Arena Update.

The outer ring of the arena is quite suddenly under fire. A deafening cacophony of bombs rain all along the outer edge until there's nothing but rubble. The forcefield creeps inward.

Mask Malfunction

Many of you have donned the masks of heroes, unleashing your power or gaining power new. It's useful, isn't it? Perhaps even worth the pain and the cost in energy. There's a saying about great power, isn't there?

You won't see it coming, not even as the mask it placed over your eyes. It will suddenly start to disintegrate on your skin. Short exposure will drive you to madness. Long exposure will cause death.

Not so super now, are you?

The Forest Speaks

After a long week of nothing, the Capitol is simply dying to hear from you. And after month of being caught up in your own awful little worlds surely you are missing the Capitol.

Should you wander to the beautiful ponds of... what remains of Godswood anyway, you may notice something odd about the water. It shimmers the closer you get until before your eyes is... the Network. You can see whoever you wish to in the Capitol just by asking for them. The only downside is that everything is heard through a watery distortion.

That, and staying too long will make you prey to the roaming beasts.

The Great Flood

The storm collects over the sea but it's not just a flood this time. There's a deathly calm. The dark clouds simply hang there in the sky. It opens up to rain sure enough, but it doesn't open near as much as the waters below. Slowly, in the direct center of the water, a whirpool begins form. Its size grows greater and greater in size. Soon enough, anything caught in the water is sucked into the vortex. Islands crumble and any ship on the water is lost. The sea castle and sea creatures living by it are ripped into the swirl of water and torn up within.

The vicious storm lasts for two days. When it stops, it does so all at once and the water is dispersed over the ruins of the whole arena in a wave, until the whole arena matches the damp center.

Hooray Crazy masks!

Sandy's made liberal use of the masks in the past few weeks, with them she can turn to stone and fight or run away from threats without having to worry about the burns covering half her body. So I expect it wouldn't take much to get her to put a mask on in self defense only to experience it's mind twisting effects.

So anyone want to run into her, either for friendship and poking around the arena or fighting and danger? Anyone want to talk to her over the network?

Offering up a kill - au!Steve's been rolled, if anyone wants to claim him! He's got one injured arm from a bad wolf bite, but he's also carrying a hunting knife and some legit h2h/survival skills, so I'm looking for someone who doesn't mind a fight to take him down.

Ruffnut Thorston

After being chased off of Berk by the rampaging Dragon's Ruffnut's soured on this arena. It's not as much fun anymore. Fresh off of sacrificing Luna to escape a rampaging dragon too.

Still armed with one gun, a couple bullets and her throwing stars she's not totally defenseless but looking to find a new shelter, food, weapons the usual. Anyone interested in running into her for a fight or friendly banter?

Roland's available to kill people

I would love to do anything so if anyone wants to do stuff hit me up (capitol people too since there's a network thing available now), but what I'm most looking for is someone for Roland to kill, preferably in a more morally grey situation than simple self defense against an enemy. I'm just looking for a kind of murder he might regret, especially if he kills someone who will die permanently but also just killing either a friend or someone who didn't really want to fight him.

I'm trying to put him in a situation where he has to choose some kind of greater good (including just surviving for the sake of his loved ones) but at a cost that kind of makes him doubt whether he should have done it. This cost could be as simple as just killing an innocent or friendly person with a kind of traumatic death, I'm open to plotting and working with whatever anyone needs so long as Roland regrets doing it for some reason.

Karkat's open plotting-wise this week! He'll be running around doing what he can to survive, avoiding the bombs and then the flood as well as he can. If anyone would like to do something with either of those events, hit me up!

Also, I'd love for the network thing to come into play. Would anyone who's out in the Capitol want to talk to him this week?

Aang (available to kill things!)

Aang is going to use the mask to help himself survive the fire and floods, and it's going to make him go full Rabidtar on everyone. This means lots of property damage, fancy bending, scary glowy children, and death.

If Aang's not bought out, I'm going to have the mask kill him after his rampage runs its course. He will be horrified when it's all over and everyone who's killed will get a personal apology. Who wants him?

Arya Stark

Arya has fled into the forest after the destruction of Winterfell. She'll be sticking to the Godswood and I'm planning to put up a post of her contacting the Capitol. She blames herself for Sansa's death and isn't taking that well. She's available to kill people if needed!

Re: Arena Plotting

Let me know if there are any rebel things anyone in the Capitol would like to (indirectly) tell Psii now that network communication is up. Even though he did the last anon hacker post, it was scheduled ahead of time to post while he's in the arena, so he's in the dark about whatever anyone talked about. Also he may simply want to check who made it back alive.

Psii's going to be freaking out hardcore at the flooding. Land dwelling trolls like him have a deeply ingrained mistrust of whatever might be lurking in large bodies of water. Want to join him in a mad rush for high ground?

I'm also down for his mask driving him mad with fear. Lots of snarling, flailing, and believing everyone is out to kill him! Please disarm him of his shitty makeshift knifespear thing and sit on his nerdy ass until he calms down (spoilers, he won't until the end of the arena). Or, trying and failing to talk him down could be a network interaction as well for people in the Capitol.
