Inside The Arena:

The past days have been strange; objects seeming to appear and vanish out of thin air; the nearby sound of air and echos originating from unexplainable places. Wildlife behave as if a predator were nearby, or a storm might be coming. Everything is bizarrely quiet; a hollowness even in the presence of sound.

The animals are not the only ones who have been affected. The hallucinations can strike anyone. At any time. And can be anything from the simple paranoia of hearing noises (are those howls even real?) to complex episodes that bombard the senses; a vivid mix of nightmares and memories that feel as real as the ground you're standing on. And as instantly as they can overwhelm a person without warning, they fade just as fast.

Just as time seems to feel normal again, a day comes that seems to last twice as long as normal. But night falls. And lasts. Twice as long as a normal night.

This doesn't stop the pace of the game. As ever still, the tributes fall. The canons sound throughout each arena with every stop of a beating heart. Every 24 hours, the anthem plays and shows in the recent days these are the faces in the sky:

The connection to the desert arena lies deep within the castle. Immovable bars separate this side from the other, and the connection remains. But anyone who lingers here too long may find the cave feeling with water, toxic gasses seeping into the air, or some nasty little cave creature hungry for your flesh.

Arena2: The Desert

The connection to the candy arena lies deep within the caves of the mountain. Immovable bars separate this side from the other, and the connection remains. But anyone who lingers here too long may find the cave feeling with water, toxic gasses seeping into the air, or some nasty little cave creature hungry for your flesh.

Death Buyout: 3200 Credits

Any character listed in the death roll above may be "bought" out of death by another character for the set amount of credits this week. No character may buy themselves out of their own death using their own credits. Characters without enough credits are allowed to pool credits from other player characters, so long as it has been discussed by all parties.

Please make sure that you respond to the death buyout thread before Saturday, so the mods can make the proper adjustments before the next death roll post goes up. Also keep in mind that if you would like to volunteer your character for death, you are free to do so at any time. They do not have to come up in a death roll to die. Please just let a mod know in the Death Buyout thread so your character(s) can be properly removed from the arena!

Wednesday morning at the Training Center, was the first day of signups for the Celebrus Charity Auction. Information can be found on an easel display in the common room. It reads:

Tributes who volunteer to be auctioned off for a dance will earn 50 Assi per dance for the less fortunate.

Tributes who volunteer to be auctioned off for a date will earn 500 Assi for the less fortunate. You can volunteer for both, or do your own bidding.

Hit me, folks. Both are wandering around being killing machines and actually doing really well for themselves. Venus is surviving off what she takes off her kills and Howard's well-fed on doki-dokis.

Mona (desert) and Asha (dessert)!

Both are dying this round! For Asha in particular I'd be interested in some sort of mutual destruction, or at least her trying to kill some peeps and biting off more than she could chew! She's been hovering around the river, because it might be gross, but it's still water. Mona is much more sneaky and is therefore more likely to be killed when she's made a misstep in how someone will react to her, or if a poorly-placed hallucination causes her to lose her shit and draw in the wrong attention.

ALSO they're both up to killing people if anyone wants to do that, though Mona will try and be subtle about it

Lindsey's getting hallucinations, and sometimes he's going to attack things that aren't there. If he's out to get things that aren't there... what will he do to the people who are?

He's running low in supplies and will be stumbling around like a desperate man.

Does anyone want to meet up with this crazy guy... or die by his blade?

Cindy - Arena 1

Cindy is still wandering around the candy arena. She teamed up with Peggy, but Peggy may be dying this week. So this means Cindy's streak of having everyone who teams up with her dies is still in effect.

As for playing something, well, anything? She's hurt, she's a mess, but she's still fighting. I'd really love for her to actually kill someone, since she hasn't yet! Cindy has had some nice sponsors so far, plus teaming up and all those doki-doki keep her well-fed. I don't know, seriously, anything, at some point I need to kill her off as well, I just don't know how that will go, yet!

Wyatt is in Arena 2, presumably still up to shenanigans with Max and R. Nothing set in stone right now so far as I know and he can always wander off for food/water if someone wants to bump into him.

I am still trying to work my way through the conclusion of a work project that's taken me longer than anticipated, and have been unable to be active. I am going to make a go of it, but am very far behind, and not sure where to pick things up. My plan is to go through and tag things, and to make a more up-to-date post to get this guy doing current stuff. However, I will not be able to do that until tomorrow at the earliest, which is also when I'll be able to actively plot.

Now I gotta get back to work. ;P

BECK - ARENA 1

Okay, let's see here!

Beck's in Arena 1, trying to keep on his feet. He's getting food from sponsor items...but that's pretty much it. He tried to eat some of the stuff provided in the Arena, but he's pretty much puked up everything he ate, so.

To make a long story short- BECK IS BORING.

He's been having hallucinations of a guy named Cyrus he bumped into on the Grid. And, eh, he doesn't like Cyrus too much to be honest haha. I also popped up a catch-all post not too long ago, so if you want to check that out let me know!

I would love LOVE it if he had to kill someone someday soon. He's stuck with that One Rule kind of thing, and I really want to try and break that because i am a bad person haha

Shepard Murder Synopsis (Plot with me!) - Group 1

Location: Chillin' with Pruna, making out like a bandit re: supplies and dokidoki meat, keeping on the move, retiring to tiny candy houses, deliberately avoiding the castle
Plans: Re: Murder

Shepard's been through some fairly excessive survival training before so she entered into this in the right mindset and stayed in that mindset the entire time. At some point she has decided that killing children, in the Arena at least, is okay. Because Renegade.

Brief summary:
Watched Thane die
Didn't Kill Lottie, stole her shit instead
Lured a crowd of dokidoki into Dirk Strider because he looked distinctly bait-like
Watched Thane die *again*, only this time on TV. Where's the remote? I wanna change the channel.
Teamed up with Pruna, Sandy, and somewhat Howard. Pretty much decided to kill Pruna first.
Received supplies from Thane, wtf is it with Krios and posthumous love notes?
Was involved in Lottie's death, goddammit this is what happens when I'm nice to people, I should've just stabbed her in the head.
And then, later, was involved in Karkat's slow, painful death. Because learn your lesson, Vantas.

So, it's been a pretty good run, and given the current death roll, she'll probs be involved in a couple more murders, so. Anyone want to be killed? Anyone want to just get injured or do something really dumb like sass her, or just have a chat? At this point she's pretty patient and cautious, so murder isn't necessarily a foregone conclusion.
