District 13 General Plotting Post

Since District 13 is completely separate from the Capitol and functions as it's own thing for now, I thought it might be time we had our own plotting post. There aren't a lot of people right now, but that doesn't mean we can't do our own thing within the constraints of the setting.

If you have any short term ideas, maybe some new weapon you want your character to learn or fighting style or technology or simply something new, this is the place to express that and then maybe find someone whose character can facilitate it happening. If you have some sort of character arc or development you want to work on, share it with everyone! Maybe someone will be interested and like to help you see it happen. Or maybe you just think it'd be cool if Character A threaded with Character B but you don't know when or where or about what? This is the place to put it! Remember, this is not just for small interactions or just long term goals, it is for both.

Below is the form from the usual plotting meme, but altered for our use. Feel free to use it or simply go freeform if that would allow you to get your ideas out better. Here is the District 13 info for anyone who needs a refresher.

<b>Character:</b> <b>Skills your character has:</b> Military training, tech-savvy, excellent at laundry, this can be literally anything. **Please note if any of these would be skills District 13 might find notable and/or effect your character's contribution to 13's society <b>Skills your character might want to learn:</b> Maybe they want to learn how to fight with a bo staff, maybe they just want to learn how to draw. This can be anything. <b>Basic personality:</b> <b>What has happened to them recently? What can they usually be found doing during their free time or during structured time?:</b> Give a brief summary of what they have been doing. How well are they transitioning to the new setting? Do they watch the Games? Do they hole up in their rooms at night or do they wander around? This is the place to catch everyone up! <b>Upcoming plots, wanted CR or other things to note about this character:</b> Anything that might grab someone, or they can get involved with, or pretty much anything that could spark CR that didn't fall into the above.

Note: This meme is open to anyone currently in 13 and anyone about to come into 13 after this current arena is over. Please also note that Jade (viperous) is available as an npc to facilitate plots if anyone thinks they might need her for an idea.

Hunting Plotting

This is a separate plotting comment for the hunting log that will be going up on Monday. (Even if all the details haven't been ironed out yet, there's no 'being late' to the log, so if you need to delay tagging in, that's perfectly okay.)

Characters will be allowed to roam relatively freely with only a time limitation on their activities. Characters will be encouraged to go in groups of at least two, so use this section to find your 'hunting buddy' and maybe plan a little trip.

For the characters who needed to learn how to hunt, they're free to latch onto someone who knows what they're doing and learn from them (if they're willing to teach) or Bucky will be sticking close to base and teaching anyone who wants to stay with him.

Yay! Thank you for the post, and glad to see the hunt is coming! :)

Joan has no particular experience with hunting, but she's a quick study, and would appreciate any instruction.

Hannah's going to be taking to the trees, something almost close to happy. She's a former District Seven kid and is going to be zooming right up there. Buuut she still needs someone to teach her how to use a spear and bow and arrow. She'll look to anyone who can.

Wyatt will be rolling his eyes at the fact they aren't allowed guns,... but he won't be wasting his time on the surface. He knows how to track, trap, and clean game so if anyone wants a guiding hand there, he's your man.

I thought she might. :D In trade, would she perhaps be willing to pass on some medical skills? He knows the basics after being here this long, but maybe for more serious stuff?

He has the very real fear of watching people he loves die simply because he doesn't know what to do.
