love to see Initiate try to play nice with this guy.

I'd love to toss Sabriel at him- she spoke to Lonestar about trying to get closer to Capitol people for info, and while she isn't exactly part of the rebellion yet... she quietly despises the Capitol.
