Arena Update.

A Plague On Both Your Houses
Thought the rats were bad before with their sickness inducing bites? While now they're worse. They've become more aggressive, more frantic and they're not the only things spreading disease in the arena now.

A spectral horse, sickly, bones sticking out of its hide wanders the arena. Everywhere it goes things die, plants and animals both. All those outside food supplies are about to get spoiled rotten, so maybe Tribute's will want to gather what they can. Those who are wounded this week will find themselves getting infections no matter how well they cleaned and bandaged their wounds. Others will break out in sores and boils, horrible fevers that cause vivid hallucinations that nothing, not even those blessed with healing powers can counteract. As the week passes on, illness will quickly become more and more unbearable.

Within the castle, by the end of the week, sharp-eyed Tributes may notice a change to the crests. Rust seems to have taken over the corners and one of the words of its slogan has changed. Sacrificium has become Pestilentia.

Come Seek Us Where Our Voices Sound...
The plague has settled in. Some of you have allies in need of help. Some of you need it for yourselves. The point is, you need a cure and the Gamemakers are offering it. Those characters who are signed up OOCly will receive a note IC telling them that they can find a cure to all their ailments if they follow instructions.

Tributes will be directed to the bay where, upon the shore, several locked chests sit with two names upon each. They are weighted down and so too heavy to lift. They will require keys, but only one of each pair will get it successfully. The Sirens will want payment in blood for the gift they seek to bestow. The losing half of the pair will be killed and then dragged off by the Siren in exchange for the key. The winning half of the pair will unlock their chest to find food, water, and medicine.

If there are any attempts to trick the Sirens or escape without having completed the deal, the Sirens will become enraged and kill both of the pair.

Those who decide to participate must sign up by Wednesday June 24th at 11:59pm Eastern time. Those who sign up will then be assigned a target to go after on the shores. If you choose to participate, your Tribute will have a 50% chance of death with no buy-out option. However, if your character survives, they will have access to all the treasures promised them by the Sirens.

Dubious Dining
Wednesday's dawn brings the filling of the Banquet table. But something's not quite right this week. While the food is plentiful, filling up the whole of the table, not all of it is... fresh. Some of the foods are host to buzzing insects. The breads have grown mold, dairy has gone sour. The smell of it all is, to say the least, quite bad. The Avoxes seem even more tense and nervous than usual, standing off to the sides, as though expecting violent retaliation for the poor service. Tributes have a choice; take the risk with the food presented to them or try their luck again next week. Those feasting have until sundown.

Ruffnut's fever is back in full force along with some sores and her infected burn wounds. To make matters worse she's gotten a bit into her hallucinations so prepare for some Viking Science

This will probably involve trying to light various things on fire just to see what happens, throwing things at the spectral horse, including the diseased rats.

I am open to other suggestions of "Science" She can attempt. Possibly in ways that could injure or kill other tributes.

Powers RNG are based on chance of injury. There will be an instance of the Gamemakers punishing them regardless, but it may not necessarily hurt them. First try is a 20 of 100 chance of injury. Second is 40 of 100, third is 60, fourth is 80 (at which point it caps out). Second tries and on also include a chance of death that increases in percentile per usage. Be aware of what your power may cost.
