a few things that have come up that people were unclear on!

Communication devices

The communication devices are hologram based. If you have read Mockingjay, they are non-military, non-as cool version of the thing Boggs has. They go on your wrist and have a little "Help me Obi Wan Kenobi" hologram that comes up. They mainly just have communication capabilities and basic info (maps, weather, etc)

If you want to do a text/anonymous/voice post, it is possible, just cover/point away the image capturing part. For text posts, you'd have to physical write out notes (As a character. You are welcome to if you want to as a player, but also "This is hand written" is fine) Anonymity is more controlled then to every one, except the Capitol. 

To keep something anonymous from the Capitol would require putting up physical messages while hiding your identity. 

More advanced computers can be bought. They are liker modern tablets had a baby with Jarvis from Ironman. No where near that powerful for the layman, but in that vein.

Language and not being overheard

The Capitol only knows big languages. Think what you might possibly find in a High School-Latin, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Mandarin, Russian, etc. However, if you are in your room teaching a language, they can record that and learn from it.

If you want privacy to learn a language to speak in code, or just to speak about more sensitive things more freely, anywhere outside and busy is safe. Inside and busy as long as you aren't in the training complex is moderately safe (As long as you aren't loud and obnoxious you should be fine, but if you are like "Why don't we all just stab Ceaser!?" Someone might notice.) and inside the Speakeasy is fine recording wise, but it is an open establishment, so very private conversations should request a private area.

Dying

You can voluntarily kill your character anytime! Also characters will ALWAYS return to the Capitol EXACTLY as they arrived here the first time. If they were hungry when they were first pulled, they're hungry when they come back from the arena. 

If the winner is too badly damaged, the same it true of them. It they are repairable, it's not. 

Money

We have decided, to make it easier to differentiate between OOC credits earned for activity and IC money earned for kills, to call the IC money As or Assi, a play on ancient Rome's money. 

When you kill people in the arena you get 100 assi. This would be around $500. If you kill enough people you could live comfortably by The Capitol's standard without going into debt. The Capitol does not consider having food, shelter, and clothes provided as comfortable.  This may change as they figure out this plan isn't working.

Okay my darlings. I am going to need to take a break from the Baron's voice for a little while. I think in order to accomplish this I'm going to say that he was so inspired by the yacht party that he purchased one for himself and is now taking a luxury vacation.

This means that I will be dropping him from the game with the plan of re-apping him once I'm ready to take up his voice again. Hopefully I'll only be taking a break from him for a couple months and he'll be able to return soon enough to creep you all out again!

Hi, Katy here. Player of Pruna bringing in a second character who couldn't be any more different to my first if he tried. This is Shion from No. 6, he comes from a dystopian city so will feel quite at home here (spoilers he wont). He had white hair, black-purple eyes and a red spiral scar that is visible on his face, hands and neck because of a parasitic bee.

He is in district 4 (which is brilliant because he can't swim) and is scored at 3 (can anyone say cannon fodder?). His permission thread is here.

hi, guys! my name is lenz and i'm bringing you a bratty twenty year old trainee necromancer. jay is an oc, from a high-magic fantasy world and is ... mostly human. by the standards of his world, he's firmly in the human category, though recent spirit ancestry means he has extra eyes (just eye spots that actually can't do more than react to presence/absence of light) and weird-looking ears (they move). he's also a bit more on the blue side than normal humans. blue is the default spirit colour where he comes from.

jay is a huge brat. he's spent the last handful of years being doted on, dominated by and pretty much held prisoner by his necromancy teacher and he has definitely missed out on key socialisation of the "how to make friends" variety. he will be an incessant jerk. he does "do" nice.

he's also a terrible fucking peacock and craves attention, so uh. expect melodrama from him. he is also super fucking flamboyant and loud and despite being five foot five and a hundred and twenty pounds, always manages to take up all the space. (as an aside! dude's a trans man. he's kind of androgynous looking and yes, feel free to have your character mistake him for a girl! he'll be offended. i won't be.)

Hello lovely people! My name is Fritz (or Fate), and I am bringing in teen disaster murder machine, young Grand Highblood, an aged down version of homestuck's beloved psychopathic alien warlord clown-priest. Like Volanz, Psiioniic, Signless, and Karkat, GH hails from Alternia and is, also, a troll. Though he is technically the Grand Highblood in canon, from the point I am pulling him from, he has not managed to snag this title yet, and so will be called The Initiate Fraysong (and by people who know him really well and want to infuriate him, Kurloz Makara ).

Unlike the other trolls here, who are all way low or off their planet's blood-colour caste system, GH ranks up in third highest. He is also a member of a powerful religious cult based on juggalo subculture called the Cult of The Mirthful Messiahs (Yes, that's right; Juggalos). Most refer to members of this cult as Subjugglators. In his canon, he grows about to become a ruthless warlord, the second most powerful troll in their empire, under the empress, and he spends his many hundreds of years alive ruining and ending the lives of heretics, aliens, dissenters, and people who tell bad jokes. As I am pulling him from before he truly enters adulthood, he has not yet had the chance to become this person. He has however, still killed many a troll and creature in his young life because he decided moving from his extremely unsafe home was not in his best interest.

He tends toward the unpredictable. Although he is prone to distrust or rage, he is, to most people's surprise capable of kindness and is a good ally to have if only because not being an ally will lead to much more unfortunate end. He speaks in a really consulted and confusing manner so if anyone has trouble understanding something he's said at any time please feel free to contact me for translation. (He is also incredibly foul mouthed)

Hi there! I'm Amy and I'm bringing you my first character, Lady Oscar François de Jarjayes from the absolutely amazing series Rose of Versaille which is totally getting a USA DVD release THIS YEAR and you all should buy it and watch it because yes. It is that awesome.

For her PB I'm using Hikaru Asami from the 2006 musical version because I love Komu I figured why not? And a dear friend made me this icon set ages ago and I've not really used them yet.

She'll be representing District 8, which matches her gamemaker score of 8 ;)
