Thicker Than Blood Plot Stuff

Exposé Players

What I will need to write your exposé:

1. Five scenes from your character's life that you have written. These can be as long or short as you want, but the more you give me to work with the more I can do with the exposé.

2. As comprehensive link to your character's history and their world's history, if it's unusual in some way. Also, any way to legally view your canon for free (such as Netflix, playthroughs, so on). I'm going to try and make these as thorough as possible, and you will get a chance to review them before they go up. If there's no way for me to legally view it that's fine, but I'll likely pester you with a million questions.

3. A fairly large canon image that I can use to make a banner.

If you are writing your own exposé, I am requesting that you wait until you see the first few I write and then model yours off of that basic template. Also, please submit yours to me before I post them from the mod account, rather than posting them directly. They may receive minor edits to make them fit with the others more. The sooner they are submitted to me the better, as I'm going to try and put an exposé up every three days and would love a little buffer time.

Characters I'm writing for:

Venus Dee Milo
Albert Heinrich
Carlos the Scientist
Felicity Worthington
Enjolras
Jane Shepard

Characters their players are writing for:

Jan Arrah
Guy Crood
Rat
Danny Fenton

Visitor Players

The mod journal for visitors is [personal profile] tributevisitors and the password is thickerthanbl00d. Feel free to upload your own icons to it.

As a note, please don't take the visitors from a further canonpoint than the Tribute unless that Tribute is dead.

A few questions before I get going on this!

1. Should these scenes be the juciest from their life? What sort of information are you looking for to build the expose on? (Things for the Capitol to misinterpret? Things that would cause the person in question the most distress? Don't care just write it? lol)

2. You specify scenes so I assume these would be from the pov of the character in question. If there is an already written thread (since some of Albert's experiences in particular are from another game canon) would it be alright to link you a specific thread as a scene, or should it be rewritten in more fic-ish form?

3. If there is no technically legal way to view the canon but there are videos on streaming sites that require no download (ie: youtube), is that alright? Most of my canon hasn't been released in the US on anything but a TV run.

4. Forgot to add this, but would tributes who do not have visitors be required to be in their own suites for the plot start post? I'd like to know just so I know if Albert would be present in D2 instead of his own district suite or not.

Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure I have this right so things can go smoothly.

Sweet! Thank you.

Alright, I'm ready to hand over some info /o/

1. Concerning which scenes to use, I've chosen a couple to establish Albert's backstory (behind the music tribute kinda thing) and then three others that can easily spin him in a completely negative and savage light. If that's not the direction the Capitol would take, I can choose different scenes, but either way here they are:

+ Hilda's death from Tears of Steel. It's the very beginning of the episode. I will write it out if you need me to.
+ Albert's initial remodeling. Done in a musebox with the same Jet that's in the Games so it's cast approved.
+ Pre Site B event where Albert and Jet die. Albert has no knowledge of this icly but I assume the Capitol can get their hands on anything?
+ Albert training kids to use guns. He was trying to help them survive in a post-apocalypse, but I encourage this to be used entirely out of context for the expose.
+ Albert attacks his family. He was under bad guy influence here and has since been cured (obviously) but again, if the Capitol wants to paint him as some kind of monster this is a thing they might use.

I would like for the expose to at least establish Jet and Albert's relationship publicly as well, if that's alright. I don't have a specific scene in mind for establishing them as a couple, generally they're just kinda cuddly in private, but there is this that happened on the roof of the tribute tower. Call it a bonus scene I guess? lol

2. The most comprehensive link to Albert's history is here and is my retelling from my app. The Cyborg 009 wiki sucks.

Second, I have as much of the Cyborg 009 2001 series as I could find here (under the 2001 heading) but these are some of the important episodes for him:
- 01: The Birth
- 02: The Escape
- 05: Tears of Steel (Character centric)
- 32: Man or Machine (Character centric)
- 48: When you Wish Upon a Shooting Star (last episode)

The 009 RE: Cyborg film is where his icons are from and where I took his canon point from before apping to his previous game, so this is important as well.

Here also is Albert's activity log from Site B, his previous game. Some important threads:
- Waking up a clone
- Escaping the island
- Trading himself for captured Jet and then enacting a plan to kill the bad guys
- Albert dies and is revived... wrong
- Jet rescues Albert

I know that's a lot and I'm really sorry if it's too much x.x I tried to keep it to just the important stuff but I'm drawing from two stages of published canon and a previous game for a 100 year old character so a lot has happened.

