Lady Lazarus Plot

Read this IC network post first.

Eva has shut down the security and electrical grid in the Capitol for three hours tonight. Your character is free to try and make the most of this time. This can including attacks on NPCs (although obviously anything including PCs will need player permission), building weapons, hurting each other, coordinating, and general sabotage.

The city is in blackout, and only private generators will work (and getting the Tribute Center back into light isn't a very high priority). The network is down and any cell phone connections or the like are down.

In the Arena, there's a power outage. This includes the cameras monitoring the Arena, as well as the roombas, escalator, and anything of that sort. The animatronics are down and the mall is all but pitch black, as there's no natural light. However, before the power goes out, Eva's network post will be broadcast as audio, so Tributes will hear it.

HOW THIS WORKS OOCLY

You can coordinate in this post and on plurk, via PM, so on. When you're up to proposing what your character or group of characters will be doing, tell me in this comment. I'll respond with whether or not that proposal will need to be RNGed and what the consequences will be. You can then confirm whether or not to go ahead with it, and I'll tell you your results.

Because this is player-directed, I'm not sure how this is going to turn out, but I'll try to let everybody find something satisfactory for their character to do.

The first thing that comes to mind is Tony breaking into the net cafe and then just stealing what he can for later rewiring and redesign for if the power comes back.

Shepard might take this chance to explain to anyone currently with her what the deal is. At this point, I'm a little disorganized, so who would that be?

This would be an excellent time for Clara to be brought into the loop about the rebellion since she hasn't really been told about it as of yet. Would anyone be interested in filling her in since she's made it fairly clear that she's anti-Capitol?

Carlos is going to find as many people as he can who he thinks are sympathetic and tell them about 13 and the rebellion. Gonna spread a message of hope, man. If your character wants to know more about 13, hit me up! Carlos will absolutely tell them.

Susannah, like Carlos, is going to be preaching the good word of District Thirteen to anyone she stumbles upon. If you're a District Three tribute, she'll also let you know that Eddie Dean of Panem was not actually captured by the Capitol. (She figured this out when her interrogators kept asking her about his whereabouts and any orders he might have for her.)

I'd like to say Bucky would take the opportunity to try and break out of the arena buuut... this kid is not in the mental/physical place to try that right now. So! He's going to be sticking close to Tony and helping him break into the net cafe.

If anyone has any neat ideas for things with him though I'd be happy to hear them *^*

Thor will be pointedly destroying roombas while they're dormant and he will loudly vocalise all of his rage for the capitol. He knows about D13 and can potentially spread the word to a few people, especially ones he's close to.

WHO WANTS TO TRY BREAKING THE ARENA WITH AANG?

Aang will use this opportunity to try breaking open the skylight to see if he can climb out of the damn arena. He will be successful, but there's a dome above the skylight, which will be electrified again before he gets a chance to try breaking it.

He will hang out in the crawlspace between the dome and the arena roof, since it's the only place that doesn't have microphones and cameras. He will write coded messages for someone with more understanding of technology to come join him and try to destroy the dome. He will send these out by folding them into paper airplanes, tossing them out of the skylight, and hoping someone picks them up and decodes it. No attempts will be successful in the end, but that won't stop him from trying everything he can.

Groot is going to try and go around smashing all the door alarms in the mall so that racket won't happen again. Otherwise, he'll likely try to get in the way of anyone too violent towards innocents for his taste.

Getting Guns/Weaponry

I'm planning on having Homura try and get some weapons. Mainly and especially guns.

Alex Murphy - open to attacking anti-Capitol Tributes.

Alex Murphy will be running things like he did in the Arena.

ANTI-CAPITOL actions - anyone he sees actively trashing or going against the Capitol, he'll react to harshly. Immediate cooperation means he'll detain and deliver to Peacekeepers. Anything less than that and he attacks, trying to cripple or kill (I'm open to him being subdued or KOed electronically).

PRO-CAPITOL actions - he'll allow crimes for now if it's for the good of the Capitol. This means he's been programmed now to turn a blind eye to theft, assault, murder, etc in some cases if they're in the name of the Capitol.

STEPHEN REAGAN

...is going to try to talk down anyone who looks like they're going to turn violent. He thinks all this is a terrible idea that won't achieve anything besides needless death and a harder crackdown on the Tributes, so he will try to use logic and also keep the people around him calm and safe.

What I would really like to see is him defending someone or something. He wouldn't want to take up arms, but if it looks like someone he cares about is going to be attacked... tl;dr I'd like to force him out of his comfort zone and get him into an altercation.

