Valentine's Day Side Plot -- Avoid Baron's Gifts

Hello my fellow Tributes/Capitol Citizens!

This is Mel and I'm bringing you a totally optional and mod-approved side plot just in time for Valentine's Day!

To celebrate the upcoming ending of another Arena and the archaic holiday of Valentine's Day, Baron has sent a ton of gifts to Tribute Tower! When the Tributes go to the main mess hall tomorrow morning they'll find a table with an elaborate display of candies, baked goods, flowers, adorable stuffed animals and other assortments of cheesy Valentine's Day themed gifts sent to them by ever generous Baron Bartlett.

However, as they all should soon realize Baron's gifts always come with a catch.

Two types of chocolate have been laced with drugs. The chocolate covered cherries have been laced with the a designer drug which will lower your character's inhibitions, put them in a generally happy/touchy/feely mood, but give them one heck of a crash after the affect wear off. The chocolate covered caramels have been laced with drugs that will make them hallucinate.

This plot is completely optional. All of the other treats are completed devoid of any and all drugs. Even the chocoholics who wish to opt out can gorge themselves on chocolate truffles or chocolate covered nuts.

If you have any questions about how this affects your character feel free to ask! Also feel free to use this post as a general plotting post to give everyone an idea of what your character will be doing while under the influence.

Edit: Oh, I forgot to include. I will be making a post tonight for this so that we can keep all of the drug related things in one post. You can always feel free to post with your characters outside of that, but to contain all of the possibly triggering material I'm going to make a base post for your character to reply to as needed. Baron won't actually be there to interact with anyone, but the post will be there to kick off the plot.

okok. So Ariadne will probably be avoiding these chocolates just all around because Baron's a total creeper and skeeved her out last time she dealt with him. That said, she may be persuaded to eat, like, one or two, given the right person asking.

Draco, however, is the Boy Who Made All the Wrong Choices and that includes gorging himself on chocolates. Either of them. Both of them. Whatever.

Cinna will not be partaking of these chocolates, but he can be used as a way to get the chocolates to your character if you feel like they wouldn't eat them on their own but would if someone gave them to them. Food in Tribute Tower in generally considered safe so Cinna will not realize that the chocolates are laced. He's going to feel like crap once it comes out that they were but in the meantime he would totally be giving treats to people to enjoy if they seemed like they were feeling pretty down.

Blaine is going to be horribly depressed and it very likely to have some of the chocolate covered cherries. He is also going to be taking some of the gifts to District 2's Suites in an attempt to make it more festive.

Alpha too, with the hallucinatory caramels. Who wants to run into the pissed off violent psychopath high on a hallucinogenic? :D I might use this as an excuse to have him glitch out and switch through is various personas too.

Lindsey will be eating the chocolate covered cherries. I'm not sure his inhibitions could get much lower, honestly, but if anyone wants to get lucky with him, or if he can get lucky with someone, now might be a good chance.

But hey, he could use some happy. XD

Kevin will be indulging very much. Because teenage boy who understands very little in the way of what are life choices. So, yeah, he'll be indulging in both. Let's just hope he doesn't have a bad trip with the caramels. Any female characters want to get hit on/groped by a 16 year old?

Also, the crash from the cherries.... Energy crash or depressive episode or.... something else? What were you thinking of?

Maximus probably won't take any and side eye the whole thing unless someone he moderately likes eats one in front of him and offers him one. (He's weird about being poisoned).

Clint is not generally a binger, but he would totally snack on some of the chocolates if they were offered to him. I'd be up for him eating either if you want to interact with a drugged Hawkeye.

Atticus is all about the chocolates, so he'll probably be nomming on some chocolate covered cherries.

Sigma hasn't seen the Baron yet, and doesn't know that he's someone to avoid forever. And... unfortunately this old guy loves his women and the only thing that stops him from hitting on everyone is that he knows he's way too old now for that to not be creepy. /)_(\ So to avoid discomfort I think I'm going to keep him away from the cherries. Unless you'd be okay with that. Which no one will be.

SO that leaves the caramels. Uhhhh? Anyone wanna... get new CR and hallucinate with my guy?

Or you can dump someone already drugged up onto him and he can deal with your character instead.

Obviously Riddick is not into this. He doesn't take gifts from strangers, he's not stupid. Neeshka, however, is so here. I won't rp anything x-rated, but I do fade-to-blacks just fine ^^

Plus Neeshka doesn't have many inhibitions to begin with, so this should be fun. Anybody want her to scene with?

R is down with trying anything and is canonly a lightweight with things like alcohol :|a Uh, I probably won't do anything too far with R since he's doing the whole zombie thing, but if you need a buddy for hallucinations or someone easily enabled for (slow-talking/moving) hijinks, he's your man.

Adding a comment here for anyone who might have missed it on plurk/doesn't have a plurk:

Wesker will be available with a box of chocolates. He won't be eating any, he can tell something is wrong with them, but he won't be above trying to get other characters to try and eat them so he can see what happens. Conversely, if your character is already flying high, he'll just try to influence them. Think the worst wingman ever. "You can totally take that guy - yeah, the big one over there. Go get him-" -esq.

Eponine will be gorging on both cherries and caramels. Free food? She's not one to turn her nose up. As a result, she's going to end up having some vivid hallucinations. Which will play into her own natural hallucinations. Be warned for a lovesick French girl mistaking you for Marius...

Of all the Tributes, Gretel is going to be queen of Do Not Eat The Fucking Candy.

That said, I'd be interested in her being a target of amorous candy-coded intentions!