3. Here's a banner image (sorry about the orientation but it's the biggest canon pic I have.)

Banner, canon links, two scenes, and a question:

Okay, let's make this happen!

First, have a banner. Here is a canon history for Carlos -- here is my app where I cover my headcanon for what happened to him pre-canon.

Second, the episodes can be found on podbay or the iTunes store for free. They're also mostly up on YouTube. Here are links to the important Carlos episodes:
1 - Pilot
16 - The Phone Call
25 - One Year Later

Link to a post with two of five scenes written up!

For scenes 3, 4 and 5, I was thinking of taking them directly from canon. For 3, I was going to use the town meeting from the pilot episode, where Carlos chews gum and tells everyone that he's going to find out what's going on in Night Vale. 4, I would like to be the events that transpired during the multiple phone calls he gives Cecil in episode 16. Finally, 5 ought to be the events of episode 25, beginning with the call to arms at the bowling alley and ending with Carlos collapsing in the underground city, just before the Apache tracker interferes. Would you like me to type up these scenes in a story format, or will the episode links be enough? I don't mind typing them up if you want me to, but I figured I'd ask first. I appreciate you doing this, and I'm super excited for all of it!

Looks like this tumblr has all episodes so far transcribed! Is that all you need from me, or do you want me to go ahead and write out those other three scenes?

Just a question regarding that last part, about not taking them from further canon points.

The person showing up for my character would, at the current canon point of Starkiller, be a drunken and useless old man who doesn't know who Starkiller is at this canon point. It's only a bit further into Starkiller's canon point that the two become acquainted with one another and he takes on a sort of fatherly role to Starkiller.

So would it be allowed, for him to be from a further canon point than Starkiller for these purposes? Starkiller won't know him, but it will help his development a bit, to be told of certain things and to meet with him.

Just for clarification, what would be alternate about it?

Ohh, okay. That makes sense.

BUT. I'm stupid. I misinterpreted what was said above and now I think this might not even be an issue now.

It says don't take them from a further canon point unless the tribute is dead- I didn't think that through entirely so I need a little more clarification. Would Starkiller need to be at the canon point in which he's dead for that to count?

Because he does die in canon, he's just at a canon point before it, and the character could be taken from after Starkiller is dead. If he was taken from after Starkiller is dead, would that be okay regardless whether Starkiller is at the canon point?

I'm sorry for this confusion and if that's not allowed then I can carry on doing the alternate thing you mentioned.

Oh! I'm sorry, that makes sense too. Apologies for all these misunderstandings. The mun and I will work out something involving them both being at the same point just to avoid issues.

Thank you for the help!

1. GIMME A DAY TO WRITE THESE OKOK <3

2. This is a link to her app with a complete history section.

On the surface, Felicity's world is simply historical 1890’s England. She was born in London, where her family’s home is, but she attended Spence from roughly the age of 10 until the summer after she turned 18. England in the 1890’s straddled the Victorian and modern eras, with London serving as an intellectual and cosmopolitan center while still feeling the squeeze of the previous century of restraint. It was crowded and unhealthy in the city, but the grounds of Spence were lush, green, and undisturbed with a thick forest protecting it from outsiders.

Below the surface, her universe contains the gateway to a magical dimension called The Realms. The Realms is a place where mythological creatures are real and magic is loose and flows like water or air. Examples of the creatures in The Realms are centaurs, gorgons, and evil water nymphs. Mythological gods and goddess can incarnate themselves there as well. The Realms are traditionally protected by The Order, a sect of sorceresses who distribute the magic to the inhabitants of the Realms as they see fit. The Realms are in turn the gateway to the Winterlands. The Winterlands are home to the corrupted souls of the dead, those who refused to cross over after dying. They are basically zombies who decay slowly and cannot enter the land of the living or the land of the dead any longer (think limbo, in a way.)

THIS IS A LINK TO THE AUDIOBOOK OF THE FIRST BOOK! A scene with Felicity being a bitch starts in Part 12 here.

I think I'm doing this right.

1 - Scenes! Let me know if you need more, or if anything needs to be revised, or whatever.

2 - Wiki! I also wrote out a fairly comprehensive history here, since Hugo doesn't account for much prior to summer of 1828, or so. And I've been in your living room. You could use your copy of the Brick for something other than killing spiders.

3 -Will this work? I've already edited the colors on it to not suck. Let me tell you about how much I hate the green filters on that movie.
