HOW'S MY DRIVING?

Anon is enabled, don't be an a jerk.

This is not a love meme, however, that also doesn't mean it is a hate meme. Someone's driving can be good, feel free to say as much! Just try to give them an idea on how.

Also please make sure if you are asking for crit you are also giving it. If everyone only posts for themselves, no one will get any feedback. You don't need to comment to everyone, but please be sure if you comment to reply to at least 3 other people. We'll be keeping an eye on this post to make sure everyone's commenting around.

There are some helpful crit questions posted here if you are feeling lost on how to word yourself.

I have really been enjoying the thread with Prim. You have her sweetness down but also her knowledge of what sort of a place Panem is and what it means to grow up there.

I feel like you have a good idea of character types you would like to play, but a poor choice in characters you actually play. It's difficult to see the intelligence and inquisitive natures of your characters due to lackluster tagging habits, egregious out of character actions preformed by your characters, and a tendency to slide in tag quality (not quantity, as short tags can offer much in terms of writing and thread development) within a span of four tags or less depending on your interest level or lack thereof.

I've seen evidence that you can and have written characters, these included, as engaging and true to their canon personalities. Please, do more of this! You are enjoyable when you are not pushing for out of character personality developments or pushing "ships" as often seems to happen with Ruby. Or recalling that Barbara Gordon is an intelligent young woman, and not as thick, obtuse, or uninsightful as you lapse into portraying her. Seeing you take time to consider them individually and do your ladies justice based on who they are shown to be actually in their canon, and not your stretched reaches for who you want them to be would be appreciated.

As you play them now, they are mockeries of the excellence they could be, if only you gave them good thought and attention. You may find this easier to do with a smaller roster.

You already know my feelings on you and yours. They are why I keep tagging with you after all.

Neither of us are perfect. Far from it. But if you keep promising to improve so will I.

Hey! Unfortunately (or fortunately?), I'm going to agree a little bit with anon down there, when it comes to your characters. It seems to me that, while it changes every so often, you pick one aspect of the character and then make the character JUST be that one aspect, you know? Like shoving a character into a trope, that kind of thing. Which is something that shouldn't be done, especially with the amazing group of girls you play right now! And I have seen you do a lot better then what you are doing currently.

I love playing with Prim, but I have noticed that tags become one-liners every so often, and I am not always sure if that means you're not interested in the thread anymore, because I see you not writing as much in all of your tags. But I am excited to finally play with Ruby with Cindy, in all the fairy tale hilarity that will happen. But maybe you don't need to tag around as much as you do? Just to have a few threads and really give them your all.

That's really it. I really do enjoy playing with you, and I can't wait for future threads with our characters!

*Nods* I'm trying to do better - I discussed a lot o this in plurk a month or so ago, before pretty much disappearing (partially due to Israel. >,>) I'm looking forward to doing more with you, and I'm going to take all of that to heart.

...I'm also bringing in one more character, I mus admit - assuming he gets accepted: he's an OC citizen who should round out my cast. (He's very easy for me to tag with, so I don't expect him to add any strain. Hopefully he'll actually help, because I can send him into things hat interest me, but where it was a stretch to put any of my current characters.)

I always end up missing plurks, so I'm sorry that I didn't see it before. But I hope that helps, I know you like to be involved, and I definitely understand the challenges of playing characters that can't always get involved in certain things.

...You might have missed this plurk, too, but. My dad just died. So. Yeah.

I did miss that. I'm so sorry to hear that. Let me know if there's anything I can do, okay?