Sigma Klim/Zero

Sigma publicly admitted to being a Gamemaker where he was from.

It was the truth, but this was so that he could cultivate a mole persona and leak information to the Rebellion.

What I am looking for in this plot is for him to interact with both sides. I am open to Rebellion people thinking he is evil coming after him, as well as Sigma approaching people known to be a part of the Rebellion and making a pact that they can trust eachother and he will give them info.

Sigma's moley-ness is something I plan on continuing up until possibly endgame, so your character, under any circumstances, cannot reveal this to another player or NPC. I still want some people in the Rebellion to hate him and want him dead, but I do need at least one other person that could vouch for him so he won't be shot on sight at endgame. Hopefully that makes sense.

Otherwise, I'm open to all kinds of ideas! :D Lay them on me!

Cyrus will be trying to preserve some semblance of order! Keyword: Trying! Things I'm considering: Having him trying to round up enough Peacekeepers to keep things contained; trying to talk people down.

First and foremost, though, he'll be searching for Stephen. Woe betide anyone who comes between him and that goal.

So Darcy's sort of confused about everything going on here, but would be more than willing to be a distraction for anyone who needs one!

Elsa + Holly Day

So Elsa is going to be doing some vandalism and graffiti with Dave, but if anyone wants to do anything with her I would totally be up to that! She's very much interested in getting involved in rebellion, she just doesn't quite know how.

I have a bit of an idea for Holly that would require someone on the violent side. Basically, I feel like Holly has kind of been leaning towards pro-rebellion, even though she keeps it to herself quite a bit. So my idea, maybe, is that someone ends up beating her up during this, so that it can fuel a bit of anti-tribute sentiment in her. I'm not sure if there's anyone in the Capitol who would beat up a drag queen, but if anyone is willing to explore this I would be really happy! Ideally, she would get badly injured but not lethally. Just enough that she's battered and bruised for a while.

CASSIUS JONES

Cassius, unless given orders, will be running around like a chicken with his head cut off. He'll try his best to keep the peace and deal with anyone acting dangerously or destructively as best he can, but he'll also be in way over his head. If anyone wants a Peacekeeper to protect your character, team up with your character, or fight your character, let me know!

Tech Requests

Brainy and Lyle will be taking this opportunity to crank out tech requests like crazy in a very short space of time. Priority will be on the biggest requests causing the largest amounts of damage. They'll be collected by Lyle who will go around in a disguise witha voice distorter. He can prove he's working for Lonestar by quoting things Lonestar or the people he's speaking to have said in the Lonestar posts that were locked and encrypted.

So request away here and then I'll gather them up to be RNGed.

WHO WANTS TO KILL AN INNOCENT BYSTANDER?

Since I'm dropping Shaggy anyway, I figure I'd offer him up as a casualty for either side. Depending who murders him, his death could be great propaganda for the other side!

SO who wants to join Jet and Albert in attempting to get information from the Capitol pertaining to tech, power suppression, and/or the truth behind District 3? Unfortunately, to lower their odds of being caught, the duo will only really allow one other person to come with them.

Be aware that this will be RNGed and if they get caught, they'll all be tortured, blacklisted, and have friends and loved ones be punished on their behalf.

Justine - Who wants to beat up the scary doctor and/or get Capitol secrets?

Justine has a lot of enemies. She will be attacked in her office. Anyone is welcome to fill this role, and if no one wants to, it can be an NPC past victor or something. Whoever it is will get a few good hits in (and if it's the NPC, they'll stab her) before she grabs a syringe and pumps them full of paralytics. Then she will probably taunt them, possibly adding in a heavy dose of sexual harassment in there, and incapacitate them for the rest of the night. If it's an NPC, she will kill them.

Then she will hobble out into the street after giving herself minimal first aid and loading up on rings with hidden venomous spikes. If she finds people who she has reason to believe are part of the rebellion and has the ability to keep a secret, she will give them very sensitive information about the Capitol to endear herself to the rebellion, and if asked why she is, she'll tell the story of her tragically dead parents. She will extract promises that no one say where they got the information from.

She is deliberately wandering around the street while in such bad shape because she knows she'll likely be attacked, and it's thrilling to think she might die. And that she might be able to smack someone full of poison. Her rings carry paralytics, so characters smacked with them will be down for the count.

I'd like for Siroc's death to happen during/after this event. He's had a Roomba friend he had been trying to program. I would love for the Roomba to viciously turn on him when the lights come up. Not a RNG thing, since I mean for him to die this way, but I thought I would mention that here, to make sure it is workable!
