The Tribute Parade & Caesar Flickerman Show!

For the first time, you're all about to get a taste of what the true Hunger Games are like. Since the quell began, there have been a lot of new and interesting events and showings to match that of the Capitol's new guests. But now, for the fifteenth arena of the seventy fifth quater quell, it's time to call back to the roots of the Games to remind our Tributes and us all what these Games really mean.

For the first time in the quell, all of you Tributes will be participating in the pre-arena chariot rides, hearing President Snow's speech, sitting down for the Caesar Flickerman show, and witnessing a very special surprise that may change how you view this next arena.

You will learn more about your Districts than you've gotten to thus far, and moreover, you will show how YOU as a Tribute, have come to represent your chosen District, as a person, the District's service, and the District's key trait and value. Key values are as follows:

1 ~ Luxury ~ Loyalty
2 ~ Masonry ~ Allegiance
3 ~ Electronics ~ Qualification
4 ~ Fishing ~ Endurance
5 ~ Power ~ Strength
6 ~ Transportation ~ Unity
7 ~ Lumber ~ Courage
8 ~ Textiles ~ Duty
9 ~ Grain ~ Commitment
10 ~ Livestock ~ Compliance
11 ~ Agriculture ~ Service
12 ~ Mining ~ Obedience

You will all ride out upon matching chariots for the Tribute Parade, Panem's anthem playing loud and fans screaming louder. This is your first chance to make a statement to sponsors. Rumors have it that there will be a later voting poll where the winning District or Districts will recieve special reward. Voting will be based of a rubric of:

-Most exemplary of District
-Best Tribute performance (putting on a good show)
-Best outfit
-Best in Parade

And of course, there will be a prize not only to the Tributes but to the District itself!

Escorts, it will be your job to make sure your Tributes are appealing to Capitol audiences You will need to help them prepare for this glorious event. Mentors, you will need to use your experience to help in ways just the same, both working to get you sponsors and give you the best chance in arena. Stylists, of course, will be responsible for the outfits made and worn.

More rumors tell of a secondary voting round where individual tributes will get a chance at receiving help from a very generous sponsor, following the Caesar Interviews.

Remember this is your chance to make a statement. It can mean the difference between life and death in the arena, and also, the difference between peace... or rebellion. All the world will be watching.

[OOC: If your characters choose to rebel, there will be consequences and ripple effects that carry through the rest of the game. Escorts, Mentors, Stylists, and other staff may be at risk of torture, avoxing, or even execution. Rescue will need to be arranged unless these consequences are fine with you. Tributes may be met with these or any number of other punishments.

On the flip side, chosing to be pro-capitol or pro-rebellion now will have lasting effects on the Game's outcome.

Choose wisely. Afterall, the Games are just games. Would you like to see what a real war is?

~~~
You are getting the chance to plan early. The final decisions post will be on August 24th at which point voting will open. The voting will close August 31st for the Chariot winners. The IC parade will not be occurring until September 13th.
If you have any questions, see here. If you are intending to do something rebellious, see here.]
Peggy is the only Mentor who's been through the whole interview/chariot race thing, so she'll be asking her fellow mentors to let her take the lead on this. Whether or not they do is up to them.
She'll call a meeting with the whole District so she can hear whether the Tributes want to stand together in the interviews, which will leave a good impression on sponsors and possibly get the District more sponsors in total (though it will cut a bit into people's abilities to stand out individually), or to stand individually, which will is higher risk/higher reward since that will get sponsors to give more to individuals but some of them might not be able to impress enough alone to get anything.
Then it is coaching time. She's discouraging any rebellious actions because she knows that ya'll really want to do it, and she will be sitting down with everyone and explaining in excruciating detail what could happen to the entire District if they push the envelope too much. She will try to take everyone and make them go through mock interviews so they can learn how they want to present themselves to the Capitol and so they can take advantage of their existing personas as much as possible.
Basically, Peggy is going to be a hard ass about this, folks, and she is ready to skip meals and stay up until the wee hours of the morning to help her Tributes, so they can all take advantage of her as a resource.
Tom's working as a Peacekeeper rn, so he'll be alright letting Peggy take the lead on this one - Tom'll probably be horning in on the Stylist's work more than anything else. He's going to make an effort to be more available to the Tributes during this time and will help run mock-interviews. He'll probably also drill the Tributes on what sort of things they can actually be legally punished for saying, probably via snide comments about how he's a 'nice' Peacekeeper so he won't pull them aside for that one, but don't make him write a report.
I won't be putting up an open for him, as I'm pretty backlogged, but I will be lending him out by request.
