This is not a love meme, however, that also doesn't mean it is a hate meme. Someone's driving can be good, feel free to say as much! Just try to give them an idea on how.

Also please make sure if you are asking for crit you are also giving it. If everyone only posts for themselves, no one will get any feedback. You don't need to comment to everyone, but we highly encourage everyone to comment to at least three other members with feedback.

I've been struggling with balancing speed and breadth since July, and as such have spent a lot of plots sitting out, including nearly this entire last Arena, which did not feel good to do. I found that not being extremely involved with everything has led to me feeling less motivated to tag here in general, which is a bad cycle to get into. So this is both an HMD and a plotting comment, I guess, because I want to be doing more things so I can stay more engaged.

Other than that, I think everything's going okay. Things have been a little slow for Max here in this last arena, but I've gotten him out a few places. And I think things have picked up with Wesker and Wyatt a bit, which is good.

I've been struggling with trying to keep up speed after having a pretty big burnout last month. Recently got most of my tags up to date, so I hope I'm starting to do better again. Let me know if there's still a problem!

Mostly I'm concerned with Phi and whether or not she sounds IC so far. She's pretty much brand new for me, so I'd really like some feedback on her.

Been dealing with some burnout and being slow with molasses lately, sorry guys. Some of that I'm attributing to school picking up, some to the fact that I've been traveling a bit every week, but eh, we'll see. Hopefully things will calm down soon -- although I am going to Florence in...two days, and in a month or so I'm going to be on vacation for two and a half weeks in the south of Italy.

So I'm not really expecting my speed to pick up until I get back to the states, which is.....immediately before Christmas so.../sobs

Sorry for the slowdown on my part, and the lack of tagging around. I hope I've improved the quality of my tags and catching typos and weird sentence structures as I see them. Speedwise, I hope to improve this month and I'm always open to plotting!

One small thing, but in threads we've done before your tags seem to slip between past and present tense within the same tag often enough. It doesn't hinder my ability to understand the content or anything, but it does make it a little confusing in what tense I'm supposed to reply in and chops at the flow of your words.

My speed has been absolutely terrible lately, I know. I'm struggling a little with motivation especially when it comes to Sam, but I think right now that's because he just has so many more tags than Derek, so when I am able to get 10 or so tags done, I get Derek caught up while Sam's still behind.

Any tips towards managing my tag load would definitely be appreciated.

Overall I've thought quite a bit about what my struggle is, but I'll go into that more on plurk so I don't spam the HMD with a giant comment.

Otherwise I'd love any of the usual things on voice, are my tags engaging enough, etc.

I'm slow, I know. I keep trying to get on top of it and then kinda slipping back. I need to find a way to get more consistent, so if there are suggestions for that, I'll take a look and see what might help.

Otherwise, just general characterization. How am I doing? Is Karkat's development making sense? He's had to learn and adapt with the Capitol watching him, and a lot of hard, depressing stuff has been hitting him lately.

So wow, I have been spinning my wheels and dragging my ass. If anyone has any particular advice for remaining engaged/staying on track/keeping up with the goings on here, please let me know. RL has been weird and other RP commitments suddenly exploded, but I want to keep up with the endgame happenings here.

Aside from that, I'm open to the usual sorts of crit, and I've got HMDs on my character's journals, too!

I only play this guy here, Roland Deschain. Mostly I have been concerned with how to give Roland some kind of overall arc, and I would also love some feedback on his characterization, but I really want to improve in general so please tell me any suggestions you have.

For arc advice, I'd say find a goal for him. It doesn't have to be big, doesn't have to be precise, but something to work towards. For Karkat, for instance, a lot of what's happened to him has come as direct or indirect consequence of trying to... save people, help Panem, and find ways to rebel, without getting offed by the Capitol in the process.

Obviously Roland doesn't have his Tower here to worry about, and has laid down connections in friendly and romantic contexts, and found Alain again. He's been here quite a while, right? Think about what's driving him, and how those drives could extend. What does he want for those people? Would he want to get back to his world? Would he want to stay here? Is he invested in the fate of Panem's people, or the offworlders in general, or even just his circle of CR? Look for opportunities to further what might aid those wants. Find actions that may have consequences. There should be room enough for that with the war coming!

I do have a goal in mind, but getting there is still strange and I'm kind of worried about it, so all this is helpful! It helps to know a few things to think about in regards to how everything in his life might play into getting him there. I've been sort of hoping to get him to a place where he reconsiders whether his tendency to make sacrifices for the sake of a larger goal is really worth it, because he's already uncomfortable with that side of himself. I'll keep all this in mind when I try to consider the next step to try and get him there, and you're right, I think with the war coming that might give me plenty of opportunities to do stuff like that. Thanks! :D

So I'm VERY excited because I've FINALLY cleared away all that other stuff I had to do and can completely dedicate myself to doing the RPs! As of today, I will be catching up on everything, falling back into a system, and looking to branch out CR once more like the good old days. Less tagbombing means more looking over tags for typos and errors, so hopefully that should help that a lot too.

Remember when i hurt my hand in August? Still a thing. I'm so sick of being RP slow as well as irl slow when doing simple tasks, but it's going to continue i guess. I'm as frustrated about my threads as you must be waiting for me to reply, and i'm really sorry. Running around for physical therapy appointments has also eaten up my free time, which has killed most of my drive. I'm a lot happier with Linden since moving him to D13 and I feel like I'm able to give him more agency/make him feel more like his canon self. I've been conscious of it and working on it and I think he's coming into his own after a long time in the Capitol hating life.

The kids aren't as big a deal as their role was relatively small, and even though I'm still wrapping up things (and I'd be happy to start new things if anyone wants a chance to play with them still!) I wanted to say that I really had fun with them and appreciate that I was given that opportunity.
