Arena Update.

Week Seven

As the Arena draws to a close, the animatronics on the first floor begin playing a song for every fallen Tribute, although they don't really announce what's for whom. After something has been played for each dead competitor, the animatronics...explode.

Violently, and suddenly. Shrapnel flies the entire length of the first floor, and most of the arcade catches fire. Sprinklers go off, and after a few hours they quell the flames, but there's significant damage to life. And potentially limb. One bear's head, not entirely destroyed, still mouths the words to 'The Final Countdown' and silently stares up at the ceiling.

Also, the third floor of the Arena has toxic concrete fumes.

Capitol Plotting

Bruce Banner

Bruce is coming from a very successful blackout where he planted surveillance on Capitol citizens, and he now has all the passwords to the Capitol's own security grid. Meaning that the Capitol's eyes and ears are now his as well.

He's not going to risk telling anyone this until he's had a chance to mentally map out all the Capitol's blind spots and he's decided how he wants to deal with the information, since he doesn't want to tell everyone and risk someone, accidentally or otherwise, tipping off the Capitol. Until the next Lonestar post, he'll probably just quietly be watching the Capitol's surveillance and maybe slip the passwords to one or two people he trusts implicitly.

This will also involve moderate spying on his fellow tributes to get a sense of who can be trusted and who can't be. Major violation of privacy? Absolutely, but desperate times and measures and all that. If it makes people feel better, he'll avoid eavesdropping on conversations that have nothing to do with the rebellion or the Capitol. Who wants to be spied on?

Astrid Hofferson

Just generally frustrated with her death in the arena and just things in general, Astrid will possibly end up accidentally getting caught up in drinking that she somehow ends up wanting to send Thor all the alcohol in the world and spend watching the last week of the arena letting loose.

So who wants to join in drunken shenanigans with Astrid and possibly others?

So Pruna is back in the Capitol and is confused and angry as usual and also scared though she will never admit it ever. She will be spending a lot of the time glued to the screen watching Sandy.

So apparently Clara's going to be rocking the eyepatch for good from now on winning this shit, so! Who wants to be accidentally killed by her or self-defensed to death? Alternatively, anyone want to pal around with her for a while?

Aang

Aang is deaf, bruised, punctured, and seriously frustrated by how the whole explosion thing did nothing to get them out of the arena. In retrospect, maybe it wasn't the most thought-out plan, but he saw no one else trying to get out.

But on the plus side, he has lots and lots of colorful balloons. He played with these balloons a little, but then his last friend died and now he's going to really try to not be murdered. He'll fill the balloons up with air and room temp oil to throw on the ground if someone comes at him with intent to harm. Then he will flee. If they slip and crack their head open on the floor or go down the escalator, he won't consider himself to have a guilty conscience, because they slipped on the oil, he didn't push them. So if anyone wants to die because of an oil accident, that's up for grabs.

I would like him to be murdered, possibly by trying to protect someone but not necessarily. And then he can die slowly and painfully and wonder if he's going to wake up a Water Tribesman. Who's up for it?

Kristoff Bjorgman

So yes, somehow Kristoff was lucky enough to get to the end of all this, but now his time has come to die. I don't really have any prefs here, so is anyone interested? He won't be the type to initiate the fight but he is a big guy and instincts are instinct so he'll probably try and defend himself when it's clear he's being attacked so.

Not really a question, just pointing out Pruna is not on the death list. Like... I realise I can just kill her off anyways I'm just worried she's maybe missing from a mod list somewhere!

This just occurred to me, but the one time we actually watch the Avatar die in canon (instead of having him pulled from the brink of death or being hidden by rubble while he dies), he literally breathes out the Avatar spirit, which takes the form of a glowing green thing that dissolves into the air. Is it okay if Aang does that, and the Capitol just has ways of stuffing it right back in there when they bring him back to life?
