Arena Update.

This arena has thus far, felt very much like watching an extreme sort of slumber party; kids in their pajamas slinking down hallways, breaking things and poking their noses in places they don't belong. Thankfully most slumber parties are several degrees less bloody in popular practice, and seldom take place in museums, but it sure has caused a rush order on luxury pajamas!

Creative use of the exhibits is an at-home favourite.

Creative use of your fellow tributes is a favourite of everyone.

The lack of wilderness, or any outdoor exposure at all in the video feeds makes hits arena seem particularly close to home. Familiar locations that the audience at home can relate to really makes them feel like they're a part of this experience with you!

Some are rooting for you.

Some would like to see you suffer.

In the end, all but one of you will fail.

Gamemaker Notes//Out Of Character.

Sorry for the delay on this guys, the weekend completely got away from me! Just a reminder though that Death Rolls from here on out will be on Fridays, starting on January 24th! Also, Death Rolls are going to be the Arena's weekly source of information, and the Capitol is about to get it's own special treat for all it's special tidbits; it's very own radio talk show, with esteemed radio personality, Cecil Palmer! We're very excited to tune in.

Shep has briefly split up with Garrus after the cornucopia but they are set to meet up again at some point this week, after some recon, likely on floor three where they will proceed to hang about between the Gem hall and various on that floor.

To-do list for this arena:

Set the tarpit on fire in a timely fashion to immolate some motherfuckers
Find out about the hilariously deadly fire suppression system
Beat someone to death with a hunk of amethyst
Find some people to be pals with
Snag a mask re: Plans with Some the Grue
Biotics!!!!
Starving to death after use of biotics?
Trading bullets to people or using them to lure folks into traps?
Guns?
???


Other than that, I have no plans. Indeed these are pretty nebulous. BUT I SURE DO WANT TO MAKE SOME PLANS.

I saw that on the big countdown post but I wasn't sure if you had plans for that thread. Regardless, her first point of taking will be either in the gem hall, which is an awesome place for ambushes, or in the cafeteria itself, which has hiding places and more importantly food.

Once she finds out about the masks, one way or another, her hoarding of food is going to be sort of intense as a result of the metabolic needs from her powers.

More to the point, she and Garrus have split a box of bullets that he got at the Cornucopia, and Wyatt maybe you are interested in this fact?

Wyatt might be interested in the gem hall if he had friends, as it is it's too big with too many entrances and exits (and way too dark) to hold on his own. See, also, the cafeteria - though he raided that of all the coffee and pasta he could carry in his bag.

Other than that, he holed up in one of the bathrooms for the night.

Bullets. Yes. He would be deeply interested in those. More so in what they go with, but he'd take what he could get.

We chatted about it and what the bullets go with might be found elsewhere in the arena, but that's Garrus' biz. Divide and conquer, et cetera.

So it's a definite maybe.

But for now, the gamemakers have handed a couple of career jury-riggers a box of bullets which, if you'll recall, contain small packets of black powder in them. Someone with a deft hand and a swiss army knife could carefully pry the jacket off the bullet and use the resulting explosive for...all manner of fun.

So guns are nice, but the good stuff is actually in the bullet itself. Also it might be fun to refill and fit the the two parts back together and hand the duds to people they don't like in exchange for food or amnesty— only for said ammunition to fail them later.

Don't be so pessimistic. He could die from the resultant cold burns when the fire suppression system goes active. Or, he could eventually get to the part where he and Shep have a stand-off and she'll break his spine for his trouble.

No, but yeah, he'll probably be on fire at some point. Let's be real.

Man, for real! If nothing else, he could impart to her the knowledge of what the masks are and do, if the thread I have planned with Some falls through or doesn't go as intended.

And *that* is hella useful.

I read your death/killing plans, and I definitely want to have ghb witness her glorious bullshit space magic before he dies, but I would need to have her be killing at least one person in order to justify it. Also I'd like to put it off because once she uses her biotics, her metabolic needs are going to kick up and if she doesn't get like twice the calories per day for like a week after that, she'll just straight starve to death.

Which is non-optimal, this early in the arena. XD

Because it's going to have the biggest hunks, possibly, on account of it being a fairly common crystal. And also, it's not like a diamond, it might have a piece break off and that'd be pretty fun to write, all amethyst shards stuck in someone's wound.
