HOW'S MY DRIVING?

Anonymous comments have been enabled in the OOC community to allow anonymous criticism, however IP logging is enabled. The mods will not be checking the IP-addresses unless things get out of hand somehow.

This is not a love meme, however, it's definitely not a hate meme either. Harassment will not be tolerated, please report any incidents to the moderators. Feedback of all kinds is encouraged. Participation in this HMD is not mandatory, however starting in January, all players must participate twice a year. We also highly encourage everyone to comment to at least three other members with feedback.

Just a small thing, but to me the choice for a sexual arousal option with the pollen in the recent arena event seemed like a really odd thing to include. The Games isn't a sex game, obviously, and while I'm sure the Capitol likes personal drama and romance and so on, it just kind of felt incongruous.

(That said, I know it's only an option, not forced, and it wouldn't have affected my character anyway since Karkat was out of the arena well before then.)

I know firstly I've been really, really slow. It's not an issue of interest in the game, the character, or taking on too much; motivation has just been finicky and weird and I'm not really sure how to make it behave. I've been enjoying Roland's thread with Arya, but a couple of times it's seemed like they would have had more to talk about if she had mentioned a little bit of what's going through her mind. Maybe some small comment from the moment when she thinks about how the deer looks compared to the other dead bodies she's seen, or when she thinks about missing her weapon from her world and feeling defenseless without it. They do already have the deer preparing to give them something to do throughout the thread, but learning about each other would give them something to talk about while they do that.

I've been trying to find things for Roland to mention that might help them get a conversation going, but it can be tricky to find IC small talk for a character as down-to-business as he is. I get the feeling from Arya that she can be the same way, but I thought I'd leave you a comment here anyway. I haven't left feedback often, so feel free to ask about anything I didn't explain well, or anything like that.

I know you've acknowledged speed here, but I have to admit it's been really hard to get things going with you for the past few months. I don't see much of Clara or Darcy around and when I do it's usually about ten or so days late. There are a few things we've discussed doing that have fallen through because posts never went up or tags were never responded to.

Obviously I'm slow myself so I understand the delay from time to time, but often it feels like you're the first to hit me up on plurk and the last person to tag me when it comes to plotting. In this case I'd say my critique is less about speed and more about follow through.
