Arena Update.

Misty
The snow from last week has all melted away leaving the ground damp and muddy. Tributes will find that their lovely Ugg boots are coated in muck and filth, but otherwise, it was a mostly peaceful display of weather. Saturday evening will bring in low, thick mist which settles in the forest and hangs in the trees. There's nothing inherently dangerous about the mist itself; the only danger lies in who or what may be lurking in it.

Barracuda
Sunday's weather will be damp and cool, and the geese near the bog seem especially agitated. That's because there's something in the bog. Is it alive? No. It's not alive. But it used to be, and it's scaring the crap out of the geese. The geese aren't the only angry animals however. Something will spook the deer and bison in the large meadow, causing them to stampede wildly through the forests. Anyone caught in their path risks injury or death.

Who'll Stop The Rain?
Tuesday will see dark storm clouds blackening out the sky at midday. The large roaming herd animals which seemed plentiful in the past have all taken refuge elsewhere, far, far away. There will be no more deer or bison in the meadows. By nightfall, a torrential rain begins to fall. By about 4am the rain has mixed with snow. By mid-morning on Wednesday, the snow will be gone again.

Knock On Wood
On Thursday night, the storms resume. This time it's a thunderstorm, the likes of which are terrible to behold. The lightning will strike a tree in the pine forest and cause a ravaging fire which will burn for several hours and decimate anyone and anything in its path. After about four hours, the fire will mysteriously burn itself out and the Arena will become calm again.

Sandy and Ruffnut

So I dropped the ball on the first week because of working on other things, but I should be back on task this weekend.

Sandy: Is going to have a thread of her running from angry geese.

Ruffnut: Got the crap kicked out of her by Thor and will be limping around the caves. I'll do an open post for that too.

All my plans are still pretty open at this point- though Milla definitely does survive thanks to the buyout! (Thank you again!)

-Milla will very likely be scouring the area to find friends, ensure they're okay.
-Live off the land best she can. She has some survival training, but she isn't steve irwin, ok, ok.
-Maybe accidentally kill/injury someone she's allies with for DRAMA

I'm happy to plot anything out, just gimme a nudge!

I don't have much solid for Firo right now, meaning I'm open to anything! I do have a comment for him on the log already if someone wants to do general arena things or something at an earlier date.

As for new stuff, I'd love to do some exploring at the creepy bog, if anyone is interested. Also maybe an encounter while fleeing from the fire?

I don't have a lot of solid plans for the next week but some things I would like to do, besides the usual survival and finding her friends, include:

- making a branch/leaf/other forest refuse pile and attacking anyone who gets too close by means of a sharpened stick
- more goose vanquishing, because geese
- ride the barracuda

Loki Laufeyson (MCU) District 7

Loki had a very quiet first week, keeping out of most everyone's way besides a run-in with Thor. Which I'm waiting to see what happens there - but I think Loki may be just running away from his raging brother this time and sheltering in the caves.

This upcoming week I hope to do a post and have him out and about so let me know if anybody wants to run into him.

Bucky Barnes and Clementine

Bucky's had a quiet first week but I want to start getting him into the action now. I'm up for any sort of thread, whether that's exploration, hunting, fights or if anyone wants to off their character this week, killing! I'd love to do something with him involving the crazy weather and eventual fire this week.

His base of operations is one of the caves the Avenger crew has claimed for themselves and cr is welcome to find him there.

Clementine is keeping with her TWD peeps and roaming the arena as best she can. She'll be crafting herself a bow and some arrows using feathers from the geese, which won't be amazing but should work well enough from a certain distance. Testing that will happen at the end of the week.

Same as with Bucky, I'd love to use the weather to do something exciting with her! Fire rescue maybe?

I was also thinking of having Firo flee the fire, if you're up for planning something out with one of your guys (I'm not sure which you'd prefer; I can work with anything). He can help with a rescue or be helped depending on what you wanted to do.

Nick (l4d2), Dave and Thor

Nick someone is doing great for himself as far as supplies go! He has a knife and he is WILLING to kill or injure people. So willing. I am also down for him manipulating people into helping him out with survival stuff and maybe actually making friends??

Dave also has a knife, is mildly afraid to use it. He's going to layer up as many parkas as he can get, he really can't handle the cold change so he'll be particularly miserable and keeping his head down.

Thor again. Knife. Also super interested in having him injure and kill people or situations where people try to reason with him.

Gary Epps

I'm hiatused right now and will be through next week, but I still plan on backtagging the living crap out of this Arena once I get back! So this is more of a general organizational and "plans I've already made and need to solidify" post. If anyone wants to plot more things for this week, I'll be more than happy to make it work!

Current Plans:
- fight a bear with Ruffnut (maybe while it's storming this week? That would drive both Gary and Ruffnut to the caves, as well as the bear)

- HUNTING PARTY WITH D11 (spontaneous and unintentional? Could happen this week, during the stampede, or we could wait until the megafauna start appearing)

- annoy Dave (a lot)

- give Captain Hobo Jack a parka and maybe some booze (he has an extra parka now, and he can extra drinks! Also geese)

- get stuck in one of Hiro's traps (will probably have to wait until the snow starts in earnest, or we could backdate it to the first snowfall earlier this week)

- get stuck in a tree with Psii after getting chased by the same bear he fought off with Ruffnut (this can happen whenever is most convenient, as long as it's after the thread with Ruffnut)

Future Plans:
- attempt to fight someone to appease the Capitol and fail miserably at it(??? or even accidentally kill someone, god he would feel awful and it would be great)

- learn how to hunt things (and also probably fail miserably at it)

- pester all the D9 Tributes

my plans are definitely open right now, but given clint lives to see the light of another week, we've got time to plan things out! right now he's runnings around communing with birds and then going home to roost in the avengers cave.

im open to him getting in a fight and injuring and/or killing someone??? just shoot me a comment/pm/plurk thing and we can figure it out!!! aside from that, ah....DON'T REALLY HAVE ANYTHING OFF HAND BUT

Phil Gray

Since he's now slightly cracked because of what Dandy said to him about having been sent to the Games, Phil is still surviving and will probably start to hunt and prepare himself for the incoming chill. He's up for (apologetically) injuring or killing people but mostly trying to help his fellow Tributes. No solid plans yet so I'm open for anything!

Jack Sparrow

Jack has been mostly surviving and griping about the cold and trying to not die this past week. I'm interested to maybe get him caught up in the fire somehow, and/or be put into a situation where he has to injure or kill someone.

I have a few plots that I made in the initial Arena post that I do plan to get to, but I'm otherwise pretty open!
