This isn't really crit, I am just curious about how characters are scored and how this relates in relation to other characters. I've noticed lately that some characters are being accepted with scores from the Gamemakers which are several points higher or lower than what the players evaluated their characters at. For example, I noticed one self evaluated as 6, but was then scored a 4. Another self scored at 9 but was bumped up to a 10. Sometimes these score changes don't seem to make a ton of sense when compared to the scores of characters already in the Games. I'm wondering about the process behind deciding scores.

I do have a few concerns with Kankri, honestly. I know you have him from a very early canonpoint and are going off the belief that he is slightly less terrible than he is when we see him speak in canon, but...I don't believe I've really seen you expand on any of his negative traits at all? In your app you do say he can come across/be patronizing and that he's not really empathetic all the time of other people's problems and etc, and I can't say I've really seen that in game. I know and I do accept your idea that he's better before spending eternity getting more and more self-centered, but I do think he would have still been pretty terrible, and it would be nice to actually...see that touched on, even if it's just in a "he could be like this" sort of thing, or just something to bring his negative traits to life instead of having them being swept under the rug. I'm not saying HE NEEDS TO BE AWFUL!!, but having subtle hints of his more unsavory traits could make him seem more like he could become the Kankri of the future if there's no intervention.

I've only really played with Shion recently, but your writing has improved so much. You're giving a lot more prose and Shion seems very well-realized. I really appreciate it and have really enjoyed our recent thread (even if Shion didn't ;)).

Wyatt is a legend, whatever incarnation of him you try to tackle, and humanizing a legend always takes some effort. I think you've succeeded very well in keeping him down-to-earth, understanding his context and his motivations, and I'm really looking forward to seeing where their CR goes in the future.

I just want to say that it's been really fun to tag Some. He's a lot different from what I expected, having only seen him peripherally via associations with my other CR. I'm glad I got the chance to thread with him properly.

As for suggestions, I use HabitRPG to make catching up on tags more like a game. I've got "tag back", "tag 10 times", and "tag nirvana" as habits on there. Which means I get to spam the first one for experience, use the second one to see how often I'm getting a lot done, and the third as a reward if I ever manage to reach it, haha.

That and tag plurks, which I think are useful for visualizing getting things done. Also, I think it makes people less antsy about waiting for tags if they can see what you've been up to, RPwise. But it's definitely a person-by-person thing.

Been more busy with life than roleplay the last week or so, though I should finally be able to hit people back up tonight! As well as tag into new things.

I'm particularly concerned if I've been engaging with Barbara at all, to be honest, and I know it can be more difficult having come from a canon that's been AU'd into Panem, and also being a Capitol centered character. Is there anything those who've threaded with me have noticed and would like to see clarified or improved? Any thoughts that have struck people on how to have her be more engaging? She wasn't able to be (and won't be able to be) much of a Sponsor's gifting character this Arena without much inflow of credits (sobs, just my timing and all) but so far it's looking better for next... Arena... on that front!

Also, how am I doing with Barbara's presentation of herself as an airhead and not particularly adept at focusing on details or "getting" what people are saying to her versus her inner dialogs where she very much does? Is that coming across well, or at all? Would anyone see a benefit from having her one motivation for why she plays nice-ish with the Capitol be taken away /stares at Alfred in D3, but ponders this as well.

I've really enjoyed what CR I've been getting with her District Tributes and (I need to hit up the newest Mentor but) Mentor(s), but again, same verse as before: how do you feel about Barbara as related to them? Do you want to see more direct engagements?

Can I just say that Babs has been the sort of gal pal that Harley's needed?

Harley has made alot of friends in the games and they each respond to her silliness in different ways. But I think it speaks to Barbara's like for tending to children that she often treats Harley like a big kid. It's not so much playing dumb because either Harley's not fooled or Babs doesn't feel the need to play it up that much around Harley. It's more like she's playing with Harley instead of playing down to Harley.

Harley still doesn't see Barbara as a mentor really, just another friend.

But on the up side that means that Harley is loyal to her and if something were to happen to Alfred and Babs had to call on her for comfort, support, dangerous acts of rebellion or what have you, Harley probably wouldn't think twice about it.

As for interactions with other mentors I admit I've been really awful about this with Azula and need to improve. I think Azula is perceptive enough to know that Babs is putting on a show, but she doesn't know why nor does she really care. She'd hardly be the first victor to put on a show whenever they're in public. If they interact Azula will probably play along with her airhead act and depending on how Airhead Barbara treats Azula the results will very.

Hey guys, Vero here with my only character, Benjamin F. "Hawkeye" Pierce from M*A*S*H. I'm always interested in hearing anything at all you might have for me- any tips, concerns, questions, or anything that you think I might have to hear. I don't bite, I promise, but if there's a problem you think I should work on please try to be specific and it'll help me out immensely.

