Hey y'all, I'm Gen! This is Luke. I've dragged him all over Mayfield, Outer Divide, and now he hates my guts even more for bringing him here, if that's even possible. Because after Mayfield I'm pretty sure he wants me to burn in hell. So yay for more character torture! :D

Okay, for serious now, Luke Skywalker from those movies about space and laser swords and green muppets, Star Wars! I think you've all heard of them. He's post-Return of the Jedi era and is all learned in the Force but that won't do him much good in the arena most of the time since the Gamemakers are big meanies and made the Force go away. Still, he's a bit older and wiser than that whiny farmboy and he'll make a really good and trustworthy ally out in the arena.

He'll be representing District 8 and, because I'm so very very evil, he'll be dying out in the frozen wasteland of Arena 5 in the last week. It's kind of ironic. Where's a dead taun-taun when you need one?

I'm so excited to be playing with you all!

(Also while I'm here, anyone want to kill a Jedi?)

I actually need to talk to you because I was considering apping a Star Wars character when I saw your reserve. She's from the EU so it's not like your Luke would know her at all, but given that she had a romantic relationship with him in the three books she was in I figured I'd make sure you were comfortable with her being protective of him in the Arena. I'm thinking about Callista from Children of the Jedi, Darksaber, and Planet of Twilight. I know the fandom has mixed feelings about her and all that. Let me know what you think! I'm torn between her and Madge from Hunger Games so your opinion could make my choice easier.

Hello hello, Mel!

Oooooooooooo, Callista! I have to admit that she's not exactly my favorite character but I'm honestly excited for any canonmates. Luke will be a tad bit weirded out and might spend a lot of energy trying to convince her that she doesn't have to protect him and there is the potential for angst and drama and feels which are always fun. I'm all for it!

Also, originally I wanted to app Luke from post-Thrawn trilogy but I hadn't had the chance to canon review yet so I might canon update him in the future once I've had the chance to do that. Basically, it's been a while since I've read a lot of EU stuff and I'm rusty on the details.

Yeah. It seems like only a few people like her... Oh well, for me she was the first full fledged female Jedi and I sort of loved her for that. And, lol, yes. So much angst. She would try really hard to hide her feelings for him while he was so young. She'd just be like "I have to protect the future of the Jedi :| Deal with it."

We'll see how it goes! I really want to play a woman here, so we'll see if i go with her or someone else!

When my ESB-era Luke was in Mayfield, Mara Jade showed up. Or rather, Mara Jade-Skywalker showed up. Haha, yeah. And Luke was dating Kaylee Frye from Firefly. Oh, and Mara's PB was Christina Hendricks who played YoSafBridge in Firefly which made things amazing/horrible.

Poor Mara was so confused when Kaylee kept accusing her of more trickery and shenanigans when she claimed to be Luke's wife, even going so far as to start calling her MarYoSafBridge. It was pretty hilarious and Luke didn't know who to trust.

Then Mara regained her Force bond with Luke and things got REALLY awkward. Luke eventually had to have a talk with her about his feelings for Kaylee and Mara said she understood but Luke could still feel the hurt and it tore him apart, even though he hardly knew her. Poor guy is such a bleeding heart. He just feels for everybody.

So yeah, I can't deny that I love the drama that results from things like this happening. :D I think it would be tons of fun and I will totally support whatever decision you make.

This totally helps my choice! The last Luke I played with her in a game was Shadows of the Empire! She pretty much felt like he was a little kid and wanted to pinch his cheeks all of the time. At least this Luke will know that Vader is his dad.

And man, poor Mara. I am probably going to ship Luke/Kaylee for ages now.

To be honest you're totally selling me by telling me you like angst. The angst possibilities... They are like delicious candy.

Yeeeaaaahhhh, Luke/Kaylee is that pairing you didn't know you needed in your life until it happens. The Kaylee mun and I still play them as a couple in Outer Divide. And in Mayfield there was the whole misogyny thing where women couldn't buy certain things in certain stores so for one of their dates Luke took Kaylee to a hardware store and bought things for her.

Anyway, I'm excited for future CR with you! All the angst!
