So, I knew I was going to move, but I ended up moving a lot sooner than I initially anticipated. But I'm back now, and ready to jump into the latest Arena!

If you want to toss some plot ideas at me, feel free. I'll have a post up shortly.

Welp. It's Barbara mun, again, and I seem to be making all the OOC posts lately - but I'd like everyone to say hello to my fourth and probably final character here in the games, come to round out my character list.

He's an old OC of mine, with annoyingly deep roots - meaning that I can write (quality) posts for him with a tenth of the effort it takes for anyone else. That's the good news.

The bad news - if you want to call it that - is that he's a manipulative SOB, obsessed with gathering power and controlling the people around him (something in part inspired by the death of his wife, and his determination never to be forced into such grief again. If he can control the world around him, he feels that he can protect himself from it.)

...Of course, that makes the Capitol government itself the bane of his existence. Not that he would ever express such sentiments out loud, of curse, but for a man who sees domination and control, the knowledge that another entity has the potential to override everything he's worked for on an impulse...

Well, let's just say he could do without it. He's not that fond of the rebellion, either: it's too much of an unknown variable for him (he assumes it exists, but has little real information on it) and it's too likely to sweep him up with the rest of the Capitol. so his real interest lies in the machine used to bring tributes here - and whether it can be used to transport him *elsewhere.* Somewhere he can set up a sphere of influence all his own, and perhaps form his own (hopefully more benevolent) version of the Capitol. If there's one thing you've got to give Nathaniel, it's that he knows the benefit of power that's willingly given over that which is forcefully taken and then reinforced through continuous application of fear.

Anyway, recent events have caused him to start paying more attention to the tributes, as he hopes they'll be useful. Plus, he doesn't have to worry quite so much about liking one of them, only to have them die and disappear on him forever, which is something that kept him from directing any real interest toward them in the past. Expect him to be all over the place, trying to gather up information that nobody can give him and getting annoyed.

TL;DR - Nathaniel's a manipulative SOB with a couple endearing qualities and an unfortunate habit of running amok in my head and derailing everything and everyone, restrained only by his personal moral code and his healthy fear of the Capitol's capabilities. He's also rich. HAVE FUN TRYING TO GET HIM TO SPONSOR YOU.

(PS: His app is over here. <3

PPS: Nathaniel can be a pretty intense character. He tends to get people wrapped up in his own things, and he's likely to try and bid on tributes/victors - mostly just to talk to them. I'm open to any plot anyone wants to do, but by the same token if he makes anyone uncomfortable, please don't be afraid to tell me.)
