Hi guys.

I'll try to keep this short but basically I wanted to apologize for my total lack of activity lately. I'm especially sorry to those I planned and promised threads with before I ended up bailing. If any of you want chat about doing another thread or maybe talk about and handwave what happened I'm totally open.

This is my attempt to get back on the bike. I'll give myself this August to get back into RPing so hopefully I won't have to bow out.

Hey this is Garshil, bringing in yet another Spartacus character. Seppia Flavius is a Panem AU and is the new stylist for District 4. She finds this very exciting. She's basically your average school girl in a 21 year old woman's body and with her eyes set on a rich husband (and also on the Games, she loves people killing people). She's (possibly) too close to her brother but this is never going to come up in threads so don't worry about incest stuff unless your character wants to remark on some rumors they might have heard.

At approximately 1am on Saturday morning, the body of head Peacekeeper Hsiang “Penny” Jiao was discovered deceased in her home in the Capitol. Her death was quickly ruled a homicide. Word of her demise has been kept a tightly guarded secret until now. At approximately 3am Sunday morning, Peacekeepers will storm the Tribute center and simultaneously put every floor on lock down. Arrest warrants have been issued for the following tributes and mentors:

The Peacekeepers will apprehend their suspects quickly and remove them from the Tribute center and to a group holding cell where they will be held before facing individual questioning. Any attempts from other residents of the tower to disrupt the arrests will result in police brutality. You will not be successful.

The late night newscast of Panem Nightly will be interrupted by a live broadcast from outside the Tribute Center. The arrests will be broadcast for the entire Capitol and all of the Districts to see.  There won't be an official log of the arrests, however you are welcome to post your own logs or reactions if you wish!

Their disappearance likely would not be noticed until morning. The Peacekeepers seem unconcerned by their disappearance as they have more pressing matters to attend to.

And now, for the OOC nitty-gritty:

Shortly a log for the suspects will be posted. It will be an open log set in the group holding cell. All the characters can interact with one another. You can also set threads during the time a specific character is absent from the holding cell. Your character will be interrogated and injured during their questioning, however all injuries during this time are superficial and non-permanant. No one is being mutilated. There will be plenty of time for that later. The actual torture scenes will not be logged out, however, if you would like to have your character sell out another character, accuse someone else of a crime, offer a trade, or otherwise talk to the Peacekeepers, please PM the mod account and we’ll work out something to further the narrative.

Players who’ve signed up to participate in the investigation of Penny’s death, please standby! Lisa will be PMing you in the next day or so with details of your character’s part in the investigation!

Players who wish to participate in the jailbreak, this is your chance to sign up if you haven’t yet! Here’s a bit about how the jailbreak will work:

The jailbreak is scheduled to happen approximately one week from now. You can either claim a specific target to rescue, or leave it up to the mods to pair you up. You may team up with other jail breakers to plot to rescue one person, however you cannot attempt to rescue more than one person. Multiple jail breakers can try to rescue the same person. Rescue attempts have a 50% failure rate. The mods will RNG whether you successfully rescue your target or whether your character is quickly apprehended and tortured. If you choose to work as a group, everyone is rolled together as a group, meaning that if one gets caught, they all get caught.

As a reminder, a failed jailbreak means punishment for your character.  They will be jailed and they may be tortured or injured.  There will also be a non-fatal consequence during the next arena.
