D13 mission plot post

The first D13 Mission is up, brought to you by DREAM TECH. This mission is most certainly a trial run, but the Soldiers will be judged harshly for the choices they make.

Doing well ensures reward and privilege, poor performance ensures punishment. Characters can die in this scenario as they will wake up exactly as they fell asleep, if not a little rattled from the dream.

Please read the plot post before you begin plotting here.

Characters with guns:
Lady Sif
Carlos
Joan
Hannah
Cecil
Characters with med kits:
Albert
Hannah
Punchy
Wyatt
Characters with rope and ice picks:
Joan
Wyatt
Characters with nothing:
Thor
Bucky

Remember, as a trial mission success is not necessarily the only option. There can be total failure if that seems like the most appealing outcome, so make sure to weigh in with your opinion on that when you begin to plot.

Albert Heinrich

Albert is used to taking charge in these sorts of situations. He will likely defer to someone he knows also has experience if they make it clear they're taking charge (in this case, probably only Thor). If allowed to take charge himself, he'll prioritize the following.

The first thing Albert will be concerned with is very quickly shuffling supplies to people who are better equipped to use them. He'd likely try to hand off his med kit to Joan to swap for her gun if she'll allow it (ie: if that's cool with you, Kit) since that's where their strengths lie. If this takes more than a couple minutes, he won't press the issue and instead will attempt to divide everyone into teams, at least one of each set of supplies to each team, as well as he can.

Next the goals. Albert would probably approach the mission as needing to stop the train. In order to do that, he'd likely send a team or two through the train itself and another group out the windows to climb up onto the train's roof and make their way to the front car. If they're unable to take down the engineer alive (probably no talking due to time constraints, just a jump in and subdue sort of deal if possible, death if not), the plan is to uncouple the engine car to slow the rest of the train so the civilians and 13ers can escape. Any resistance from Peacekeepers will have to be met with firepower.

OF COURSE I don't expect anyone to actually listen to Albert so a lot of arguing and stuff could happen to. His priority personally will be evacuating the civilians, but he'll be willing to fulfill whatever role so long as he's certain that that's happening, including taking on armed peacekeepers in order to distract them from rebels aiming to get through.

I'm pretty much down for whatever, that's just the initial idea I had. I don't expect them to start working as a unit on the first run through and I kind of like the idea of them all failing because of difficulties working together and not knowing each others strengths and weaknesses (and having grudges too...)

I would love Thor defer charge to Albert listen and obey and then absolutely crumble in front of him once they get to civilians or hostiles. HE IS WITH YOU AT LEAST 85% OF THE WAY until he gets cagey and freaks out.

[personal profile] silberfuchs 2015-04-15 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Ahaaaa yes ok. Though I think Albert might end up half letting Bucky lead because they don't really have a lot of time to argue, but since Bucky (and Hannah?)'s priorities are the engineer and Albert's (and Thor's as you said) will be civilians, I think they'll split up p. fast.

Works for me! He trusts Albert enough to follow his lead since he most likely won't handle this very well.

Wyatt Earp

[personal profile] the_marshal 2015-04-15 11:02 am (UTC)(link)
This is pretty much Wyatt's immediate plan of action too. Especially if Albert obviously keen on helping the civilians, Wyatt will feel comfortable carrying on to the driver's car/fighting.

How you feel bout team up, Albert?

Re: Wyatt Earp

[personal profile] silberfuchs 2015-04-15 01:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Totally down! They'll have to figure out there are civilians first, lol, but Albert knows Wyatt is a sharpshooter after seeing him at the firing booth at Kevin's crowning, so he'll try and suggest Wyatt get a gun and maybe try to protect the group that's not going over the train from the peacekeepers as they attempt to make it through to civilians?

Or something like that. I'm not sure how they're gonna know icly that there are civilians to rescue.

[personal profile] the_marshal 2015-04-16 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I assume they won't probably won't know until they progress that far through the train. Then it'll be: do we stay and help these people/spend time subduing the aggressive ones? Or do we just leave them/kill them and move on?
silberfuchs: (Default)

[personal profile] silberfuchs 2015-04-16 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
No killing unless necessary for self preservation, according to Albert. He'll probably want to split up or something, though it depends on where they are with the peacekeeper car and the engine.
the_marshal: (wyattWorried)

[personal profile] the_marshal 2015-04-16 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Birds of a feather, Al. That's pretty much Wyatt's stance as well.

The Bucky/Hannah duo have expressed interest in Wyatt joining them on to the engine, so splitting up could totally work I think.

