HOW'S MY DRIVING?

Anon is enabled, don't be an a jerk.

This is not a love meme, however, that also doesn't mean it is a hate meme. Someone's driving can be good, feel free to say as much! Just try to give them an idea on how.

Also please make sure if you are asking for crit you are also giving it. If everyone only posts for themselves, no one will get any feedback. You don't need to comment to everyone, but please be sure if you comment to reply to at least 3 other people. We'll be keeping an eye on this post to make sure everyone's commenting around.

There are some helpful crit questions posted here if you are feeling lost on how to word yourself.

Heya Paula. Been a bit since we threaded. I really have enjoyed how proactive you've been with the chat, and I love Danny and want more CR with him (we never did follow up on the racial profiling thing). That said, it's not response time that worries me about your tags so much as the amount of threads you drop. I feel like most of my threads with you haven't gotten much further than three or four comments, if that, and that makes me hesitant to plot anything major with you.

My suggestions would either be to backtag more (most people in this game will backtag a lot, so don't worry about being 'too late'), or if it's you losing interest in older threads, maybe setting aside times to contact another player and boomerang with them. I'm usually game for a round of boomerang tag if we have a direction we want the thread to go, and a few other players are as well. That way more gets accomplished per thread.

Good luck on the meds - having just been there, I can say that having the right cocktail completely made things better. <3

First off, thank you for the constructive well thought out criticism that didn't fall into "You suck" or the like. Nice to have your issues pointed out to you and not feel like shit for it. :)

So, I did some reflecting...(and weee, psycho babble talk now!)

I think the dropping comes from me getting embarrassed that I've "Let it go that long". Looking back I can remember coming off of a few lulls and going "Shit, it's been too long. I'm so embarrassed, God I've let everyone down. I'll just drop them and do better in the future" and then... I basically repeat the process over and over and over. Even though I SWEAR and PROMISE myself I won't do it again.

Some of the drops... I think yours may have been one of them are "fuck, I don't know where to take this." Which, is also not a good reason to just drop it.

I think going forwards I need to:

A) Not do the whole embarrassed thing and tag no matter how old it is.

B) If I don't have any idea where it's going PM the person and be all "WTF I'm stuck, where do we want this to go"

I also should look into a time to boomerang... I grew up RPing in AIM. Which was instant gratification. I didn't have the option to pull and ADHD move and get distracted by other shinies or fic... etc. I tend to do better if I'm in good OOC communication with a player, as well as IC communication.

Perhaps I should clean out my plurk? I basically dumped it because I kinda left my old game in a huff because of mod issues. Is there a way to filter so I only read the plurks from people I actually want to talk to? Maybe I should just do a mass unfriending.

Anyway, you've given me things to think about...

Aww, I don't think you suck at all. And I, personally, would always love to hear if someone's having trouble with a thread and we need to figure out a direction for it.

There is actually a way to filter which plurks you read, which is just by unfollowing the people you don't want to read - if you click their profile, under the 'add as friend' button there's an option to unfollow. They'll be able to read your things but their plurks won't show up on your dash. And I recommend an active plurk for this game, it really does help I think.

I just wanted to pop my head in to say that I am totally cool with backtagging, and would much prefer it to dropped threads. :)

Especially with these two, because they so badly need to have some CR in game!
