Following the end of Arena 12, the Capitol will be introducing a new head Gamemaker in advance of Arena 13. Plutarch Heavensbee will be formally revealed as the new boss following the finale of Arena 12 next month, and he's got some new-old ideas about how to run the Arenas. Plutarch will emphasize a return to form for the Games, a restoration of the old ways and the Games of the past.
First on his to-do list is a new scoring template and the mandatory rescoring of all Tributes and past-Victors. With so many Tributes to rescore, the process will begin during Week 2 of Arena 12, allowing all resurrected Tributes to have individual sessions with the Gamemakers. They will be given the opportunity to present a talent, physical ability, impress with their mental capacity, etc. These sessions are private, with an individual Tribute and the Gamemakers. Afterward, they will sit down for a one-on-one interview with legendary host Caesar Flickerman for an interview for sponsors. An interview montage will be prepared from the responses and will air before Arena 13.
Additionally, all Tributes will be given the opportunity to receive a token to carry with them in Arena 13 as a personal memento or symbol. This item can be anything from a piece of jewelry to a family photo, as precious as a gemstone or as innocuous as a slinky and anywhere in between. If this is a weapon or something else that gives an unfair advantage, it won't be allowed, but the Tribute's stylist team will make sure the Tribute gets a pin with a symbol of their weapon on it. Pins are all the rage right now. This token can be changed at will later so don't worry too much about it if you can't think of anything. Upon resurrection in the Capitol, those Tributes who select a token from their homeworld will find it's been brought in for them and will be waiting in their room. If your character chooses something from Panem instead, that's fine too.
Participation in this is required for all Tribute
and Victor characters. Because it may take awhile to get everyone taken care of, you will have until
January 15th, 2015 to complete these forms.