I imagine the following: After a shirt mess of confusion, they discover the peacekeepers in the car ahead. Albert suggests taking them from two sides, one group going over the top of the train (generally made up of heavier adult men) and force them into surrender or trap them in crossfire in the resulting firefight. I expect they'll fight and the 13 group may suffer casualties.

After that's dealt with, the 13ers find the civilians. Short on time, Bucky, Hannah, and Wyatt head to the engine to try and stop the train while the rest deal with ornery civilians and potentially uncouple the car if Bucky's group takes too long.

Omg, Wyatt would so not be here for cutting the rest of the 13ers loose. I see demerits coming the marshal's way.

Bucky Barnes

[personal profile] hollowvictor 2015-04-15 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
So, with nothing in his hands, Bucky's probably going to try and take charge because that's his 'normal position' in missions even if this isn't a normal mission. He'd be expecting everyone to fight the peacekeepers and will end up largely ignoring the civilians with simply an order for whoever's left to take care of them.

My only real goal in this is to see how the characters react to Bucky taking charge ICly and then to have him storm the engine room with Hannah....only to tragically fall to his death in the resulting fight with the driver. I'm open to any and all ideas beyond this tbh.

Thor Odinson

[personal profile] worldsaway 2015-04-15 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
Thor opts naturally to being a leader, but in a situation like this with his state of mind he's probably more liable to let someone else take control. He'll comply and follow orders without much argument, particularly since he has nothing of use in his hands. He's definitely willing to fight through peacekeepers and take them on.

That said, the higher the stakes get the more likely it is that he'll freak out a little. He'll be doing his best to save civilians, but if they get hostile it will take a toll on him. I am down for him to get into arguments about morality and leadership, for him to get rough with people and I would love for him to die.

He will most likely get shot by a peacekeeper trying to protect someone else, if anyone is down for that.

Hannah Megido

[personal profile] f0rthereaping 2015-04-15 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
Hannah's not sure why she got a medkit but she has zero interest in beings anyone's healer. She also doesn't give much a damn about civilians. Or you. Any of you.

She may actively ignore most of the team and will only go along with whoever's in charge if she believes it serves her. She may also well steal a rope and ice pick if any of those who have one let her, if not just abandon the medkit. Otherwise she'll be going in on her own, or possibly with Bucky if that manages to work out. She will not hesitate to kill. She probably will hesitate to stop the train though.

Get mad at her? Fight? I'm all ears for whatever people want.

[personal profile] hollowvictor 2015-04-15 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
Talking with Reiko, it sounds like Bucky's probably going to ask to have Hannah go with him because he knows she can handle herself. Would she go with him in that case? :|a

[personal profile] f0rthereaping 2015-04-15 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I figure she would. If it means she doesn't have to stick around bandaging people what the hell, all the better.

[personal profile] the_marshal 2015-04-15 11:09 am (UTC)(link)
While Wyatt won't necessarily be gunning (lol, fun with puns) for a leadership role, he will take one if it doesn't seem like anyone else is stepping up/knows what they're doing. His immediate concern will be rearranging supplies to those who can actually use them (i.e., he will be interested in trading his ice-pick to someone who is uncomfortable with a gun). Then he'll want to progress through the train as quickly and carefully as possible, with the goal of the driver's cab in mind. He will have no qualms taking down the driver if he is threatening, same with the Peacekeepers on the way. He will try to disable, rather than kill, but he'll do what he has too.

The civilians in need of help will give him pause, but if there are others interested in helping, he won't have a problem dividing the team: with some staying to offer assistance, and the rest moving on to stop the train.

Wanna storm the engine room with Hannah and Bucky, Wyatt? Bucky actually trusts Wyatt's judgement and his abilities for the most part.

Joan Watson

[personal profile] formersurgeon 2015-04-15 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Joan will give her gun to someone who knows how to use it better than she does (ie Albert or Wyatt) and will take a med kit in exchange. But she's not going to be spending all her time babysitting citizens. She will stabilize them, get them in the most secure situation possible (under the seats, maybe?) and then help figure things out. She is definitely not above using that ice pick and rope for off-label purposes (aka braining hostiles and tying people up).

Them's my thoughts.

ETA: Oh, and Joan will defer to someone else as the over-all leader and the leader of the fighting, but she'd probably step in when it comes to the medical issues and figuring out non-fighting stuff.

Punchy, on the opposite of all these mofos, is uncooperative and will probably try and lead and be a spiteful tool if people don't follow his orders! He'll be all about protecting civilians though. I'm feeling a bit guilty jumping into this so late, so I'm willing to go along with any plans people have!

I'm sure Albert will argue with him for half a second before trying to shut him down and get on with things. I don't expect Punchy to be too happy with that though.

Sure, that could work! If Hannah would intervene.
