Arena Update.

The Peasants are Revolting
There's a stink in the air. It's pervasive, ignoring any barriers of stone, glass or cloth. No matter where you go you won't be able to escape it. It's the reek of rotting corpses, unwashed bodies and manure. Tribute's are going to be stuck with this stench the whole week through and there's no chance of them getting used to it. At its worst it may cause a Tribute to vomit or even faint, possibly at an inopportune time.

Like when they're next to a well for example. Certainly the smell seems more concentrated at those where there is no water inside.

Will You Accept This Rose...?
In the depths of the forest a rose bush has bloomed. There is a white rose for each Tribute, a neat little indicating tag on each one. Tributes who pick their own will have something nice to cover the smell of rot and decay. Tributes who picks the rose of another will find the thorns drawing blood, that blood summoning the wrath of the fey.

The notes have further little instructions telling Tributes to dip the rose in the bay waters at midnight. The moment a Tribute fails to follow instruction, they will fall into a terrible fever from midnight to dawn.

Running Wild
Come Friday this week, Tributes will hear a sudden rushing sound of galloping hooves. Coming out from the forest and moving out over the arena, a drove of wild horses will be making their way. If one is willing to risk being trampled, they can seek to capture one of the stallions to use and ride. These horses will be around well into week two.

Good Little Children
Children who did well (were pro-capitol) and participated in the Tribute Youth Programme will receive a gift. They will be gifted with a simple smiling stuffed cloth doll, dressed in white and marked with the Capitol insignia. Those who keep it will find the rats and other night creatures more likely to leave them alone for a week, at least until the doll falls apart.

Those who did poorly in class, were reckless and anti-capitol, will find the opposite with creatures seeking them out. These dolls will have sad faces and a note saying they can turn things around if they improve themselves first-- meaning they need only to give a speech to the Capitol, to snow, their District, their fans, anyone in thank of the gift, so long as it's pro-captiol.

Be Our Guest!
Marking the Wednesday comes a glorious feast held in the great banquet hall of the castle, food and drink beyond wildest arena fascinations. The banquet lasts until sundown when the drawbridge is pulled up, at which pointed the food is carted off. How you ask? The same way it got there in the first place! The servants! Several Avoxes dressed in grey ragged garb have been brought into the arena just for the purpose of serving your meals. They will pass the food to your seat, pour your drinks, and provide for you just as Medieval serfs would provide for their lords and ladies. Time to live the high life your Highnesses, for it will only last so long. After Wednesday, there will not be another banquet until the next week.

The only things Roland will be doing will be a) putting herbs in a torn up old shirt to tie around his face, and b) giving the roses the most dramatically 'oh hell no' look you can imagine, followed by staying the hell away from them. So he'll be around anywhere.

Powers RNG Week 2

Powers RNG are based on chance of injury. There will be an instance of the gamemakers punishing them regardless, but it may not necessarily hurt them. First try is a 20 of 100 chance of injury. Second is 40 of 100, third is 60, fourth is 80 (at which point it caps out). Second tries and on also include a chance of death that increases in percentile per usage. Be aware of what your power may cost.
