Two announcements + who wants to cut a capitolite

First: I've decided to drop Aragorn. I love him, but I'm trying to cut back to something more manageable, and he has the fewest plots he's entrenched in. Maybe he'll come back later, if time permits, but I can't promise anything. He'll die this week in the Arena, and won't be revived.

Second: Stephen is going to be moved from an Escort position to a regular citizen. He's losing his job.

Here is where you come in.

Is anyone interested in their character getting in trouble? Is your character angry and hotheaded but hasn't actually seen what happens when you get on the wrong side of the Capitol yet? Do you want to roleplay your character hitting Stephen Reagan's glittery, dopey face?

Do you want to get back at Cyrus Reagan?

HIT ME UP.

The idea is that if Stephen's job puts him in danger, Cyrus will essentially strongarm him into quitting. The more danger Stephen is in, the better. It doesn't have to be a Tribute (though that or a Mentor is ideal) but it does have to be someone with a connection to the Games. There WILL be IC consequences but no one's character will be made unplayable.

If you're interested, comment to this post or hit me up on plurk.

Jason had two words for Stephen:

Linden will be freaking out. I don't think Linden would or could put Stephen directly in danger but his date was with Cyrus and I think they have kind of tense and strained CR (which I love). He also strongly disapproves of the amount of control Cyrus has had over Stephen's life lately, and there is all that Rebellion stuff going on. If Linden can be involved, even if it's on the side just getting worked up and protesting the decision, I'd like that.

Roland will be sorry to lose his storytime buddy but I totally get you on needing to free up your time. I'm glad we got to thread with them, it was great! Roland is far too cautious to attack a capitolite but I just wanted to drop in to wave goodbye at Aragorn. :D

Altair has a habit of following heralds into alleyways and beating them up for information. The brother of the Minister of District Affairs could be an acceptable target. Altair may try to lure him into a blindspot alley (he's been told about cameras) and ask questions about the treatment of the people in the Districts--with his fists. Peacekeepers should happen upon them or be summoned by an emergency bracelet or other piece of tech, before Altair tries to kill Stephen to maintain secrecy.

Will the authorities find out what Altair was asking about? I'd also like more details on IC consequences. I only know for sure that Altair will be arrested and held pending investigation.

Yes. Stephen could secretly alert authorities (or they could just show up by chance) as soon as Altair starts punching, and before any mention of killing. No permanent damage would be done to Stephen either, since Altair just wants him scared, not disoriented. A few good cuffs, maybe a shove against the wall.
