Arena 07 Death Post - Week Two

- WEEK TWO-

INSIDE THE ARENA[S]

Regardless of which sky they find above them, it's night time inside both arenas. An endless night to match an endless day. And now that the screens started showing up, there doesn't seem to be a stop to them.

We wouldn't want you to miss out on all the action on the other side, after all.

Over the past few days, a few cannons have sounded. More tributes fallen:

From now on, tributes will return to the Capitol as they normally would after an arena death.

Arena1: Candyland

Even in the darkness this place is cheerfully....odd. The long sunny days have made everything a little more melted and sticky than when it all began.

There is also a noticeable stench coming from area surrounding the cornucopia where the remains of 45-some-odd bodies still lay, rotting in full view of everything. If anyone cares to take note of it, they might notice that all the bodies of the tributes injected with the poison are decaying rather spectacularly. Molds of various colours have spread across decaying flesh, pockets of vivid, oozing slime seeps from old wounds and various orifices. The Doki-Doki have also taken a liking to gathering up "pieces" to make nests out of.

Sweet dreams and enjoy your long night in Candyland!

**Until otherwise stated by the mods, it will remain night inside this arena!

Arena2: The Desert

Here in the desert, the temperature has dropped dramatically. Winds howl through the night for hours on end and then seem to stop suddenly and completely. In the still, quiet silence, sound can carry for miles, so when you hear movement near by... the sounds of scratching, breathing, scurrying and scampering, remember that tributes are not your only danger in this place. There are many terrible things that lurk in the dark.

**Until otherwise stated by the mods, it will remain night inside this arena!

19K is where this week's cornucopia can be found. If you would like your character to try their chances at finding something, please reply to the proper thread below.

DEATH BUYOUTS. ←links to thread

Any character above may be "bought" out of death by another character for the price of 200 Credits. No character may buy themselves out of their own death with their own credits. Characters without enough credits are allowed to pool credits from other player characters, so long as it has been discussed by all parties.

If a character is being bought out of death, please respond to the appropriate thread below, before the next death roll post, so that both players and mods are on the same page of who is really dying, and who... might not be.

This is also a great place to let the mods know if you would like to off your character early, for any reason. Which anyone is allowed to do at any time for no credit cost.

LIFE IN THE CAPITOL.

News from the districts rarely makes headlines, but when the price of rayon fabric sky rockets sometime early in the week, it's only a matter of time before rumor and eventually a full blown report breaks on the news of a factory explosion in District 8.

67 people were killed in the accident.

OUT OF CHARACTER & MOD NOTES.

Just a reminder about how the screes work in the arenas: if your character finds themselves nears a screen (which are EVERYWHERE), it will light up. Each screen is personalize to the tribute viewing it to show highlights of awful things happening to your character's friends in the other arena. In the candy arena, the screens are (before they turn on) flat, jewel colored squares set into the terrain here and there. In the desert they are behind grates.

The scenes are edited to look as awful as possible for the viewer. And of course, having a bright TV screen, often with sound, go on right next to your position isn't necessarily the beacon you want going out into the now dark world around you.

You can either mine through threads or talk to the other players for what they might see. The feeds are generally not live (unless live happens to be them being gutted by Doki-dokis) so at any point, anything that's happened is free game. And it can be edited, so a character sleeping at an awkward angle, played on loop so they look dead? Go for it.
