Welcome to the first round of our games HMD. May the odds be ever in your favor.

If you would like to participate (and we encourage it!) leave your characters journals and, if you have any specific concerns for them, feel free to ask about them.

Anon is enabled, don't be an asshat. Also please make sure if you are asking for crit you are also giving it. If everyone only posts for themselves, no one will get any feedback. You don't need to comment to everyone, but if we consistently see people asking for and not giving we'll step in.

1. Voice - does it sound like [Character's name]? Can you hear his/her voice when I play? How can I make him/her sound more accurate?
2. Characterization - Does he/she act like [Character's name]? Has he/she done anything unusual that doesn't seem [Character's name]-like? What do you feel was the more 'IC action or thought'? Why? Examples and discussion are incredibly encouraged - even in anon.
3. Motivations - Do I have his/her priorities straight? What should be important to him/her that I'm not covering?
4. Canon - Have I gotten some game facts wrong? Is [Character's name] strong enough? Am I making him/her TOO strong? Is there an interpretation or headcanon of [Character's name] you think is out of place? In what way would it be more appropriate to [Character's name]'s character.
5. Technical - How's my grammar?
6. Storytelling - Do I make things interesting for you as an RPer? Do I put enough thought into posts? How are the plots [Character's name] is involved in? How can I make them more interesting for you? How can I make your character feel important when we play? How can I help your character play out his/her plots? How can I help your character have their time in the spotlight? Am I giving you enough to respond to with each post? Have I ever made a post that just 'turned you off'? Why?
7. Player Etiquette - Am I breaking any rules? Making inappropriate comments? Am I making you feel welcome? Am I easy or hard to plot and or work with? Am I easy to approach? Am I god-moding? Are you having a positive experience overall? Am I tagging enough outside of my fandom?

I think you guys are doing a great job here. It's a really fine divide in this kind of setting, for mods, between too much and too little. You guys seem to have it really balanced atm. when players need gamemakers for something; it's thought out and planned easily and with little fuss, the rules are put down neatly. I really like the deathroll idea too! instead of leaving it up to a playerbase they're just. put to it. (awesome in making separate options for this too. can't wait to see how they'll play out in round 2)

I don't know what else to say immediately. I'm really enjoying myself...??!?

I feel like you guys are off to a really great start and that there is plenty of room for improvement! I've enjoyed the premise and the mechanics but occasionally I'll admit that I feel confused about using characters as NPCs until someone apps them but it's just one of those things you have to have tried it to get used to it.

I also feel like... it would be a good thing to make sure your players understand the canon in which they are playing - even minor details about characters! While this is easily done with Canon specific characters, someone apping in using another canon might not be as familiar as you would hope - just something to add to the apps I guess like a "How familiar are you with the canon" type deal. It kind of sucks for me and I'm sure other THG players to have to explain details over and over, you know? But that can also be because of the character not being familiar with the place itself - I don't know just something I've noticed with people I've tagged with.

I'm still getting used to the place and I am extremely thankful how lax you guys have been considering how chaotic things have been in my RL. I am honored to be your Katniss and I hope to do her justice and to be 100 percent more active in the future. Other than that the pacing of the game is really great. I'm curious to see what it's like during Arena time.

I'm excited to see the new arena start up and to learn how all of that works.

Everything is so well thought out and you're obviously putting a lot of effort into this (from your quickness in answering questions to staying on top of editing the graphics on the district lists) and that is so appreciated. I haven't had the chance to play with all your characters, but I really like what you've done with Lottie in particular. I can really hear her voice in your tags, and she's just so ill-suited to the setting, but works so well. If that makes sense.

Elias: Literally just starting to play against him, but having read some of your other threads you really seem to have a great voice with him. Tough, but caring; mellow, yet passionate. Everything a tribute could hope for from their mentor. ;)

As I have only played against Finnick so far, I can really only reply in regards to him, but I love your Finnick so much. You give him a lot of depth, and make him both sweet and protective, cool and classy, and I really enjoy your head cannon. So much so, I can't lie to you... I've kind of adopted it as my own. /steals.

I love playing with you. Your post are well thought out and fun to read/play off of. I also like how easily relationships form paying off you. Like...I had no want to pick up Sammy until playing her off Tate. An d I love the CR Finnick and Elias have too.

Your Annie is wonderful <3 She and Katniss' interaction, I feel, has been given a bit more depth than the books because we only get to see Katniss' point of view on Annie and I like that I get to see Annie's view on Katniss. I am very happy with how you've been playing her!! She's sweet and shy and closed off but at the same time she's warm and loving and I don't know how you balance the open and the closedness so well I can't imagine it is easy. You're doing a great job with her! :)

Also... code monkey huh? I'll have to pick your brain some time I'm trying to make a custom layout for one of my other characters for another game and I'm not sure how to go about it.

With that said, I really really enjoy your Lily. I... suck and don't actually know DOGS canon at all, but THAT DOESN'T MATTER. Because I find Lily very interesting and adorable and want to cuddle her 95% of the time, and that other 5% of the time I am like WHOA DAMN. Which... I feel, from what I can tell, is spot on. :3

Basically what I am saying is I love you and I am glad you are here. And... we should probably actually in-game interact someday! Ohohohoh
