Arena Update.

Achy Breaky Heart
On Sunday night, some Tributes may find that they are experiencing severe heartburn.  In fact, anyone who has been partaking in the dehydrated food will feel an uncomfortable fullness in their guts.  For some, the discomfort will pass in a few hours, but for others, they may feel like they're about to burst.  And they are!  Surprise, Tributes!  You got chestbursters!  Not everyone whose eaten the food will find themselves exploding with alien offspring, but some unlucky souls might just find themselves bursting at the seams!

It's full on Xenomorph time, everyone!  Once the first round of chestbursters explode from inside of your fellow Tributes, the Xenomorph mutts lurking throughout the space station will launch an all out assault on any and all Tributes unlucky to cross their paths.  These suckers are nasty, and they have a taste for blood.  Troubling still... they seem to be multiplying like crazy.  It is still possible to avoid them, but it's going to take effort and a lot of hiding.

BRUCE = THE HULK AND YOU!

Bruce has been rolled to die. How is that going to happen? He’s finally leaving what’s left of the Avengers to fend for themselves because he’s going to be having a weaker hold on his control, and he’s going to be going down to the basement to finally lose his temper. What does that mean?

Bruce is officially Hulking out this week.

What does that mean? That means that there will be a giant indestructible green monster rampaging through the arena. He will break, crush, and murder anything in his path. Any attempt to hurt or impede him only gets him angrier. Any wound he suffers is healed. He cannot be reasoned with, calmed, or overpowered. Your only hope is to either hide from him, have someone else distract him away from you, never get noticed, or try to outsmart him.

The Hulk is available to kill anyone. Due to Bruce’s fracturing and paranoid state of mind, the Hulk will not discriminate between people who try to help him, people who try to hurt him, and people Bruce normally cares very deeply about. He won’t discriminate based on age, race, or gender either. He will kill whatever he’s given the opportunity to kill, because right now, he’s a reflection of how Bruce feels everyone and everything is a threat. He will die by the end of this: a team could punch a hole out of the station’s hull and have him sucked out into the vacuum of space, or he could accidentally do it himself, depending on if anyone wants to be part of his death. Any different attempt at murdering him, whether with weapons or drowning or whatever, will only get him angrier, because he has an extreme enough healing factor that he can survive anything from a bullet to the brain to a 30,000 foot fall.

Also, his blood is so radioactive that contact means instant acute radiation poisoning. So if you see green blood lying around… don’t touch it.

He is available for deaths, close calls, and anyone who wants to try to kill him. I'm all ears.

Of course, this is presumably happening only in a part of the arena, so if you want nothing to do with this, the worst your character will probably hear would be a lot of ominous roaring from elsewhere. To everyone else: who wants to play with the Other Guy?

oh gosh I would love for the Hulk to kill Annabeth, if that's alright? She'd could be one of the ones who'd try to reason with him/outsmart him and fail, for sure.

Getting to fight The Hulk would be an amazing thing. Haruto's a big dumb transforming superhero and if he really goes all out could survive tangling with him for a bit. Just a bit. My plans aren't super-set yet but either Haruto can run into the big guy, fight a bit, and bail but but beaten up and weakened and easy for someone else to pick off... or, if you need someone to blow that hole in the hull, he's got the firepower to make it happen if no one else does.

Wanna kill a cyborg? Albert, being a big damn hero himself, would likely try and lead Hulk away from anywhere he knows other Tributes are holed up using himself as bait. He can probably survive for a short while vs Hulk enough to do that, being fully cybernetic, so I'm thinking he manages to get Hulk away some measure, then the hull breachs (either by Hulk or by other Tributes setting a trap) and then Albert at least gets knocked out, sucked into space, and the wakes up back in the Capitol.

He's bound to be more reckless since Jet died last week so anything else you wanna try with this or anything you want to tweak and I'm all ears.

Ruffnut // District 7 // come kill the viking and win a portal gun!

So here's what Ruffnut's been up to.

With her one arm [her right arm was bitten off by Charlie] and her two Personaorbs [Hiccup and Astrid] she's been wandering around trying to figure out how to make the machines blow up on purpose.

When Aang lost control and was Avatar smashing up the place Ruff threw one of the Personaorbs [Hiccup] and smashed him in the head.

Since Aang had killed Cassian and Cassian had a key to the portal cage, he dropped the key and Ruff found it laying nearby.

SO! This week I want to send Ruff into the bowels of the station because she's the kind of girl who would explore dark creepy dangerous places. Along the way she'll find the portal guns, but unlocking the cage makes enough noise that aliens show up so she'll have to run or get hurt badly...OR she can sacrifice a tribute who's with her and use them to cover her escape.