Personally my goals to improve on are, as always, speed and consistency in tagging, along with finding a way to shorten tags while putting everything I want to put in them, in them. :|a Any problems or feedback at all- shoot! He's a difficult character, so, like I've already said, anything at all helps.

Frankly, I see no reason for you to try and make your tags shorter. Whenever I get a tag from you, I know it's going to be filled to the brim with rich details about Hawkeye's perspective, his stream of consciousness, and tons of little physical details for me to play with and make use of in my responses. You make him rich, complex and multi-layered and it makes tagging you a breeze, as far as I'm concerned, and a ton of fun.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, you fleshing out the character of Effie Trinket has been wonderful. She is really one of the only not violent influences in Sandy's life right now and probably one of the only people who gives her hope that life isn't always garbage.

While I haven't interacted with Katniss nearly as much I also enjoy her threads, especially her interactions with Peeta. I feel like you have a good idea of how she should/would behave if things didn't go the way the movies and books have them go.

My only complaint is what you already mentioned, the slow. But life comes first and I respect that. It's mostly just me being selfish because I want more :)

But I'm willing to wait and willing to backtag with you into the sun so don't worry. You sort out life and whenever you can or if you need a little pick me up just swing on back.

I know that I'm a slow tagger, and I'd like to thank everyone who plays with me for their patience in that respect. I've been working very, very hard to not drop threads (which is something I've recieved crit on multiple times in the past), and I hope that the improvement has been noticeable.

I've also seen crit, though no one has ever brought it to me directly, that I don't tag out enough -- this was mostly due to having received other crit for dropping too many threads along with advice to cut down on threads, particularly tagging into open things. That advice has worked very well for me, and I've still been making new out of cast CR with pre-planned threads, but I'm working currently on upping the number of open posts I tag into now that my activity is starting to pick up. Hopefully you will start to see an improvement on this front in the coming weeks!

I thiiiink that's just about everything I wanted to address! If you have any comments/observations on these issues or something I haven't mentioned, I'm all ears.

I just wanted to say now that I've noticed some of the effort you've been making these days with not dropping threads and to keep tagging and I want to commend you for that. It's encouraging to see and I hope you continue with what you've been doing on that. I'll be looking forward to whatever comes with future things.

Sherlock is obviously still very new to The Games, and I'm still finding my footing, as well. I'm trying to balance his reactions to the arena with his core personality, so if anything's seemed off I apologize. I'm hoping getting through the first arena and into the capitol will provide me some more time to stabilize his voice, motivations, and visibility! Also I've noticed that I've made a few really strange typos in some of my tags and I'm not sure how they're slipping by me, but I'm aware of it and on the look out to be more careful in that regard. If there's anything else, please feel free to tell me-- Sherlock's a character who can easily step on toes, so I'd prefer as much ooc communication as possible.

Having played with you for years now (what's it been? 3? 4?) I will say that I think you're probably at your best right now. I feel that you're really come in to your own and your writing lately has been really surprising in how clear and beautiful it is (not that you were bad before!!!) And I adore the CR with Courf and Max and I'm so looking forward to developing more of that in the future.

I've already told you that I love Orc. You have made him much more of a character than Michael Grant ever bothered to do, and I am SO SORRY for Eponine's behaviour towards him. But what I love is that you are just willing to go with the flow. It makes for really interesting RP when we don't have everything planned out exactly and it just... happens. (my favourite style of RP - wing it and hope the other character doesn't off mine!)

I've never played Cecil in public before, so any crit would be hugely, hugely appreciated! Specifically: Am I balancing canon and AU effectively? Are his morals sufficiently non-Euclidean? Is he easy to play off of? Does he sound like Cecil? Let me know, too, how I'm doing on plotting and follow-through - I've had a rough week or two school-wise, but if I've really dropped the ball on something I said we'd do, I do want to hear about it!

And I guess this is as good a place as any to say it - I'm going to be dropping Neffa once he's done with his last few Arena threads. I just don't feel he's been consistent or engaging at all lately, and with school being insane I don't really have the time to work that out with more/better planning. If you've got any crit for him, too, though, I'd be delighted to hear it - he might be back eventually.

I know we haven't threaded yet, but I really enjoy your Cecil's voice. After having blitzed through WtNV, he sounds spot on and I can hear Cecil Baldwin in my head seamlessly saying everything you write.

The only thing I can think of is that his weather reports seem fairly normal. I know in the podcast they're music, but maybe something like he does for traffic? Off the wall and not necessarily having to do with traffic at all... idk though, I feel this is completely to your discretion and the way it is now doesn't take anything away at all.
