back from hiatus! and info on Maximus' Legion

ALRIGHT deadline is finished so I am back just in time to do some pre-arena catch up and plotting stuff.

So for those of you who saw my plotting post on the Arena, Maximus Decimus Meridius has a plan, and that plan is working together. Over the last week he will have been approaching various tributes in order to gauge their ability to be able to work together as a team and survive the next arena.

Basically he wants to give a silent 'f you' to the capitol by encouraging teamwork in an 'every man for themselves' battle to the death.

For maximum cr benefit, he will be setting up the legion like so:

Everyone falls back to the cornucopia after five hours in order to form up, and then break off in teams of 2 or 3 to explore the arena, and then fall back in 24 hours. Rinse, repeat. First order of business: finding safe + power zones, weapons, and food sources. And killing anyone who is going to be a major problem. (Hi Wesker guess who will be hunting for you :D )

The people I have confirmed for legion activity as as follows: morrigan, wyatt, clint, diana, enjolras and de. Confirm here if you're still interested! If you hadn't heard about any of this before but are interested now then feel free to comment here.

For those in, do you guys want to choose first partners now and then we can switch up a couple days in?

I'll be throwing up an IC post for Maximus building his legion as well, if you think your character *might* be interested but want some IC interaction first.

Don might be interested! Though he's in another alliance still, since he still wants to get Lottie out of the Arena.

Maximus has no beef with Don focusing on protecting Lottie - he met her once and thought she was adorable but not really fighting material 8D so he would do what he could to help Don keep her alive.

He'll probably be a lot more amicable than their first meeting :|

My understanding is that Diana will be protecting Blaine a bit too, so he would work with them. Especially if it meant that people were around to help protect Kurt. He doesn't really have the kind of skill that Maximus would be looking for though. ;_;

That's okay, the more people that are kept alive the more of an f-you it is to the capitol, though it's true he wouldn't spend a lot of time making sure Blaine was trained up.

Yeah! They can work on that after the Arena? Blaine is going to be all about playing well to protect Kurt now.

Punchy would definitely be interested. Maximus may decide his boneheadedness is a threat, though. Punchy's a little dense.

I can see how he and maximus might butt heads a little bit but ultimately attempt to work together for the greater good

Despite Sandy's feelings towards Maximus, she is very pro revolution in canon and the fact that at least somebody in the arena is trying to organize something wins points in her eyes. If she was approached on the subject of defiance to the capital she'd be on board. After all the enemy of my enemy and all that.

I doubt he would approach her outright because of her age but perhaps a day or so after the cornucopia she could witness some of the said team building? would that be enough to get her to join in?

That sounds likely. Especially if she sees other people she trusts working with him like Blaine and Diana.

Harley always has had a fondness for henchwork. And she loves shaking up the status quo and causing chaos. If approached the right way she might be interested in helping but she's a wildcard. It might take some work to convince her.

Ian would definitely be interested, but since it's his first arena, and mine, I think he'd join up once he can see what they're doing.

Diana's main plan of action for the Arena is to protect as many people as possible and be as boring as possible to the Capitol viewers. Depending on who she ends up allying with once she's settled, she may feel uneasy about leaving them alone, but otherwise, yeah, she's all for it.