After that we mess around with the portal gun and either your character kills her...or it malfunctions and slices her in half.

DANDY MOTT

SO this is Dandy's first arena and he's desperate to impress the Capitol by providing some glorious murder. If anyone needs to die, Dandy is willing to make that happen. COME AT ME

As far as non-murderous plotting goes, he'd also pretend to be a good ally if it meant getting food and protection. Or if anyone entertains him enough that he finds them fun to hang out with.

Felicity isn't rolled to die this week, but she's going to need another ally since most of hers are dead now. Maybe a team up?

Bucky Barnes

Bucky still lives and is going to start being more aggressive as the arena and loss of friends get to him.

He's available to kill characters (so long as they're not allies or children) and he can also provide rescues if anyone wants them. Otherwise he's going to be killing a lot of Xeno's this week.

Roland isn't the type to outright kill another tribute without provocation, but there are plenty of ways it could happen even if he has positive CR with your character. And what better way to make a first impression on somebody then to... kill them?

By virtue of his slight psychicness and with mod approval Roland's been avoiding the dried food (he doesn't know why, it just feels very funky and not right to him), but chestbuster shenanigans would be fun. And he hasn't killed a mutant dog since back in his first arena, so maybe it's about time for that too.

Anything else? I'm up for whatever, and always on the hunt for new CR of any kind.

Haruto Soma | District 11 | Let's do something flashy!

Haruto's number is up, and he's gonna die this week! I'd like him to go down fighting, if at all possible, though my heart is not set on any particular sort of end for him just yet. Going with a point form of stuff I want to do before he croaks:

- Haul out his big shiny final transformation and fight something impressive
- Get into a stupid discussion or two with some personorbs
- Get lured in by c-BOT12 calling out like someone he knows from home

Between blowing all his mana and possibly getting trapped/maimed by c-BOT12, just about anyone might be able to pick him off. It's wide open! And what better way to make new CR then by meeting someone and then getting killed by them? Good times.

Brock Samson

AS ALWAYS, let Brock kill your guys. He's really good at it.

Otherwise, xenomorphs! Brock will be down for killing Aliens aliens in a super glorious cavalcade of like acid blood and screeching. Come along. He has a taser you can use.

Also, Brock has white portal gel. I am totally down for anyone trying to take it from him because lbr he doesn't even know what it does.

Nitou

So Haruto is going to be dying this week, which means Nitou will grow a bit more reckess and, more importantly, have no one to hold him back and stop him from trying to eat other magical people (or at least their magic, not that Nitou talks about it that way).

I'd also really love for him to get into a fight bad enough that it forces him to transform into Kamen Rider Beast, because he's been trying to conserve his mana where that's concerned. Doesn't have to result in injury or death for your character (I'm up for Nitou getting hurt), just a ridiculous superhero fight.

Sam lives for one more week! But he's lost his infirmary partner to the Hulk so he's super not a happy camper. Especially if he sees and/or hears about Venus dying.

He's still available for team ups, rescues, first aid, or fighting, if anyone wants him! And I also kind of want him to kill someone, though that one's harder because he probably won't go after anyone who doesn't try to hurt him or one of his friends first.

OKAY SO this guy just got in game, and I haven't intro'd him into the arena yet, but if I do an open log, would anyone be interested? He has no problem with killing someone, but he's also good for a team up, even if it's for a little bit of time. Especially if it's to fight against the mutts, this is the one guy who might go after them just because he can!

Right! Diving in. This jerk's newly tossed into the Arena and he needs to meet some people. He's probably not going to be trying to kill anybody unless they try to kill him first, but he's on board for teaming up, either just for a fight or on a longer term basis. Open to any and all ideas!

For Tributes entering the arena - do they come up inside, or is there a box waiting for them outside, or are the airlocks already open, or...?

I wanted to ask some stuff before I officially posted a thing and I figured this is the best place to do so. Anywho.

Same question as the dude above. New tributes arriving in the arena, will there be a key for them or should Gabe just sit there and be very cross with the world? I'm up for either.

Next, powers. We had Gabe's powers come back halfway in a previous arena. The one with the car garage and the masks where he blew up a whole floor and there was lava and it was crazy. Anyway, I'm wanting to know, again, the extent of his powers. I'm sure you guys don't want him going nuts and destroying everything and everyone, so I'll keep my requests simple. Can he: teleport/fly? hear prayers? touch a thing and kill it? deafen/blind someone? heal? create illusions? use telekinesis? do any special shizzwaz?

I'm not even going to ask if he's immune to being killed or can create food or whatever. Where's the fun in that? Happy Holidays, mods.
