Week Five Deathroll: And We Have A New Victor!

The death toll keeps rising, and you can't help but feel that it is only a matter of time. Frozen, tired, hopeless, you cling to what little life is left in you, and you pray it will not be your last experience with the one true miracle you have been a part of. Life.

Around you, the arena groans and trembles. If you did not see it yourself, you are still likely aware of the massive crumbling chunks of ice all around you. This glacier has an expiration date. And it seems to be approaching far faster than you had hoped for. The Capitol does seem to have a big finale in mind this round!

At least you are still alive.

The most recent anthem to play however, comes with a brief announcement from Claudius Templesmith, the legendary Hunger Games announcer.

Tributes. From now until the finale, you can expect periodic announcements introducing new tributes into the Arena and are subject to the same expectations as all other tributes within the arena. Tonight, we introduce to you a number of new tributes into frigid wasteland. Please welcome Atticus Bell, now here to represent District 1. And, I hope I am reading this correctly, 'R,' to the Arena. He shall be considered a tribute of District 4.

CAPITOL NEWS.

CURFEW: Still in effect from 10 P.M. until 5:30 A.M. each night. NO EXCEPTIONS.

A change in leadership at Celebrus magazine has definitely been noticed by many around the Capitol, causing buzz all around.


OUT OF CHARACTER.

There will be a finale event (hinted at above). It should not interfere with any Death plans, just give you some fodder to move them along. We will be posting it in the next few days.

It's taken us a little bit to really get a handle on how we wanted to approach introducing tributes into the arena, mid-cycle. Thus far, things have worked out very smoothly, we think! But we would like to announce that we have decided it would be best, in the future, to keep fresh new players out of the finale. This does not apply this week, obviously, as we just introduced a few new characters, but likely, from now on, newly arrived tributes will NOT be released into the Arena during a finale week.

In addition, NPC tribute will no longer be participating in the arena, as we have enough PC ones.

And just on the off chance you weren't sure what our policy one backdating posts and tags were; go nuts! Our next arena will open some time next month!

Anyone want to kill Adel? Also open to a scenario where the characters kill each other. I could see Adel killing in self-defense at this point but I think she's still hesitant to kill in cold blood.

Grey is going to be killing Aunamee but he's prooobably going to be in some seriously bad shape afterwards (see: dying). Anyone want the honor of finishing him off? The plot Aunamee mun and I have thought out might take a bit to play out (possibly lots of backtagging?). Just a warning for anyone who wants in on the end of it.
