Arena 06 Death Post - Week Two

INSIDE THE ARENA.

Its quieter than normal, but maybe that is a good thing. A scuffle here or there. New allies made, new enemies met. There are more tributes inside this arena than there have ever been, and tension is high as the entire world seems to be waiting for the worse to happen. So many people. So few bodies in comparison.

It's midday when a single canon fires and when night falls, the anthem plays and the fireworks above the castle burst into greens and blues. This is the only face displayed in the sky:

The perfect springtime sky does not return to normal right away. The seal of the Capitol lingers and soon a voice can be heard across every inch of the arena. To some, the voice of Claudius Templesmith may be familiar. To others, maybe a disembodied voice will take some getting used to.

"Tributes. There will soon be a feast in Fantasyland."

Short and sweet, you either know what this means or you don't. Either way, will curiosity get the better of you?

WEEKLY DEATH ROLLS - WEEK TWO.

The following tributes have been randomly selected, and will die within the next few days of the arena. Players are encouraged to use this post to plot out deaths however they like!

Atticus Bell of District 1
Dr. Sigma Klim of District 10 - bought out
Éponine Thénardier of District 3
Gaius of District 9
Lara Croft of District 6 - bought out
Merlin of District 5 - bought out
Rapunzel of District 7 - bought out

Tohru Adachi of District 1
Adel-Makim-Zalur of District4
Alex Rider of District 4

Because our cast has grown so much, the list of active tributes is going to be given it's own post each week. Because it's a long list. You can find it over here.

You may only respond to this thread once a week. And each week, the number of weapons available and the chances of finding them will vary. Good luck to all of you.

CAPITOL NEWS.
Sudden snow storms made quite the mess of a few outdoor parties for those citizens who got a little carried away with their spring fever. Almost 10 inches over night! But as is typical for a Rocky Mountain springtime, the sun is back and the snow is gone barely 24 hours later.

Jewelry stores are seeing a boom in diamond and precious gem tiaras. And fur-lined capes are all the rage these days, to knock of that mountain-air chill.

OUT OF CHARACTER & MOD NOTES.

Did we really say FANTASYLAND FEAST!? Yes. We did. No, you won't know what will happen to you or what you may get until it happens.

If your character is interested in attending this feast, all you have to do is reply to the appropriate thread below, before midnight tomorrow night (Monday at 11:59 P.M. MST and see what happens!

You can expect to see the official post for the feast to go up sometime on Wednesday. Other than that, hope everyone is having a wonderful time in Disneyland!

Should post it here but yes - I'd be down with R offing Alex if he doesn't get bought out or there's other plans.

Death-by-zombie would probably be the most ironic of ironic things to happen to Alex. I haven't seen Warm Bodies though so I've a few questions! I peaked at your app so I saw that you mentioned R is more of a frontal attack than a sneak attack sort of guy, but how fast is he and how strong is he compared to a live human? While Alex isn't stronger than an average athletic boy his age that is physically active (he does soccer, biking, rowing, karate, so his overall body strength is relatively even), he has good reflexes and a lot of experience.

The good thing about him getting taken out in the first death roll is that he won't have necessarily had much time to learn to compensate for his blind spot. So if him and R are at least relatively matched physically, R could definitely stand a chance if he blitzed Alex.

On the other hand, Alex getting bitten and dying a slow painful death is also something I'd be interested in. How does the whole biting/scratching thing work in Warm Bodies and how does it work here in the game? Would the infection just kill him or would Alex get turned as well?

I figured R would have the best chances if he appeared like a movie cliche - Alex could round a corner and BAM suddenly a zombie already there. R can be somewhat faster at close range and he's strong enough to lift relatively heavy objects (but he is also slower at chases and is shown running later only when he's trying to protect Julie). He works a lot like a Romero zombie.

The biting/infection works like this:
Stage 1
Between three and six hours
Headache, fever, chills, flu-like symptoms.

Stage 2
Between six and twelve hours
Slow pulse, shallow breathing, accompanied with nausea, constant vomiting and in some cases, insanity or progressive loss of intelligence.

Stage 3
After twelve hours
The skin is mottled and covered with open sores.

Stage 4 [Not shown]
Presumably death and reanimation.

For those R bites and/or kills without eating the brain, they'd revive as a zombie which could count more as muttations and render them ineligible to win that Arena. The character score would drop down to the 1-3 range for the rest of the arena so you'd end up in more rolls. Death by infection and re-animation to a zombie is up to you :3a
