It's Britt here, your resident Sherlock Holmes / Maximus / Ellie mun, with her fourth (????) Character - Kurt Wallander! Kurt is joining us as a Panem AU Peacekeeper - specifically, he's a detective that mostly deals with serious crimes as well as being on the rebellion task force.

For those who aren't familiar with his canon (which, I think, is nearly all of you), Kurt's life is awful, because he is awful at life. In this AU he recently divorced his wife after the 74th Hunger Games (so about 2 years, in game, i think?), has a twenty-something daughter named Linda who he never seems to do right by, and a job that runs him into the ground.

This is my first Capitol Character so I am super excited for CR with the Capitol crowd, as well as all the tributes!

STEPHEN HAS NOTHING BUT RESPECT FOR WALLANDER. He appreciates the hard work and long hours the Peacekeepers put in to keep Panem's citizens safe. :D

That's terrible. If Stephen caught on that Wallander was run-down by his job, he would definitely offer to take Wallander out for a drink, and would listen to anything Wallander wanted to talk about. Stephen's end of the conversation might be kind of stupid, since he believes everything the Capitol says wholeheartedly, but he would definitely be genuinely sympathetic.

He will totally be up for a drink and vaguely moan about his life. Wallander isn't 100% on the koolaid but he's pretty firm in his backing of Capitol policies (most of the time) so Stephen's chatter might not be inherently stupid to him c:

Anything you want! Kurt's been in the capitol for a few years now, so there's plenty of opportunity for meetings c:

That's cool! Barbie's been in the capitol for several years as well and he used to be all over the public everything until he 'suddenly' quieted down a few years ago.

They could have easily just met while Barbie was mentoring or at some event; he's pretty easy to talk to.

Maybe they could have met several years ago while Wallander was still a rookie peacekeeper? He could have escorted him somewhere sometime and then when he got promoted and moved to the capitol, looked Barbie up?
