HOW'S MY DRIVING?

This is not a love meme, however, that also doesn't mean it is a hate meme. Someone's driving can be good, feel free to say as much! Just try to give them an idea on how.

Also please make sure if you are asking for crit you are also giving it. If everyone only posts for themselves, no one will get any feedback. You don't need to comment to everyone, but please be sure if you comment to reply to at least 3 other people. We'll be keeping an eye on this post to make sure everyone's commenting around.

I really love reading any of Eponine's threads, and I hope that I can thread with her sometime soon with either Peeta or Cindy. Don't care which, I just think you have such a good grasp on her character, and any headcanon just. Fits perfectly, too. She's fun to read.

I also like Calico as a character. I don't actually know too much about her to tell if she's been ooc or ic lately, but I loved her conversations with Peeta, and he feels like he's found a friend in her, which is a good thing for him to have. So, yes, you're playing really well!

Thank you for the compliments for Eponine. I worry about her, I do. Her voice never seems quite right - I've been playing her for so long, I always feel that her voice is getting further and further away from the Brick. And when I read like, Marius and Enjolras, and their prose is so learned and flowery - well, Eponine just isn't. But I think that's ok - she's a much plainer character than either Marius or Enjy. What I'm trying to say is, thank you for the reassurance.
She's in the arena right now - but I am definitely up for more CR - with either/both! I dunno Cindy, but I love how you write Peeta! You've actually made me like him more than I like him in the book!

As for Cal - well, in her app, I said that she tries to be happy and slap a smile on her face - and generally knows not to shout off about the Capitol so that her parents aren't hurt. Obviously, I hadn't anticipated this plot, or even her close friendship with Eva when I wrote the app, and didn't acknowledge how much finding out her friend is a traitor would affect Cal. She's terrified because she's confided a lot in Eva these last 13 years - and told Eva about the rebellion whispers she had heard as a child in District 8 as a kid - which is in her app. If Eva's a mole, what's to stop her telling the Capitol everything and what is to stop them from executing Cal? So she's terrified and mouthing off about Eva and trying to show that she is not like Eva to her tributes, and she's drinking heavily, which lowers her control and makes her more mouthy - again characteristics in her app - and she's becoming reckless - a trait she showed in her arena when she hunted the bear. Her reaction is against Eva rather than the Capitol itself. The Capitol and Ariadne are basically incidental to her reaction.

I dunno. I understand where the criticism is coming from, and I accept that she is not acting, right now, as I thought she would. But I wrote the app in a 'normal' time in the Capitol - and this is quite extraordinary. Her world is crumbling around her and she has no idea what to do. And so I think that her actions are justified. It IS there in her app - just, perhaps, not spelled out very clearly, which is more a fault of my app writing than anything. I dunno. She'll be going back to sequins and sticky gems soon.

I'm glad you enjoy her though, and she will definitely be needing a friend - especially with Eva out of the picture. So expect one clingy, bouncy, pretending-to-be-happy traumatised mentor seeking Peeta out soon!

I definitely understand the concern with Eponine (you're the one who played her at SP, right? Or was that someone else?), but I think you're doing a good job. Especially with an Enjolras and Marius here, because yeah, you're right, she's not a flowery prose character. She feels very raw when I read her stuff? And that's what she is, she's a person, not an ideal, if that makes sense. I don't know, I just think you do a very good job with her, and I would love to get CR with either of my people with her! Cindy would understand her really well, actually... so would Peeta, but I'm really happy to hear that I've made you like him. I try hard, making sure he's not just the way he is when he's around Katniss, like in the books, since he's also a person, not just an ideal.

I am very okay with a clingy Calico xD Like I said, I can't crit too much with her because I don't know how things go and stuff, I just know I've enjoyed my threads with her. And I'm sorry for talking so much, too!

Yeah, I played her at SP - who did you play? Or am I being an eejit and forgetting someone really obvious?
I've trawled her through quite a few games now;I've been playing her for about 5 years and I dunno. After a while, her voice starts to kinda get - squished, if you know what I mean?

Yes, your Peeta is VERY likeable! It's funny - I love the premise of the 'Hunger Games' - the world - but I find it hard to like the characters - especially Katniss, but Prim and Peeta too. But all three of you do a good job here to make them, not only playable but a JOY to play with!

Being an eejit, I'm afraid xD I played Raul Creed, Mr. Gold, Dr. Tenma, Tim Drake... a bunch of people! But yeah, it can be worrying once you've played someone for so long. I do think you're doing a pretty good job, though.

We're definitely doing it right then! I'm glad that you like him. I love the series, the premise, but I know I was iffy with some of the characters when I first started. Katniss in particular, but... we've got some good players, here, it makes it a lot more fun.
