The Binding - Player plot
District 13, blissfully unaware, is in a tight spot. The true core of the rebellion and the only available allies to those in the Capitol held under Snow's thumb. Now with just one order, it may soon be in the President's power to wipe them off the map. For real this time.
While mod sanctioned, this is a personal player plot! Participation is completely optional and will require signing up to participate. However, there is much that your character can do, not all of it necessitating any particular skill, but rather, leaving option for as many characters as possible.
Characters currently in the Capitol will be getting the opportunity to break into a Capitol facility and dismantle deadly weaponry, or otherwise help those breaking in. They will be nullifying a threat against District Thirteen and thus helping the rebellion and themselves.
Those needed will include:
-Stylists and those with similar skills. Those breaking in will need disguises so they are not recognized by security cameras. They need to be both unrecognisable, and able to preform.
-Healers. Some characters may be injured in this plot. Healers will need to see to those returning with injuries and help them to hide it from Capitol's watchful eye.
-Collectors. Healers and Stylists will require materials. These must be stealthily brought to blindspots all over the Capitol.
-Hackers and Engineers. Hackers will be needed not only to get onto the network so that the IC information can be spread (You will be contacted OOCly if you think your character would/could do this.) but also for media distractions, and overriding base passwords. Engineers will be needed to dismantle the weaponry they discover there.
-Fighters. Self explanatory. Fighters will be needed to get past peacekeepers and other security measures. They must be able to do so unarmed or have otherwise managed to sneak some small weapon along on their person.
-Leaders. Leader types will need to help guide and protect their groups. They will need to see their groups to various blindspots across the Capitol, and then on to the main facility.
-Passive Distractions. Passive distractions can be handwaved or threaded to be participating in and hosting parties, advertising campaigns, auctions, and similar events around the Capitol. They will be covering up as best the can the fact that a large number of tributes are not present in the tower, by spreading their numbers out. Those doing this are asked to state OOCly here what they will be doing (it will be used by mods later).
-Active Distractions. You are guaranteeing your character caught by the Capitol (see below for punishments). You will be putting your character on the line to help the other characters in the break-in to escape.
Please state in the sign ups if your character will be participating in this plot, and whether or not they will be participating in the break-in portion. Characters choosing to fight will be rolled via RNG to determine whether or not they are caught and if they may receive minor or major injury. Being caught can lead to imprisonment, Avoxing, punishment of loved ones, forced re-education sessions with the Capitol, brainwashing, or execution. Please specify which you are NOT willing to play. (You may be asked to put your character in a different position if punishments are non-playable.)
Sign ups will close by 11:59 PM April 12th, Sunday.

In the coming days, a network post will be going up viewable only to those who’ve signed up for the plot. It is through this characters will be assigned their tasks and given the rundown of the mission. This will consist of a day or two spent collecting materials needed for the break-in, followed by the break-in itself. There will be a pre-mission thread where characters can mingle, prepare, and say their goodbyes. There will be a section for the break-in, the escape, and the return for those who manage to. The Capitol will later give a surprise of it’s own and a mysterious third party may have one as well...
Because of the nature of this plot, certain elements of the timing may be wonky. Fritz thanks you for your patience through this minor bump.
