HOW'S MY DRIVING?

Reminder: Beginning in January 2015, all players must post to the Games' HMD at least once every six months, either using this HMD post as an HMD, or by commenting with a link to your private HMD or preferred method of contact. This is now a non-negotiable aspect of the game going forward.

You may have your own private post available in your journal, or on your journal simply clarify the method of which you feel most comfortable being contacted for feedback (IM, PM, etc.) You need not allow anon, however you must provide a way people can contact you. 

Anonymous comments have been enabled in the OOC community to allow anonymous criticism, however IP logging is enabled. The mods will not be checking the IP-addresses unless things get out of hand somehow.

This is not a love meme, however, it's definitely not a hate meme either. Harassment will not be tolerated, please report any incidents to the moderators. Feedback of all kinds is encouraged, and we highly encourage everyone to comment to at least three other members with feedback.

Please feel free to state your preferences in regards to anonymous feedback, or if you'd prefer to be contacted via PM or a personal HMD.

Hey guys, just figure that I'd register here that I really wish you'd change the no-buyouts part of the Cornucopia. I think it's kind of wrongheaded since Arenas happen so infrequently and you're rolling for death. Even if the rule got grandfathered in, it was being grandfathered in from a time when we weren't actually rolling for death, or way back in the day when Arenas and downtime were extremely short. It's been very unpleasant both times to have to consider whether all my plans are going to get scrapped for the next 3 months between Arenas based on the Cornucopia risk. As for the Cornucopia having to be a bloodbath, that's what the dropped characters list is for.

I'm pulling mine out this time, but I really hope you guys consider changing this policy. It seems like an unnecessary attempt to place the fidelity of the setting above the playability of the game.

I am never not impressed by how you handle yourself and your battalion of characters. You've got five different people, different voices and motivations and goals, sometimes even more, plus yourself, and yet you're always the first to tag out. To come up with an idea. To plot into the wee hours.

It's exhausting and amazing to watch.

Courfeyrac's one year anniversary in The Games was yesterday, so he's been around awhile and knows the score. Felicity's one year is coming up later this month. Megan came in in October and I'm really pleased with how she's settling in. Basically I'm happy with the trajectory of all three of them. I don't know quite what to say other than I'm content and stable with them.

Jessica has been in game since last February and I feel a bit burnt out with her. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with her, but she's been on a negative arc since about May and it's worn me down. I may be dropping her, at least temporarily, or turning her into an NPC for awhile. Jade will be transitioning into a mod NPC position later this month, once the Carlos-Punchy-Marius rescue logs are wrapped up. She will still be available if you need her, but initially she was going to just be an NPC anyway and now she will be as she was intended. You can still contact the mods or PM me if you need her for threads or a plot.

Jennifer I'm having a blast with. My apologies for being slow with her latest open log. I wasn't at all expecting the responses I got and I'm incredibly delighted. Sergius I just brought in this week and I'm over the moon happy with how he's been received. Riding the new character high with him right now.

Sergius is a riot and I love how quickly his and Bucky's thread turned around there and I love their CR already. From hilarity to all the feels in the space of a couple tags, I applaud you, he's just plain fantastic.

Brand, shiny, new character this time around in Treveylan, and I'm super nervous about him. I think I'm finally starting to settle into him, but, lol, well, that's just me.

Otherwise I have nothing critical to say. You have an evenly played Bucky playing to his strengths and weaknesses equally, what I have seen with Clem I can easily say the same thing, you make her cheerful and friendly but you also know when she should be scared and show it in the right situations.

I obviously completely dropped the ball with Joel in December, between various things. Working on picking back up with him and trying to get some stuff going - he's a bit of a death seeker with Ellie gone (though hopefully she'll be coming back soon, which might alter his outlook again)!

Now here's a list of things I already know I need to work on. Feel free to comment or add to the pile and I'll do my best.

I can begin by apologizing for my spelling mistakes and grammar errors. I am always trying to be better about this but sometimes I get too excited to tag things quickly and don't proofread. I promise to make more of an effort there. I should also probably stop tagging things with my phone at work because the autocorrect screws up alot of words.

I do my best to never drop tags so if it's been a few days since I've responded to you please don't be afraid to poke me. I'll appreciate the reminder especially if my Email lost the tag.

With Sandy: I feel like she bounces a lot between being a angsty kid and a bitter trying to be teenager. This is me trying to find that sweet spot between all the trauma and experiences she's had and that perpetual childhood she's stuck in.I hope it doesn't come off as inconsistant but it's a concern I have.

With Harley: I've not had too many chances to really show off her cunning manipulation skills, and because of how uptight the Capitol has been since Penny's murder her crazy silliness has been toned down too. I need to work on both of those.

With Azula: Same as Harley actually, the opportunity to be manipulative hasn't really presented itself. If I were a smarter person maybe I could create those sorts of situations naturally but it's not been working out so far.

Last but not least, I get excited and post into threads when I feel inspired. If I've ever done anything that made you uncomfortable, overstepped, or made some kind mistake I assure you if you point it out to me I will correct it quickly. I may not take roleplaying very seriously, but I think we should all be enjoying ourselves.

I can't really comment on anyone but Sandy. But I do have this to say about her.

I've had four threads with her personally and I've noticed that it's a pattern she has woth other adult characters where she is saying pretty much the same thing each time. At least at it's bare bones.

Which is basically "I'm weak. I hate being weak. How do I not be weak."

I mean she's at the right age for angst and all but for someone who's been in the game so long that it seems weird that she's being something of a broken record.

Quite frankly, I am getting tired of her, and as I say every time, I need her to change - and I am slowly working on this. Eponine's had a lot of set backs recently, especially through Eva's death, but I am hoping to make this positive in the very near future.
I often phone tag as well, and spelling mistakes do creep in because of little touch-button things and my clumsy fingers. I am trying to keep an eye on this!

If you're more comfortable, I am fairly certain Eps has a HMD on her journal, or you can shoot me a PM or a ping on plurk (pierette).

I agree Eponine needs to change. Unfortunately, from what I've seen, she's had ample opportunities to do so but it's not being played. It might be a good idea to have some goals in mind for her, as in where you want her to head or what habits she should break, and make plans to specifically facilitate that. You clearly know Eponine's character inside and out and I have full faith that you can find a way to plan her changing, you just need to know what that change is and where it will take her development-wise and then follow through.

I don't know if this was a one off or not, I haven't stalked your threads however I do have a note about when you last tagged in Tony.

You had Albert playing a piano in the tribute common while Tony was in there but ultimately there was no hook/draw for interaction. As Tony was looking for people he would have been more inclined to have walked right past Albert and his piano.

I know it's not a major problem, and I know as a mod you have a lot to do as well as real life, but drawless tags can be hard to cause a smooth transition for some characters.
