HOW'S MY DRIVING?
This is not a love meme, however, that also doesn't mean it is a hate meme. Someone's driving can be good, feel free to say as much! Just try to give them an idea on how.
Also please make sure if you are asking for crit you are also giving it. If everyone only posts for themselves, no one will get any feedback. You don't need to comment to everyone, but please be sure if you comment to reply to at least 3 other people. We'll be keeping an eye on this post to make sure everyone's commenting around.
There are some helpful crit questions posted here if you are feeling lost on how to word yourself.

Cal is always supposed to have had rebellious tendancies; her parents - in the app - whisper a lot and have meetings - so she's always had that in the background. And her blunt nature DOES make her question things. And she is supposed to have been fond of a drink - though NOT drinking to stop her speaking out of turn. Cal can keep it together whilst she's sober.
The tributes she doesn't want to help: Holiday punched her when Cal tried to send her to bed, and Topher just refuses to respect her because of the Capitol rumours. She has tried to go to Timaeus and secure general sponsorship for the district - and taken cakes to sweeten him up.
Right now, I know she's not behaving in her sweet, giggly, kinda way. It's kinda unfortunate that I re-introduced her when I did, as theplot has definitely affectedher personality in ways I didn't consider. I mesn, her first re-intro thread, she's giggling with Eva about male Tributes and sponsors. I think before that, she had been intro'd completely at Timaeus' party and then maybe rolled her eyes on Jack's intro. And I know it's not as ostentatious as Jack's Director, her last absence was explained with her being with Trimlachio, a Capitol citizen and sponsor. Always she'll tell Jack she was away or partying or anything but admit to being a Capitol toy. She whines at him enough for it, afterall! She might do it - but she still feels a duty of care to Jack and hates to see him used in such a manner.
Eva's friendship has meant a lot to Cal; she was ripped from her home at 14 and was given a low odds of winning. She knows she should be dead. And because she's asked questions, she isn't really allowed back to the district, even before this plot, so growing up, Eva became mother, sister, friend. A reliable face amongst the millions who died. And Cal willhave shared alot. She is TERRIFIED that Eva will blab about her. As for Ariadne - she is one of the Victors. She's supposed to be a new consistant - and it's been made very, very apparent that this stability that Cal has clung to - almost like a family - has been ripped from her. Cal's reaction to Ariadne is more a reaction to Eva; had Eva betrayed Wesker or Momoko or one of the old Victors, Cal would have done almost exactly the same. As far as she knows, Eva's shown her true colours and turned Cal's world upside down. It's an ostentatious, albeit silly show that not all mentors are like Eva, that she won't be a traitor. And because she thinks Eva has told her secrets, it makes her just a little reckless. In the arena, she hunted the bear that mauled her friend and killed it. Not for the meat or the fur, though she used those later, but because the bear had effectively left Calico alone in the woods. She forgot the Games, didn't think about other Tributes, until that bear was gone.
And just as she screamed and cried and tried to run away at her Reaping, this is her doing exactly the same all over again. Unlike Eponine, Cal is well aware of the barrier - she knows she can't actually run anywhere. As Topher said, she is just as much a prisoner as the Tributes are. And suddenly, she feels very, very alone. She kinda feels like the world's against her a little bit; Eva's turned, Victor's been killed - and with what Cal has spoken about with Eva over the years, she is terrified that she'll be next. And that is not something she wants to tell Jack about as they're almost completely opposite in their Capitol views. She's scared Eva will tell about the murmurs Cal had heard in District 8 as a kid and the retributions from that. She's just scared, plain and simple. And rather than doing the sane thing and keeping a clear head, she drinks because she wants to forget Eva. And that name is gonna be a hard one to forget.
I hope this kinda explains where I'm coming from with Cal, and the reasons why she is behaving this way. It's unfortunate that I had the break away so I couldn't show Cal in her more happy go lucky persona. I am aware that she does seem a little off though - and I do want to use this plot to get her back to her bubbly self. From now on, she will definitely be trying - and hopefully mimicking Jack in his views to make sure she's got it right.
Oh gosh though, I am so sorry if I have made no sense. Maybe a post like this in her journal, explaining her motives and where she's coming from, might have been wise. But thank you for saying that, because I know it does seem off considering she is supposed to know how to work in the Capitol. And usually she does. Perhaps I ought not to have plunged straight into this plot line, considering she had been absent for awhile whilst Uni ate me. It might have been better to have her try to ignore or keep quiet and sew sew sew. I dunno. It just seemed to me, and especially because Eva was the instigator, the right thing to do. Anyone else, she might have been able to ignore - but not Eva. Anyway, thanks for letting me explain where I'm coming from, and I'm really sorry if it hasn't been clear or caused confusion. But if you do have questions for me, either now or in the future, hit me up! I think anon is off in her journal if you prefer and -well, ip isn't but I dunno how to do that, and as if I'm gonna hunt you down through that! Or plurk - whatever! I am really sorry if she has seemed ooc - but hpefully, she will be back to normal and taking her feelings out on feathers and sequins very soon.
Also - sorry for typos - I'm on my phone and touchscreen sucks!
