Joan is still flatly refusing to kill anyone. Fun! She's available to make alliances, or dress wounds, or just talk to. And more likely than not, to eventually kill. She had a noble, heroic death last time, killed by snakes and not by a person. I'm thinking she needs that trauma this time around.
