Hey, everybody! I am bluemoon/blue, a brand new player, here to bring in another resident gamebreaker, aka Bruce Wayne! Or, as he is better known, Batman.

Bruce here is from the DC Animated Universe, more particularly Batman the Animated Series! Most specifically he is from right after he met Superman. He will totally just not kill anyone this is not a thing he's doing -- unless it's inadvertently, by knocking/crippling/etc the other tributes in this vain attempt to keep THEM from killing each other -- but is quite difficult to kill himself.

Ah well, give it time.

He is here to kick butt, take names, break ALL the rules and also adopt ALL the kids! la;dskfh I am super excited to be here and am looking forward to this so much ahhhhh

Javert is one of my favorite characters more or less ever, he's such a srsbsns little dork, p much. I love him. I also adore all his music in the musical version, he is legit the only character I have ever wished I was a man just so I could play him/sing his songs properly.

I've heard that sort of thing on occasion. .... do it do it there is so much potential for awkward and terrible - this Bruce doesn't actually know her yet, his pull point is just after the World's Finest movie, so he's a little ways away from meeting any of the JL'ers except Supes, and they're still in the SIDEYE AND STAY IN THEIR OWN CITIES mode

Oh yes superheroes with followable continuity and likeability what a concept. *loves on DCAU* It's pretty much what started my deep, deep love for Wally West because again, favorite interpretation.

Oh, but Alpha is such a genial, likeable fella! :D

Oh yes, brilliant, although it would be post-crisis/pre-reboot Diana most likely because I love the DCAU dearly and consider it nearly perfect but their Wonder Woman...well. They tried. But there would be plenty of awkward and terrible to go around!

Gosh I know right? I can't tell you how much I wish dc these days would take a page from DCAU's book and stop trying to make things darker and edgier. It's like they are trying to darker and edgier it to death, I swear. I recently got my hands on all the dcau tie in comics, and while there are some that are of lesser quality (aren't there always?) overall these are just like, amazing. And while I love angst as much as the next person, and torturing my characters, and terrible stories presented in a wonderful way... that really can't be all that you're doing you guys. It's just like. Hhh. Such a perfect mixture. One issue is just HIDEOUS (in the good way) and full of angst and terribleness and then the next you can't stop laughing at and then there's plot and then stupid but fun and then FEELS and it just. Yes.

I totally think they should start making comics more kid-friendly though, because you can tell incredible stories that are for everyone! Also this would solve at least some of the problem of DC turning their ladies into sex toys and nothing else.

haha yesss. I actually dearly love DCAU WW as well, but I will admit that she's quite different from normal!Wonder Woman. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but she's a very different creature.

All incarnations of her are lovely and more people need to know more about her I would kill for her to have a really good television show or major motion picture or something, because most people these days know almost nothing about her, and they need to :(

I wish I was brave enough to play from the comics, but I'm totally not. There's just so much canon /sobs into hands

Agh, yes, yes exactly. All I can see is that the Reboot is just the 90s all over again which nobody wanted. It's like they don't realize that we realize that superheroes are, essentially, a silly concept and we are okay with that! It can still be emotionally moving without being dark and gritty and 'realistic'. I've only read a few of the DCAU tie-ins but they were all pretty good. That Joe Chill one was frankly amazing.

Some of the best superhero comics I ever read were all-ages. Marvel Adventures Spider-Man was the most consistently entertaining and engaging I've ever read, I think.

But yeah,DC right now makes me sad for the most part. You did not want to be around me when it was revealed that Diana had a dad. Or that the Amazons were murderous baby-killers. Or that fricken' Ares taught her how to fight because god forbid any part of her damn backstory not involve men...I have a lot of Wonder Woman feelings.

Oh, DCAU WW was a lot of fun, but I always got the feeling that the writers were kind of scared of her? Or just her fans. XD She was at her best when they took chances, like the Steve Trevor episodes, and then there was the other kind, like the one where she randomly really, really angry. For some reason.

The newest pilot was passed on for this coming season, but it wasn't officially dropped so we may...still...see something...eventually. Yeah.

