So today was spent being modly, and things you guys should know. This has a lot of little bits of info:
--THE BIGGEST!
The master navigation post! Linked at the top of the Gamemaker journal, and in the userinfo for ALL the communities. Hopefully this will be much more useful for finding what you need, and we would love to hear feedback on it.
Things are ordered vaguely in importance to someone new, so you all will probably find the most useful sections towards the middle/bottom.
--We are setting up an NPC page for some mod NPCs that have and haven't been introduced, but also to make sure every district has at least 1 mentor, escort and stylist with a bare bones personality they can reference in prose. All of these characters will be adoptable and/or replaceable,
however this is going to take a bit to set up, because it involved making around 40+ npcs.
SO I wanted to mention, for those who are new, what is up with some noticeable missing NPCS, mainly Katniss, Peeta and Finnick. Currently these three are in "Special training" with the Capitol. Finnick vanished last, and rumors are running rampant that Katniss is knocked up.
This was the last time anyone saw any of them.--So one of the plots mentioned was a way for the Capitol citizens to react to the games. We want to keep that activity centered in the Capitol, because the exhibition and spectacle of the games is a big part of what the Capitol is about.
But we wanted to know if there was anyway to encourage it? We had sorted petered off on doing viewing parties, because they seemed to be ending up repetitive, but we also have more players now, so we could have more of those? Or we are open to any other suggestions. Keep in mind there would be TVs everywhere, always. Especially in the Tribute Training Center, because they know it undermines morale.
--Speaking of morale and things being everywhere, someone was asking where people could speak and not be over heard/seen:
Any place loud is generally gonna be safe, especially if it's outside of the Tribute Training Center.
However, almost nowhere is safe, visually. The Capitol has cameras everywhere, especially above ground, and only those with pretty intimate knowledge (such as avoxes and peacekeepers) could even hope to avoid them.
--Also, Tributes will still be rewarded 100 in in character funds (not related to the OOC credit system) for every kill they rack up, to be credited to their credit cards.
In addition, the Capitol will be starting to heavily favor people who play along and behave in other ways. Money, special privileges, think of it as VIP access to the Murder Club. They can't pin down the rebellion, but they are gonna fight them anyway.
-In addition just general clean up you guys know about. Adding 2 weeks limits, getting AU info up, that sort of thing.
Also ty to everyone who's helped and special thanks to momo who proof read shit for me.
