Inside The Arena:

The past days have been strange; objects seeming to appear and vanish out of thin air; the nearby sound of air and echos originating from unexplainable places. Wildlife behave as if a predator were nearby, or a storm might be coming. Everything is bizarrely quiet; a hollowness even in the presence of sound.

The animals are not the only ones who have been affected. The hallucinations can strike anyone. At any time. And can be anything from the simple paranoia of hearing noises (are those howls even real?) to complex episodes that bombard the senses; a vivid mix of nightmares and memories that feel as real as the ground you're standing on. And as instantly as they can overwhelm a person without warning, they fade just as fast.

Just as time seems to feel normal again, a day comes that seems to last twice as long as normal. But night falls. And lasts. Twice as long as a normal night.

This doesn't stop the pace of the game. As ever still, the tributes fall. The canons sound throughout each arena with every stop of a beating heart. Every 24 hours, the anthem plays and shows in the recent days these are the faces in the sky:

The connection to the desert arena lies deep within the castle. Immovable bars separate this side from the other, and the connection remains. But anyone who lingers here too long may find the cave feeling with water, toxic gasses seeping into the air, or some nasty little cave creature hungry for your flesh.

Arena2: The Desert

But anyone who lingers here too long may find the cave feeling with water, toxic gasses seeping into the air, or some nasty little cave creature hungry for your flesh.

Any character listed in the death roll above may be "bought" out of death by another character for the set amount of credits this week. No character may buy themselves out of their own death using their own credits. Characters without enough credits are allowed to pool credits from other player characters, so long as it has been discussed by all parties.

Please make sure that you respond to the death buyout thread before Saturday, so the mods can make the proper adjustments before the next death roll post goes up. Also keep in mind that if you would like to volunteer your character for death, you are free to do so at any time. They do not have to come up in a death roll to die. Please just let a mod know in the Death Buyout thread so your character(s) can be properly removed from the arena!

Wednesday morning at the Training Center, was the first day of signups for the Celebrus Charity Auction. Information can be found on an easel display in the common room. It reads:

Tributes who volunteer to be auctioned off for a dance will earn 50 Assi per dance for the less fortunate.

Tributes who volunteer to be auctioned off for a date will earn 500 Assi for the less fortunate. You can volunteer for both, or do your own bidding.
