Arena 07 Death Post - Week Three
-WEEK THREE-
INSIDE THE ARENA[S]
The long night ends abruptly; no gradual sunrise or early shadows of morning. The daylight comes on like a light switch, though not entirely the same in both. In the candy-coated sugar arena, the day comes on like the flick of a whip. Instant. Immediate. Almost violent. The light is harsh and vivid and the music seems to grow just a little bit louder than it was just before. In the barren desert arena, the light seems to glide through the air as if the hand of some god were sliding the sun across the sky with its thumb. An ease from light to dark, if compared to the other side. Still impossibly quick for anything possible in nature.
This does not last.
Not by a long shot.
If a person could time it, the light would come and the light would go in a steady on-off-on-off rhythm every three hours. The light switches on and remains for three hours, and then retreats just as quickly as it came. Night lasts for three more. Just as the impossibly long day and the impossibly long night that came before, these tiny three-hour-long micro days of light and darkness continue on in relentless, stop-watch-like rhythm.
As ever still, the tributes continue to fall. The canons sound throughout each arena and the faces are displayed across the sky as the anthem of the Capitol plays:
As usual, tributes will be seen in the Capitol, only a few days after after an arena death.
Arena1: Candyland
Nighttime has not lessened the quickened pace of the decay that has long taken hold of the poisoned and fallen bodies that litter the arena. What remains still remain are almost entirely beyond recognition by now. A sticky-sweet moss flourishes in the still moist caverns of the bodies, and clusters of sugar-dusted gumdrops are beginning to show beneath the pickled spoiled remains of flesh. There is a sickly sweet smell that comes from them. Sugar and bile. Its an acidic stench that leaves a sour taste in the mouth if you start to get anywhere close.
**Until otherwise stated by the mods, day/night will last 3 hours each!
Arena2: The Desert
While the doki-doki of sugarland on the other side don't seem to mind the sudden change from day to night, here in the wastes of the desert, the animal kingdom does not seem to be making the unnatural adjustment to their new schedules. Unfortunately, the response seems to be a general if not dramatic increase in aggression all around. Critters typically fond of the night time are especially agitated right now, at unexpected and unpredictable times, often very violently.

DESERT ARENA CORNUCOPIA. ←links to thread
GROUP 2! If you happen to wander around the area of P7 in the near future, that is where this week's cornucopia can be found. If you would like your character to try their chances at finding something, please reply to the proper thread below.
Cornucopia rolls for this arena will happen weekly. Successes results will be worth it. Fail results will increase the number of times your character's name will be entered in the following Death Roll.

Any character above may be "bought" out of death by another character for the price of 400 Credits. No character may buy themselves out of their own death with their own credits. Characters without enough credits are allowed to pool credits from other player characters, so long as it has been discussed by all parties.
If a character is being bought out of death, please respond to the appropriate thread below, before the next death roll post, so that both players and mods are on the same page of who is really dying, and who... might not be.
If you would like to volunteer your character for death before they are rolled, you are free to do so at any time. Please just let a mod know in the Death Buyout thread so your character(s) can be properly removed from the arena!

LIFE IN THE CAPITOL.
Fabric prices are still at a record high. An unfortunate time for the weather to drop to unseasonably cool temperatures. Rainfall every day has amounted to inches. The typical afternoon showers of the mountain summers have been more like afternoon downpours.
That does not seem to be the case across Panem, however. A large fire in Distinct 2 caused the temporary evacuation of a Peacemaker training facility the other day. Sources report that the fire was caused by lightning and bushfire. No Peacemakers were seriously injured in the fire.
