New Tribute In Town!
This is Sar, otherwise known as the mundane behind everyone's favorite hypochrondriac, Joly, and this is Character #2! Siroc comes from a cheesy little action adventure series known as Young Blades, which aired on the Pax channel a good...eight or nine years ago. It's not to be confused with the Hugh Dancy movie, though I'm gonna bet the production values on that were a whole LOT better.
Young Blades acts as a loose sequel of sorts to the d'Artagnan Romances, featuring d'Artagan's son, a not at all believable lady musketeer masquerading as a boy, a passionate poet, and a genius inventor. A very loose sequel with references to modern technology, pop culture jokes, and everything else. It patently refuses to take itself seriously, and is altogether a pretty amazing little show. Siroc, here, is the gang's aforementioned inventor, and his inventions and discoveries have included: a flying machine, a submarine, cubic zirconia jewelry, plans for a prototype machine gun designed by daVinci, and, pretty disturbingly, a watermelon bomb. No, seriously. Several of these inventions have backfired in amazing ways. For some reason, they also let him be the one to do autopsies, so he's pretty well versed in the human body, and on ways to hurt people badly should he need to do it.
Siroc himself is a little hard to approach at first, but, once he's warmed up to you, is friendly enough, with a wry sense of humor who is willing to teach and learn from as many people and sources of knowledge as he can. He's a musketeer cadet in the grand fictional tradition where most of them fight with blades, as opposed to the actual historical variety involving muskets.
After this arena, he'll be hoping into District 8, and I'm really looking forward to getting him out and about. Additional information can be found over at his journal, though there IS a trigger warning for slavery and implied violence. Other than that, I can hardly wait to get him into the arena, and for him to start making friends!
