This is not a love meme, however, that also doesn't mean it is a hate meme. Someone's driving can be good, feel free to say as much! Just try to give them an idea on how.

Hi, mods! I know you're currently in the middle of restructuring so things are a little disorganized behind the scenes, but I have some concerns about how the recent app round was handled. Specifically I feel as though communication wasn't very good especially in regards to people who weren't already in the game and that information about basic things, such as when apps were opening and closing and how many spots were available, was more difficult to find than it needed to be.

When spaces are so limited, it makes sense to have information on how many spaces are available and when apps are opening/closing easily accessible on the application page. That's where most people are going to check; many people don't follow or even look at game plurks before they're accepted, many people mark their timelines as read and don't comb back through everything that was posted while they weren't on plurk, and others don't even use plurk at all. Plurk should never ever be your main place for spreading game information, especially very time-sensitive game information. People I knew who were apping were under the impression that reserving guaranteed that they would be able to put in an app and have it looked at and were confused when apps opened and closed so suddenly and with no warning from their perspective. Those who were already in the game or knew people already in the game had a great advantage, which is shown by how many of those accepted where returning players or people who knew current players.

I think it would have been much better to have a set open and close date for applications or at least to have been very clear that applications would close as soon as a certain number of applications was reached. Having a set date for open allows everyone to have their apps ready rather than having to scramble when apps open unexpectedly. Having a set date for close means that everyone can get their applications in before deadline rather than being taken by surprise when they have far less time than they thought they would. I realize this may mean looking through a lot of applications for you and I understand not wanting to do it, which is why I'm mostly calling for better communication in general.

It wasn't made clear that you needed to have your app ready basically as soon as applications opened if you wanted a chance to send it in before apps closed again. It should be made more clear that only a certain number of applications can be sent in and actually stated what this number is on the app page or at least made clear that the number of slots is very small. This would allow everyone a chance to send in their applications before the deadline and make sure everyone was aware that the deadline might come extremely quickly (which is why I think having at least a set date for apps to open would be nice, so that everyone had a fair chance to have their application ready). Those that aren't accepted or don't get in by the cap can always re-app.

However you choose to do applications in future, I think clearer communication and information directly on the app page is key and won't really take any extra effort on your part. Having all that info in one place and in the place every potential applicant is most likely to check seems sensible. It's important for people who are apping to know how the app cycle will work no matter what the actual mechanics are, so nobody gets blindsided and isn't able to get a fair shot at joining. Other app cycles in the past have worked way better so I'm inclined to think this one was just rocky due to internal restructuring and everyone being very busy with RL, but I still thought I ought to speak up since I know I'm not the only one who was a little uncertain about how it was handled. I was a little worried at first that she would sound too much like Bianca, which I expressed when you first apped- but I just wanted to let you know it ain't an issue at all. In the short time you've been playing her, you've really fleshed her out and made her into a full fledged character. I really, really love what you're doing with her and how she's more of a mama bear type character to the tributes. She also shows off your creativity and wit, because all of her tags are full of witty sass and it's hella fun to read.

I don't have any crit for you, just a lot of love. Jolie is a fantastic character and I love her a lot.

However I shall take a moment to comment on what I've seen on Elsa, only because I know nothing about Starkiller.

The few things I've stalked seen of her you've brought out really well, I was a touch unsure what you would highlight as her but reading threads makes me want to have Tony start bothering her for sure!

I love it that Bucky always runs out of patience reserve for Tony so fast in their tags together. I'm a sucker for CR where you aren't sure if it's positive or not.

That being said, I can't help but feel you prioritize tags with Natasha over all others. I know that IRL you've been having a bit of unfun and tagging her could help you out there. However it can give the impression of disinterest to others.

Other than that, I really enjoy your Bucky and qould love to have him and Tony interact more!

But no seriously, Shepard is a delight to play off of. You capture the Renegade Shepard tone really well, and her responses are always interesting to read. She's just the right shade of charming jerk without being too aggressive or stand-offish. It takes a special kind of character to pull me so enthusiastically into a new fandom. My only real crit is that I'd love to see more of her. <3

Given that my impression of Roland is that he's fairly reserved and doesn't talk more than he needs to, it's nice that your tags always have clear hooks when it would be very easy for you to not give much to work with.

Just this lady here. I kind of slipped and lost my footing there for a while as a new player. Got a bit of help regarding that so I hope things have been a bit more accurate re: the game's setting.

One thing I'd love some advice on is how to close up threads. I'm one of those people who will keep a thread going forever and this game's point system encourages ending threads. If there's obvious signs to look for when the other party is trying to wrap something up, I'd love to know about them.

I just want to heap on a ton of praise for your characterization. People can attest, I am very devoted to her as a character and her dynamic with Matt is probably one of my all time favorite relationships in all of comics, period. Your Natasha is fabulous. She's the right combination of in control and vulnerable under the surface and I love all of our threads and also reading her threads on the anon post especially.

Zoidberg. Is. Hilarious. He is fantastic. I wouldn't have thought a character from a show like Futurama would even be able to fit in this game's setting, but he seems to fit flawlessly. It's been fun to see how he thinks of the whole games thing, especially now that he doesn't have to participate in them anymore. The way his mindset fits into the mindset of Panem is really interesting to watch.

I don't know much about Homestuck but watching people talk about it I've gotten the idea that there's not too much in it about Signless? It seems like he's a character where you'd have to fill in a lot of gaps yourself, but from watching you play him I'd never know it. He feels like a really full, interesting character, and tbh if there was a webcomic specifically about him and his life I'd read the hell out of it because you've made me really like him.