This summer I took it upon myself to read all 200+ issues of her post-crisis stuff so I figure I might as well put the experience to use. XD Although, okay, I skimmed Amazons Attack, I'm not made of stone.

Not only are most of the best comics I've read all-ages, but they're deliberately isolating a huge potential fanbase, by essentially only making comics to appeal to that all important horny male teenager dynamic.

I mean, what kills me is that the reboot could have been such a good thing for DC. It could have been. If they hadn't made so many really stupid choices in such quick succession.

Weeeeeeell WW is a little scary sometimes to try to get into - she thinks very differently than like p much every other hero out there. But DCAU did make Batman/Wonder Woman one of my otps forever and all time so there's that. sob dc what are you doing let supes stay with lois, lois is fabulous, diana can go be fabulous with like bruce or steve or someone who ISN'T CLARK.

I'm torn there, actually, because Diana is far and away my favorite pairing with Bruce (well okay, Lois and Andrea are enough to challenge it I guess) and also the least messed up of his pairings but. I like the messed up it's fun. And they're impossible to actually make WORK pretty much because of all of Bruce's issues. But, on the other hand, Steve is basically the best BF in the history of anything and....

See, I like to pretend that nuDC does not exist and has not happened and never will happen and that, sadly, the entire company stopped publishing everything a little while back. WHAT A TRAGEDY THAT WE'LL NEVER HEAR ABOUT ANY OF THESE MUCH BELOVED CHARACTERS UNLESS THEY DECIDE TO START PUBLISHING AGAIN, RIGHT GUYS? SUCH A PITY THAT THEY'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING THESE DAYS.

I feel like their isolating pretty much every other fanbase, by this point. And I've got like eight younger siblings, most of whom are 13 or younger who I would love to get into comics but it's...difficult. I'm trying though.

The Reboot is so disappointing in so many ways, and it's basically Post-Crisis all over again which...actually a lot of series had rocky starts then (good god was the Flash horrible at first. he won the lottery in the first issue.) so...I'm kind of hopeful it'll get better? Eventually?

Oh I adored Batman/Wonder Woman in the show, not gonna lie, it was so much fun! But that's also my problem with DCAU Wonder Woman in that they didn't seem to know how to write her without Batman around. Three of her villains were featured and two (Circe and Cheetah) were made All About Batman. I love Batman, but yeah...

Diana/Clark just makes me sad, it really does. It's just such lazy writing and such an obvious publicity ploy, and has creepy undertones of them belonging together because otherwise Diana might end up with a man who isn't stronger than her heaven forbid.

See, I am equally torn because Diana/Bruce is amazing but I could never see it with a future, just an amazingly fun and messed up (and blisteringly hot) fling. And Steve is like ninety in DCAU present, and married to someone else Post-Crisis. Sigh.

I genuinely considered that and my pull list sure as hell went down after the Reboot, but the good stuff keeps me hanging in there. Like Batwoman! And Demon Knights, which has an Arab character who is awesome and has depth and is not a villain and has never once been accused of terrorism (not that I'm bitter). And. Hm. Wow, I know I'm following more titles but I'm seriously drawing a blank. Uh. Saint Walker still exists, so that's cool.

it's terrible but I won't lie, I didn't even care about most of the other characters in the books, I just wanted to be best friends with Cinna and hang out and be fabulous all the time, as it is impossible for one not to be fabulous when hanging out with Cinna. This was what disappointed me most about movie Cinna. Movie Cinna seemed very nice, but never seemed ~fabulous~

What really happens is Katniss doesn't end up with Gale cause he's a jerk and doesn't end up with Peeta because he's about 80000 times too good for her and Cinna doesn't die, what really happens is Cinna and Katniss run away together and spend their time frolicing through meadows with flowers and butterflies while Cinna whips together tastefully awesome outfits out of any extra large leaves he sees around. This is what actually happened in canon okay it is sob

I was completely and totally expecting a 'the rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated' scene for about 9/10ths of the book. I didn't even cry, I was expecting it so much. Was crying my eyes out when they started beating him though.
